Elegant black and red rickshaws are a great way to see a different side of Japan. Head down side streets inaccessible to tour buses, while your friendly shafu guides you. Besides being athletic, the shafu (drivers) of these unique vehicles are also well-versed in the history and traditions of Japan. They can spirit you away to places only known by locals, and tend to be a gregarious, jokey bunch.
