    This Buddhist temple is called Sanjusangendo (Hall of 33 Spaces) because of the architecture of the 120 meter long hall. The hall holds 1,000 statues of the Thousand Armed Kannon, one of the most important Buddhist deities in all of Japan.
  • Kiyomizudera Temple (70 mins)
    Founded in the early Heian Era (7th century), this temple is an icon of Kyoto and offers sweeping views of the ancient capital. Check out the traditional shopping street which leads to this World Heritage Site.
  • 18:00~19:00 Kyoto Train Station
    Board the bullet train headed for Tokyo. Relax as you are whisked back to the modern capital.

  • All Packages
    • Due to traffic conditions or other reasons, public transportation may be used to reach Tokyo Station, or participants may board the Shinkansen at Shinagawa Station instead.
    • The hotel drop-offs that departs from Tokyo Station will service hotels located within the Tokyo 23 special wards area. At the time of booking, please inform us of the name of the hotel at which you would like to be dropped off.
    • Drop-off service is not available for participants who disembark at stations other than Tokyo on the return trip (Shinagawa/Shin-Yokohama stations). Please inform us when booking if you would like to disembark at a station other than Tokyo Station. Also, note that changes to the Shinkansen trip length cannot be made after departure.
    • Train times may change due to time table alterations or other reasons.
    • This tour will not enter Heian Jingu Shrine's Shin-en garden.
    • During the Jidai Festival on October 22, Heian Jingu Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced in the itinerary by Chishakuin Temple. If the Jidai Festival is postponed, the itinerary change will still be implemented on the postponed festival date.
    • Note that the location for lunch and the lunch menu may change in summer.
    • This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour.
    • If the minimum number of participants (1) is not met by 5 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date will be cancelled.
    • The guide will take guests to the correct bullet train (both to and from Kyoto) but will not ride along. There will be staff waiting upon arrival of the train to escort guests to the correct locations.
    • Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions.
      Tour:
      An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating.
      If you would like a seat for a child (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.
