temple. Here you can experience a Buddhist training program, which has even attracted visitors from abroad. Gammokuzan Ryusenji Temple, built in the 1300’s, is also a notable temple linked to mountain
worship.

The Tateyama mountain range of the Northern Alps is one of Japan's most stunning scenic locations, which used to be a symbolic place of mountain worship. Additionally, Tsurugidake is the only glacier in Japan, an awe-inspiring site that brings may visitors to Kamiichi town, nestled at the foot of this stunning moutain. A paradise for hikers, there are many different trekking routes you can explore to discover the mountain, ocean and rural scenery of Toyama.
