Everything went smoothly, would recommend.

Once I had to remove battery beacause it froze, but thanks to manual provided - it wasn't a problem. Would recommend. I've stayed in Japan for 3 weeks, so I feel that the renting price was a bargain. Pickup point at Narita was little hard to find, but after few days in Japan I've learned that it's a part of adventure (Tokyo Station, I'm looking at you :-)))

Good reception - Wifi everywhere

Great Wifi

Just what we needed
Reviewed by: Inna, 2016/11/27The router worked perfectly, with coverage dropped maybe twice during the week in Tokyo. You will absolutely need an external battery as it will not last all day, but we carried several for our phones anyway. I think that hoe much you will need to charge the device depends on how much you use it, but I do not know for sure. It was essential fir our ability to navigate Tokyo, check the weather, or use Google Translate to tell people things. For me, an opportunity to share pictures and video (including FB live) on the go was a great bonus. And of course, I could play Pokémon Go (not much, we were too busy looking at things), which got me some great catches in Tokyo.

Service was good, but the WiFi dies so quickly...
Reviewed by: C.S., 2016/03/24My trip was scheduled at the very last minute for my business, and I requested this device right away. But it took a few days for them to process my request, and I had to go without it for the first 2.5 days. It finally arrived on my 3rd day of this trip in the afternoon.
The device worked well, but it dies so quickly. After it was fully charged, it can work about 4, 5 hours depending on how much you use it. I felt like that was too short. I own a pocket WiFi (hot spot) in the U.S., and that lasts all day. So I was really disappointed about it.
The return process at the airport was very simple and easy. I appreciate that because I had a lot stuff to carry with me.
I would say this plan was good overall because of the price. I paid about $60 for 10 days, and it was cheaper than other options I had.

It's fast and works really well.
Reviewed by: petrucciani, 2015/11/16I rented a router via veltra after reading good reviews here. I had my unit shipped to my friend's place in Tokyo, and it was waiting for me there.
I turned on the router (it was fully charged), Find ID in my laptop and iphone settings, and I was good to go. I had no problem during my stay.
It says "Pocket WiFi Router Rental in Tokyo" but actually you can use anywhere in Japan. It worked great in Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nagasaki etc.
I'll use it again next time. Thanks!

Great wifi coverage throughout Japan
Reviewed by: John Sylora, 2014/05/22We rented the pocket wifi LTE version for 15 days. Pickup scheduled at Narita Nikko Hotel worked without problems. It was fantastic. We used Viber to send photos real time to USA family and spoke many times with USA family members even on bullet train at over 100+ mph!! I used Google Maps extensively to follow train, bus, cab, walking paths throughout Japan from mountainous Hakone(near Mt. Fuji) to crowded cities like Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe etc!! It was all possible with the wifi in my coatpocket.
While shopping, I used wifi to compare prices with Amazon.com in US or look up product features on things I needed. We could even have more than 5 devices routing at the same time including Barnes and Noble Nooks, Blackberry, Android phones etc.. I even continued online course on MongoDB database using wifi. I downloaded necessary books, course material, and viewed videos provided by course without problems. It was like never leaving the USA as far as connectivity. Thanks Veltra and Pocke Wifi Rental for greatly enhancing a wonderful Japan trip!!

Experience the Expected when you are properly connected
