It was our first time in Kushiro as a couple. While Kyushu was experiencing consecutive days over 35 degrees Celsius, the temperature here was only 22 degrees. Additionally, the river made the temperature feel even cooler, making for a very pleasant tour. We were able to see many wild animals, including cranes, deer, and eagles. Our guide, Hiraiwa, was also very kind and attentive.

It was just me and our guide, Mr. Ichinoto, as we quietly paddled through the Kushiro Wetlands. We encountered many wild animals, including deer, white-tailed eagles, falcons, cormorants, herons, and ducks. In the distance, we heard the calls of deer and cranes, creating an indescribable atmosphere. While listening to Mr. Ichinoto's stories, I enjoyed a leisurely canoe ride (leaving the paddling to him).

The view from the observation deck and walking along the wooden paths in the Kushiro Wetlands are nice, but entering the wetlands by canoe is the best experience. I heard that the winter Kushiro Wetlands are also beautiful, so I would like to participate again. Thank you very much.

During the Obon holiday in August, I decided to travel to Hokkaido with my husband. Since it was my third time in Sapporo, I felt that just visiting the usual tourist spots wouldn't be enough, so I joined this tour.

To put it simply, "it requires quite a bit of physical stamina"! But it was so much fun that I couldn't stop laughing. One piece of advice: you should really wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. It mentioned jeans, but I actually wore jeans and it turned out to be fine. If you and your paddling partner aren't in sync, you'll end up crashing into the bushes multiple times. I even fell on my backside in the canoe! It's better to avoid short sleeves, as they can get caught on branches (it's not too painful, but there are some risky moments for kids).

There was a thrill that photos just can't capture, and I was very satisfied! I will definitely go again! ⭐︎

Thank you for their warm welcoming and change of full set gear (although that gear makes me a bit uncomfortable but we still enjoyed it ..... hahaha :) During the canoe tour, we saw lots of different birds and eagles, even the footprints of deer! Thank you to the English-speaking gentleman for explaining all species and plants for us! It's an amazing experience to escape from noise and busyness to enjoy the peaceful environment with birds singing! We will definitely come back in summer to experience a different time of canoe tour!

I was able to enjoy kayaking with peace of mind on a tour by a professional diving shop. Our family of four split into two kayaks. We leisurely paddled along the river and lake, seeing fish along the way and listening to our guide's stories. I was moved by how such a blissful and relaxing time could exist. The guide took photos at various points, and I was very happy to receive them later for free via AirDrop. I think this is a tour that people of all ages can enjoy, as there were small children participating as well. I have come to love kayaking.

I visited during the Obon period in the third week of August. Unfortunately, due to continuous rain, I had to change my schedule over the phone, but the system was not processing properly, and there was no handover between the staff, resulting in duplicate communications from the administrative staff, which was disappointing.

On the day of the event, there were delays and troubles at the accommodation, and I realized I would arrive 10 minutes late at 9:40 for the 9:30 meeting at Lake Shikotsu. I called to inform them, but I was met with an intimidating response from the female staff member, who insisted that I hurry through the rainy mountain roads with unbelievable remarks. While I acknowledge that the lateness was my fault, I felt extremely uncomfortable with the way I was treated. (What would they do if I had an accident while rushing through the rain?)

I expressed my concerns about the intimidating response at the reception on the day of the event, and a young woman apologized. Although I did not expect it, they offered a discount on the tour fee (they said they would confirm with the representative and get back to me). The representative was present after the activity, but I did not receive any communication from them. There was no greeting either.

I enjoyed the activity, so I do not require any financial compensation, but the staff's poor response tarnished the opportunity to create precious memories with Hokkaido's beautiful nature. I urge the operating company to make improvements so that no one else feels like we did.

