Enter the world of The Little PrinceReviewed by: Jasmine, 2016/03/07
As a fan of the book, I wanted to take a peek at "The Little Prince" museum to see a bit of France in Hakone. It was a very easy and speedy trip out from Tokyo on the comfortable Romance Car, which was way easier than the local trains I took last year. There's even a cafe inside the train to buy special bento lunch boxes, drinks and snacks!
After getting off the train, I took a bus out to the museum (about 20-30 min) right outside of the Odakyu station (that was out of my own pocket). Most of the announcements for the stops are in English, so that was very handy.
Once I got to the museum, it was like wandering through the streets and gardens of Provence. I came during the winter, so the flowers were not in bloom, but I bet it is gorgeous during the other seasons! The gallery inside are the many displays of Saint-Exupéry's life and the ideas behind "The Little Prince". It is a very small museum and you can probably finish exploring in an hour or two, but it is meant to see with the eyes and values of a child.
