About Pinaisara Falls
The tallest waterfall in Okinawa with a stunning 55m drop! Its name means "Old Man's Beard," and its majestic atmosphere is truly mystical. Relax by the cool basin or satisfy your adventurous spirit with canoeing and trekking.

Canoeing Lesson & Departure
Our experienced staff will provide a thorough lecture. Please feel free to ask any questions!

Mangrove Canoeing (approx. 40 min)
Relax and enjoy the mangroves of Iriomote at your own pace along the 14km course.

Jungle Trekking (approx. 50 min)
Explore the wilderness and encounter seasonal wildlife like lizards, frogs, and butterflies as we head for the stunning top of the falls!

Arrival at Pinaisara Falls & Lunch
Time for a special lunch! The owner will cook a fresh meal on-site using a portable burner. Enjoy your meal with a view! During free time, feel free to meditate under the falls or dive into the basin.

Trekking Resumes (approx. 70 min)
Head back down towards the basin. As you get used to the terrain, you'll discover new ways to enjoy the trail!

Tea Time & Basin Fun
Once at the basin, dive in and play! We offer thrilling activities, followed by a relaxing tea time to recharge.

Return Trekking (20 min) & Canoeing (40 min)
Paddle back through the calm river for 40 minutes, soaking in the mangrove forest one last time.

Note: If the tour is canceled due to weather, the company may offer alternative activities (Mangrove kayaking or trekking at Geta, Omija, Kura, or Mayarock Falls, or Limestone Caves).

Restrictions

The target age is 6 to 75 years old. However, if you are confident in your physical fitness, we may be able to accommodate you outside of this range. Please feel free to contact us for further consultation.
For safety reasons, the following guests cannot participate:
Pregnant individuals
Those who have consumed alcohol or have a hangover
Those with heart, respiratory, mental, cardiovascular, or cerebrovascular conditions
Those with physical disabilities
Those weighing over 100 kg
Those with other medical conditions, fever, or injuries
Participants with hearing or visual impairments traveling alone (must be accompanied by a helper or interpreter)
From March 2025, this area is designated as a "Taketomi Town Specified Natural Tourism Resource." Both entry fee payment and an entry number are required, but don't worry—our shop will handle all these procedures for you.
[Entry Permit for Restricted Areas]
The tour area is a protected "Specified Natural Tourism Resource." Starting March 1, 2025, an official entry permit is required.
Application: We will apply on your behalf. Please provide the required details upon booking.
Important: If the daily entry limit is reached, the tour will be canceled even after booking.
Fees: A 500 JPY processing fee per person is included in the tour price from March 1, 2025.

What to bring

Towel
Sunscreen
Clothes that can get wet (Quick-drying clothes like rash guards are highly recommended)
Drinks (At least 1 liter is required from March to October)
Sandals or Water shoes
Change of clothes (Only for those returning to Ishigaki Island)

Additional notes

Please note that cancellation fees will apply for cancellations due to personal reasons or changes in the number of participants without prior notice.
No cancellation fee will be charged if you are unable to reach Iriomote Island due to ferry cancellations, or if the tour is canceled due to typhoons or bad weather.
The tour will proceed in rainy weather; however, it may be canceled or modified if safety cannot be ensured.
For safety reasons, wearing a life jacket is mandatory at all times, including during snorkeling.
In case of cancellation due to bad weather, we can offer an alternative itinerary. The owner will select the best available spots for that day, such as mangrove kayaking in a different river or trekking to locations like Geta Falls, Omija Falls, Kura Falls, Mayarock Falls, or limestone caves.
The guide will assist using a translation app.