8月３週目のお盆時期に伺いました。
あいにくの降雨が続き、電話対応で日程を変更してもらいましたが、システムが処理が出来ていなかったり、担当者で引継ぎがされておりませんで事務担当の方から重複した連絡がありまして残念でした。
また当日、宿泊先で混雑とトラブルが重なり、9：30 支笏湖集合に対し9：40着の10分遅れになってしまうことが道中途中で判明したので連絡を入れたのですが、事務担当の女性から威圧的な対応を取られ、かつ雨天の山あいレンタカー道中を急いで来て下さいと信じられない言動があり、遅刻はこちらに非があるので強いことを言うべきでは無いのですが、対応に非常に不快な思いをしました。（降雨山中を急ぎスリップ事故でも起こしたらどう責任を取るのでしょうか。）

また当日の受付で上記の威圧的な対応に対しこちらの意見を申し、若い女性より謝罪を頂きました。
こちらは望んではいませんでしたが、ツアー代金のディスカウントの話が先方からありました（代表に確認して連絡するとのこと）アクティビティ終了後も代表の方もいらっしゃいましたが、お話も頂けておりません。※挨拶もありません。

アクティビティは楽しんだので金銭などの対応はいりませんが、あまりにもスタッフの対応が悪く、せっかくの北海道の貴重な自然との思い出を作る機会を汚しています。
二度と私達の様な気持ちにならない様にに催行会社の改善を求めます。

I had my mother's 60th birthday celebration with a canoeing experience. Surrounded by the magnificent nature, we were able to see a mother and baby deer, as well as a bald eagle and a white-tailed eagle, along with various animal tracks, which was truly moving. Since it was mid-winter, I was a bit concerned about my mother's physical stamina, but the staff's careful attention and explanations completely alleviated my worries. If I could wish for anything, I would have liked to see more animals. That's just a matter of luck, though... The guide mentioned that if the timing is right, we might even see cranes flying. I plan to visit again in the summer.

Canoeing in Kushiro is famous during the summer, but this time, I signed up for a mid-January winter trip to Kushiro, feeling honestly anxious about whether I could enjoy canoeing in sub-zero temperatures. I chose Hiraiwa's tour because the hotel pickup from the center of Kushiro was very appealing to us, as we do not drive rental cars.

They arrived on time to pick us up from the hotel lobby and were considerate during the transfer, even regarding restroom breaks before the tour. Then, the canoeing experience began. I was thrilled to see a pair of white-tailed eagles and Ezo deer up close. The cold I was worried about was manageable, thanks to the favorable weather and the high-performance dry suit from Montbell that we were provided, allowing us to fully enjoy the scenery without feeling too cold. The river descent lasted about an hour and a half, and it was a very satisfying tour with views of wildlife, trains, and beautiful landscapes. I think the duration was just right.

Afterward, we were treated to warm cocoa, making it a wonderful tour with exceptional service.

Looking back, I think it would have been better to have some cold-weather gear. While the parts covered by the dry suit were quite warm, my feet were only in rubber boots, which got pretty cold. Specifically, warm socks, foot warmers to put inside shoes, a face mask for cold weather like those used for skiing, and adhesive hot packs would be helpful. Also, having a tumbler would have allowed us to enjoy warm drinks while canoeing. For those taking photos with smartphones, gloves that allow for smartphone use would be a good idea.

In any case, we were blessed with good weather, and thanks to Hiraiwa's thoughtful care, it turned out to be a fun day. Thank you very much.

