    process02 First, create your personal chopsticks by shaving Kitayama Cedar wood with a small knife.
  • Planing
    process02 Next, shape the rough carved chopsticks flat with a small plane. This process is really important.

    process02 This is a small plane designed to be easy to use when smoothing out rough wood.
  • Sandpapering
    process02 Make the surface smooth with sandpaper, removing fine imperfections.
  • Oiling
    process02 Shine and preserve your chopsticks by applying a natural oil on to the surface.
  • Chopstick Case
    process02 Put a paper pattern on the base chopstick case, then apply the traditional Yuzen Dyeing techniques.
  • Completion
    process02 You now have a uniquely personal pair of chopsticks with a dyed carrying case.
