Schedule

  1. Please arrive at the dojo 20 minutes before the start time for preparations.
  2. 1. Wearing Kendo Uniforms
    Change into a T-shirts and a half pants. Then wear Kendogi and Hakama.
  3. 2. Lectures about Kendo
    Lectures on brief history of Kendo, Reiho, Kendo protective armours and the Bamboo sward.
  4. [About Kendo]
    Kendo has its roots in the martial tradition of samurai who honed their swordsmanship skills in combat. Around 400 years ago, Kenjutsu, which focused on developing sword-fighting techniques, evolved into Kendo. Samurai has been recognized for the behaviour of diligence, sincerity, and rigor.
  5. 3. Practice Striking and Basic Footwork
    Learn how to use the Bamboo sward and some Kendo techniques.
  6. 4. Match (Combat Game)
    Using the techniques in a match format.
  7. 5. Photo Shooting
    Taking photographs with Kendo protective armours and Samurai equipments
