Experiencing a New Tokyo

Reviewed by: Kurumi, 2016/08/22

It was so fun going around the capital city that it felt like riding a rollercoaster! The price is also reasonable, and it was easy to access since you depart from close to Tokyo Station ^^

You'll Like Tokyo Even More

I boarded after exchanging my voucher for the ticket at the meeting spot near the Maru Building. The seats are assigned beforehand, so I wasn't worried even though I was participating by myself. (The journey to each destination is made in a clockwise loop, so I think the seats on the right side (side D) were a little better.)

Once we started, everyone cheered all at once - "The wind feels great! The traffic lights are so close to us! All of the people waving to us make me oddly happy!" etc.
That kind of refreshing feeling is something that can't be found anywhere else. To be honest, I didn't think an open-top bus would be this nice!

There was one guide accompanying us on the tour who used a mic from the seats behind us to explain everything. The guide especially gave a lot of information when we were going through Omotesando and Shibuya about sweet shops (even though we couldn't get off the bus for them).

Tokyo Station, Kasumigaseki, Omotesando, Shibuya...if you live in Tokyo, they're not especially rare places to visit, but from the viewpoint of a tall, roofless bus, feeling the wind and viewing the scenery, you get a new feeling of discovery on this tour.

I definitely want to invite someone to join me and ride the bus again soon!

A Short Trip with Plenty of Sights

Reviewed by: Chiibo, 2016/08/19

Even though we're Tokyo residents, it was my boyfriend's birthday so we went for the type of atmosphere you can't normally experience.
It was more fun than I thought, and it was great to view the scenery in Tokyo that you can't normally see. Nighttime in Odaiba was especially romantic! I want to take this tour again! It was fun!!

A Different View of Tokyo

Reviewed by: sae, 2016/08/19

I finally rode the red double decker bus I've seen while walking in Ginza!

The first open double decker bus in Japan, I went on the Skybus Omotesando and Shibuya course.

I saw scenery that I'm always looking at when I walk or take the train (like the Shuto Expressway or pedestrian bridges) from a new height.

We departed from Marunouchi, the red brick building of Tokyo Station, passing in front of the Imperial Theatre, around the Imperial Palace. I saw the National Diet Building that I'd been to on a field trip and the Akasaka Palace.

I saw Sakuradamon, Jingu Gaien, the police headquarters, Toyokawa Inari at the prime minister's residence, and Hie Shrine.

The places I usually pass by like Japan's most famous scramble crossing near 109, Omotesando Hills, AO...looking at them from the Skybus made for some totally different discoveries!

More Fun than I Imagined

Reviewed by: a.m, 2016/08/19

I had an even better time than I imagined, feeling the wind on the bus like I was riding a roller coaster. The weather was great which I think made the tour better.

Tour without information

Reviewed by: Jenni S, 2016/08/02

The tour itself was good, however, as an English visitor, I was strongly missing information. As stated,an English audioguide is available, however, the information are very very limited. I would have loved to learn more about the areas as well as gathered Tokyo-specific data.
