What to expect
Experience Iheya Island’s traditional Ami Jike fishing on a Sabani boat. Guided by local fishermen, herd fish in shallow waters and enjoy your fresh catch as sashimi or foil-grilled dishes. Includes free underwater video data.

- Depart for fishing aboard a Sabani boatBoard the traditional wooden Sabani boat and head to the fishing grounds.
- Ami Jike (Drive-In Fishing) ExperienceSet nets in the wari (coral reef channels) and herd the fish in.
- Observe and take part in the fishing.Because the fishing takes place in shallow water, you can observe the movement of the fish from the surface.
- Fish preparation & tastingEnjoy your catch as sashimi or foil-grilled fish (priority given to homestay guests).
- Receive video dataYou’ll receive underwater video footage filmed during the tour at a later date as a gift!
- Disband on site.
