Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellations made between 07:00 local time, 10 business days to 07:00 local time, 7 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 20% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made between 07:00 local time, 7 business days to 07:00 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made between 07:00 local time, 1 business days to 23:59 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 40% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made between 23:59 local time, 1 business days to 1 hours prior to the activity start time will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.

Restrictions
- If less than 28 participants are booked, the activity may not operate. If this occurs,those who have made a reservation will be informed of the matter by 4 days prior to the departure.
- A coach seat is included for Infants. Meals and admission fees are not included.
Required items to bring & attire
- Wearing non-slip shoes and heavy winter clothing is strongly recommended, as it is usually very cold at night and gets below zero. Some roads might get icy. Bringing a flashlight is also recommended as it is very dangerous to walk on the icy streets at night.
- Slip-resistant boots, or shoes with deep treads that prevent from slipping are recommended. *Bring along a torch as the way to the Shirakawago Light-up site is dark.
- A flashlight is recommended when you walk around Shirakawago at night.
- It is strongly recommended to wear a heavy outfit to protect against the cold, as well as to wear shoes that could prevent you from slipping on snowy roads.
- Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended.
- Visiting spots might be very cold. Bringing thick winter clothes is strongly recommended.
Other requirements
- You may not see a lot of snow like a picture, owing to weather condition.
- If this tour goes behind the schedule, we will set our first priority to Shirakawago Light-up. In such case, strolling in Takayama may be omitted or shortened.
- In Shirakawago, there is no shuttle bus service to the observatory during the light-up period. When you go, it takes around 30~40 minutes from the parking lot by walk. The road to the observatory might be closed owing to heavy snow or other weather conditions.
Additional notes
- Early supper (around 16:30~) is planned to be served at a restaurant near Shirakawago Light-up site before visiting there. There are some cases when it is served around 19:30 to 20:00 at a restaurant near the site or at the hotel after visiting the site.
- You will arrive at the hotel around 21:30 after visiting Shirawago Light-up. You can wear “Yukata” only in your private room and the hallway to the public bath from your room. (Slippers can be used anywhere in the hotel.) Please refrain from wearing it in other public spaces.
- According to traffic conditions etc, the order of the itinerary may have to be changed.
- This tour is attended by a tour guide and a tour conductor. The tour guide gives sightseeing information in Japanese only. The tour conductor, who can communicate either English or Chinese, gives language support to the tour members but does not translate the Japanese sightseeing information into English nor into Chinese.
- Please note that the tour is for Japanese citizens and basically operated in Japanese. The accompanied staff gives you the basic information (such as meeting place and time at each stop) in English or Chinese, however, she/he does not gives you the detailed information of visiting places.
- We will not be responsible for any delays, shortenings or omissions made to the itinerary due to traffic, weather or other circumstances that are beyond our control.
- If we have to cancel the tour for typhoon, heavy snow, or other circumstances beyond our control, we decide the matter by 15:00 Japan time one day before the departure and inform you about it by e-mail.
- The place that the tour disbands may be different from the one that it meets. For the actual place, ask the tour conductor on the spot.
