Spend the rest of the day at your hotel and allow yourself some time to acclimate to the high altitude.

    Potala Palace (1) Start the tour with a visit to the Potala Palace, the highest ancient palace in the world. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the building is home to articles and artifacts depicting the history, religion, and culture of Tibet.
  • Statue of Sakyamuni at Jokhang Temple
    Jokhang Temple Stop by the Jokhang Temple, known to be the spiritual center of Tibet and the ultimate destination for Tibetan pilgrims in the city. Find the life-sized statue of Sakyamuni when he was 12 years old, the most treasured object in the temple and the most sacred statue for the Tibetan people.

    Barkhor Street (2) Then, stroll through the Barkhor Street, Lhasa's symbolic and most popular commercial street surrounding the Jokhang Temple. Find religious articles for sale, and immerse yourself in the ever-present religious atmosphere in the street.

  • Norbulingka
    Norbulingka (2) Enjoy a fun-filled day visiting three more famous attractions in Lhasa. First, go to Norbulingka, a palace renowned for its unique representation of a Tibetan palace architecture. It is also home to the biggest man-made garden in Tibet with an area of 360,000 square meters.
  • Sera Monastery
    Sera Monastery Then, enter the Sera Monastery, one of the three famous monasteries in the city located at the foot of Tatipu Hill. Discover the mysterious wall paintings in the halls of the monastery.
  • Tibet Museum

    • The average sea level in Tibet is over 3,500 meters. Altitude sickness must be taken seriously and guests are advised to be well rested on the first day. Should you feel sick during the tour, please notify the staff immediately.
    • The tour price excludes airfare or train tickets, accommodation, meals and drinks, tips and gratuities, personal expenses, and optional activity costs.
    • Please provide a scanned copy of the following documents at the time of booking in order to apply for the Tibet Travel Permit (Second Visa):

      3. Employment documents
      4. Badges or name tag with photo
      5. Children under 18-year-old and retired citizens may skip the item 3 & 4

    • Snowstorms in Namtso are very common. Please pack warm clothes.

    • It is recommended that you prepare and do appropriate research for your destination before you travel.
    • Should you choose to extend your stay, your transfer service can be changed into your last day in Lhasa free of charge.
    • A travel permit is required to visit the Tibet Autonomous Region. Processing of your Tibet Travel Permit is included in this package but you must provide the required documents. Please check your email regularly after placing your booking.
    • The tour guide will be carrying a sign board with your name on it. Please be ready at least 10 minutes prior to the departure time.
    • A local representative will call you or leave a message at your hotel room at about 09:00 PM one night prior to your tour date to confirm the exact pick-up details.
    • Should there be no messages left for you, please contact the tour operator 24 hours before the service. Your voucher has the necessary contact information listed.
