Best view of Westminster

Before you get on the London Eye, you have to exchange your voucher at the County Hall, located next to the Eye. Inside you will have to find a box office for pre-booked tickets. Luckily the queue wasn't very long, and after maybe 2 minutes I had my tickets.

Then we joined the regular queue to the Eye, it was quite long but moving fast - it took us maybe 15 minutes to get in and we arrived at a popular time for seeing the sunset. The view was amazing, especially Westminster and Big Ben - almost like from a postcard. The Eye was moving slowly so there was a lot of time to take pictures.

I recommend buying this pre-purchased tickets, as it saves you a lot of time - you don't have to queue twice and you can get your ticket fast.

London Eye

Picking.up tickets was easy after we found out where to go to get them. I suppose we were not observant enough to realize we had to go to one location to pick up the tickets before entering the line to present them. That wait was about 10 minutes and the wait to ride was about 20 minutes on a Thursday afternoon. There was no real advantage to pre-booking our tickets on this particular day or time. I understand the line can be much longer at other times, especially after schools are dismissed in England. However, it gave us peace of mind to know we had the tickets in advance and could plan our trip accordingly. Views from the Eye were very good, even though it was a cloudy day (Are there any other kind in London?). The ride is great fun and one gets a new perspective of London. I would do it again on another visit.

If you are in London, you have to get on the eye. It is still busy with the tourists from all over the world, and the tickets ain't cheap, but totally worth it. During the weekend there is always long que so you might need to wait unless you have first track, or you better visit during the weekdays. We enjoyed great view of the thames, big ben and the parliament. Highly recommended activity & must do in London!

This has to be on the short list as something to do when in London.
