Upon arrival in Lhasa, the administrative capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, you will be transferred to your hotel by your local guide. Spend the rest of the day at your hotel and allow yourself some time to acclimate to the high altitude.

Start the tour with a visit to the Potala Palace, the highest ancient palace in the world. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the building is home to articles and artifacts depicting the history, religion, and culture of Tibet.

Stop by the Jokhang Temple, known to be the spiritual center of Tibet and the ultimate destination for Tibetan pilgrims in the city. Find the life-sized statue of Sakyamuni when he was 12 years old, the most treasured object in the temple and the most sacred statue for the Tibetan people.

Then, stroll through the Barkhor Street, Lhasa's symbolic and most popular commercial street surrounding the Jokhang Temple. Find religious articles for sale, and immerse yourself in the ever-present religious atmosphere in the street.

Enjoy a fun-filled day visiting three more famous attractions in Lhasa. First, go to Norbulingka, a palace renowned for its unique representation of a Tibetan palace architecture. It is also home to the biggest man-made garden in Tibet with an area of 360,000 square meters.

Then, enter the Sera Monastery, one of the three famous monasteries in the city located at the foot of Tatipu Hill. Discover the mysterious wall paintings in the halls of the monastery.

The last attraction to visit is the Tibet Museum, the first modern museum in the Tibet Autonomous Region, and discover the extensive collection of artifacts and relics about the rich Tibetan history and culture.

Embark on an excursion tour to Namtso, the largest lake in Tibet and the highest saltwater lake in the world. Today, it is deemed to be one of the most majestic landmarks in Tibet. Catch a marvelous view of Namtso with its turquoise waters surrounded by magnificent snow-capped mountains.
