Great way to start my garden!

Reviewed by: Red, 2015/09/02

I was looking for something cute to do with my partner and got to thinking it would be nice to have a souvenir from it too. We've been thinking about starting a balcony garden, so when we saw this, it was an immediate go!
The studio was super easy to find, just a short walk down one of the main shopping arcade roads outside Nakameguro Station. Once we got there, the head instructor greeted us and lent us aprons, since we didn't bring ours. Then she started showing us how to work the clay. It was a bit tricky at first but she was there to answer questions and help out, and even spoke some English, which was a huge help.
While rolling and shaping our flower pots, we saw other people come in and work on a bunch of other projects, so I'd really like to go back, and not just to pick up my final work. Speaking of final works, when we were done decorating our pots, the teacher helped us check them and make sure they would be safe in the oven, a really nice touch.

  • Checking out the studio. Look at everything waiting to be fired!

  • Shaping and working the clay

  • Just started!

  • Got carried away with decorating maybe

  • Can't wait to see how it turns out!

  • Racks and racks of tools and stamps
