Good times yummy timesReviewed by: Jasmine, 2016/10/17
Instead of just going to dinner to eat, my colleagues and I decided to join an udon making class to make our own dinner! I went to a soba making class before, but this was my first time trying to make udon. I was wondering how hard it would be, but with helpful support from the super friendly staff, we were able to make a batch of delicious udon! They even made fresh tempura on the spot which was super yummy too. Fresh udon is definitely different from the instant stuff in supermarkets so it's definitely a must try! The ingredients are super easy to get unlike soba so I think I might want to try making some at home next time.
Making udon from scratchReviewed by: Missy, 2016/10/17
The activity was held in an actual udon shop, which was cool. We made the udon starting fron just flour, water and salt, then got to mix it and flatten in using our feet (my favorite part!). After rolling it out and cutting it, which is harder than it looks, they cooked it up for us along with a selection of fresh tempura! My favorite was the sweet potato, very tasty and fluffy. We also got to taste test the difference between our own noodles and those made by the pros. A unique experience to say the least.