釧路の夏のカヌーは有名ですが、今回は1月中旬の真冬の釧路旅行ということで、氷点下の極寒のカヌーは楽しめるか正直不安に思いながら申し込みました。ヒライワさんのツアーにしたのは、釧路中心部のホテルの送迎付という点が、レンタカーを運転しない私たちには非常に魅力的に感じたからです。
時間通りホテルロビーに迎えに来て下さってから、移動中もツアー前のお手洗いのことなど色々とご配慮頂きました。そしてカヌー体験が始まりました。オジロワシのつがいや、エゾシカを間近に見ることができて感動しました。心配していた寒さは、天候に恵まれたこともありますが、お貸出し頂いたモンベルの高性能ドライスーツのおかげでそこまで感じることなく、思い切り景色を楽しむことができました。1時間半程度の川下りでしたが、野生動物や電車、美しい景色を見ることができて大満足のツアーでした。時間的にも、ちょうどいい長さだったと思います。
終わった後もあたたかいココアをごちそうして頂き、至れり尽くせりの素晴らしいツアーでした。
終わってみてから感じた有った方が良い持ち物としては、やはり防寒対策品です。ドライスーツを着ている部分はかなり暖かくはなっていますが、足元はゴム長を履いているだけなのでかなり冷えます。具体的には、厚手の靴下や靴の中に貼るカイロなどの足元の防寒対策、スキー等につかう防寒のフェイスマスク、貼るホッカイロなどがあると良いと思います。また、タンブラーがあればカヌーの上で暖かい飲み物が飲めたかなと思います。スマホで撮影される方は、スマホがそのまま使える手袋がいいかもしれません。
ともあれ天気にも恵まれ、ヒライワさんの心遣いのおかげで、楽しい1日になりました。ありがとうございました。

Full Day Kayaking Adventure in Furano

Excellent day kayaking!

We booked this tour which was provided by Wokkys and really enjoyed it. Wokkys was very flexible and we were able to book a private tour for just the two of us and only spend as long as we wanted on the "lesson" before setting off down the river. Toshi, our guide and instructor, spoke good English and was extremely nice, as well as knowledgeable. Although we have both kayaked a little before, Toshi showed us some basic strokes and made sure we were comfortable with our kayaks before setting off. This was very helpful as I have never kayaked on a river with rapids before. Wokkys also provided everything we needed - drysuits, gloves, booties, helmet etc. Toshi and his colleague Buchi also took lots of photos of us and sent them later. It was a great day!

Unfortunately, the strong winds made it difficult to head out onto the lake, so I changed my plans and explored the Chitose River instead. The power of nature is unbeatable...

The Chitose River was also beautifully clear and transparent. I enjoyed ducking under the trees, discovering small waterfalls, and was shown points where I could see fish. It was a delightful adventure.

Next time, I would like to visit during a warmer season and try going out onto the lake.

The weather was wonderful, warm, and with little wind, making it very enjoyable!

My 4-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter skillfully used their children's paddles and paddled along!

We started paddling from the Chitose River, so we were able to see fish, and the kids were very satisfied.

Ido, who taught us how to paddle and guided us, was very kind, took many photos, and was great with the kids. Plus, he recommended a delicious pork bowl restaurant! It was really tasty♡

The only thing I found disappointing was that the weather was too nice, and the glare on the lake's surface was strong, so we couldn't see the scenery reflected on the water. Still, since we were in a clear kayak, I could see well through the bottom, even though the reflections and waves made it hard to see outside!

If I have the chance again, I hope to see the scenery as if floating in the sky!

(For reference, I think the kids were fine in long-sleeved, long-pants rash guards. I put a windbreaker over them. Their sleeves and pants got a little wet. The kids felt cold after getting back to shore, so I think it would have been better to bring their shoes and outerwear in waterproof bags.)

千歳川から漕ぎ始めたので、魚も見れて子供達は大満足でした。

漕ぎ方を教えてくれ、案内してくれるイドさんは、とても親切で、たくさん写真も撮ってくれ、子供の扱いも上手でした。
それに、美味しい豚丼のお店も教えてくれました！とっても美味しかったです♡

私が唯一残念だったのは、天気が良すぎて湖面の照り返しが強く、湖面に景色が映る感じではなかったことです。
それでもクリアカヤックだったので、カヤックの外だと光の反射や波でよく見えない湖の中も、股の間からよく見えて楽しめました！

また、機会があれば、空に浮いているかのような景色が見れればと思います！

(参考までに、服装は子供も長袖長ズボンのラッシュガードにして問題なかったと思います。子供にはその上にウィンドブレーカーを着せました。

袖やズボンが少し濡れた程度でした。子供たちは、岸に上がってから寒がったので、靴と羽織り物は防水袋(防水袋)に入れて持って行けばよかったかも、と思います。
