Lighting the burner is noisy and hot, so it's not exactly comfortable, but you can experience a unique feeling of floating twice. The weather forecast predicted unfortunate rain, so I brought a change of clothes since I have young elementary school children. It was the first experience for the whole family to ride horses, and we were nervous, but as we chose cowboy hats, vests, and boots, our excitement grew.

At first, I was worried about whether I could ride for even an hour, but the instructions from the staff were clear and precise, which was very good. As I rode, my anxiety disappeared, and I wanted to keep riding. It was fun to learn about the horses' behaviors and personalities. We found the horses we were riding to be adorable.

The kids are saying they want to ride for a longer time next time. We definitely want to visit again.

天気予報ではあいにくの雨予報で、小学生低学年の子供がいるので、着替えなども持って向かいました。
家族みんな馬に乗るのは初体験でドキドキでしたが、カウボーイハットやベスト、ブーツを選んでいるうちに気持ちが盛り上がっていきました。

We started at 6 AM. The weather was typical for the Kushiro Wetlands, with some clouds and a bit of morning mist. We set off in a larger canoe for four people, along with our guide. The canoe tour lasted about two hours, and we enjoyed the wetlands without encountering any other canoes.

We were fortunate to encounter a herd of Ezo deer twice, and the guide brought the canoe within just a few meters of them. The guide, who has over 20 years of experience, conducted the tour without any other participants, and his extensive knowledge made the experience truly enjoyable.

当日は、雲りで少し朝霧も出ている釧路湿原らしい天候。
4人乗りの大きめのカヌーに我々夫婦とガイドの三名で出発。
約二時間のカヌーツアーでしたが、他のカヌーとは出会わず、我々だけで湿原カヌーツアーを楽しめました。

待望の蝦夷シカの群れにも二度ほど遭遇し、ほんの数メートルの距離までカヌーを寄せてくれました。

We participated in a 2-hour canoe tour in the Kushiro Wetlands. I joined with my mother, who is over 80 years old, and she was very happy. I was a bit worried because some other tours had an age limit of 80, but this one had chairs with backrests and we didn't have to paddle, so we could participate with peace of mind. We also saw a lot of animals, so we were very satisfied!

釧路湿原の2時間のカヌーを2人で参加させて頂きました。80歳を超える母と参加させて頂きましたが、母もとても喜んでいました。他の主催のツアーでは年齢制限が80歳の所があったので、少し心配していましたが、背もたれ付きの椅子でしたり、漕がなくて良かったり、安心して参加させて貰いました。動物もたくさん見られたので、大満足です！

At the beginning of June, I participated in the afternoon course. Since it was a weekday, there were few other people canoeing, allowing for a relaxed experience. Even without the early morning course, I encountered many animals and was very satisfied with canoeing under the clear blue sky. I felt like I was "hogging the breathtaking views!" and kept taking photos. During my first trip to Hokkaido, I was unsure which area to choose, but knowing that I could canoe in Kushiro, I made the perfect choice. The lucky sighting of a fluffy little fox was incredibly cute!

6月頭、お昼からのコースで参加しました。
平日だった事もあり他にカヌーをされている方も少なく、ゆったりと体験する事が出来ました。
早朝コースでなくとも沢山の動物に出会え、快晴の中のカヌーに大満足です。
「絶景を独り占め！」と言う感じでひたすら写真を撮っていました。
初めての北海道旅行でどのエリアにしようかなと悩む中、釧路でカヌーが出来ると知り釧路を選択して大正解。
運よく見る事が出来たコギツネがふわふわでとても可愛かったです！

I signed up for this experience with my daughter for the first time. I thought we would fly right away since the paraglider has a motor propeller. However, it turns out that due to bad conditions such as the weather, wind direction, and strength, we couldn't fly if the winds were not favorable. When it was my daughter's turn, the winds were gentle, and she went up high. That alone made me so happy! When it was my turn, the wind had picked up, changing direction, and I was running in the opposite direction. I managed to get up once, but since the wind was turbulent, I was told to try again after 30 minutes. I thought that was enough, but they provided guidance on changing the paraglider size and running style, and I went up higher and higher! My mouth got dry from the excitement (laughs).

The motor propeller is said to weigh about 50 kg, and it looked very heavy. I think it must be quite a challenge for them to carry it and take us amateurs up, dealing with such heavy gravity and pressure. I am grateful for the opportunity to see this wonderful world. Thank you very much!

娘と初めての体験で申し込みいたしました。パラグライダーが飛ぶのにモーターのプロペラが有るのですぐ飛ぶと思っていました。ところが、天候はもちろん、風向き・強さ・風向きも一方だけでなく混流するという悪条件であると飛べないそうです。娘の時は、穏やかな風で高く上がっていきました。それだけで嬉しかったですね～。私の時は風が強くなってきて、逆方向に風向きになり、走行する方向も逆で、一度上がりましたが上で風向きが混流しているので３０分してからもう一度あがりろう！と言われてました。十分ですと思ったのですが、パラグライダーのサイズ交換したり、走るスタイルを変えたりの指導してくださり、高く、高く上がりました！口がカラカラになりました（笑）
モーターのプロペラは５０Kｇほど有るらしく、とても重そうでした。それを毎回、ヨイショッと担いで私たち素人を前に乗せて、大変な重力と神経使われてると思います。私たちに楽しい世界を見せていただける機会を作ってくださり、感謝します。ありがとうございました。

I visited in early March!
The weather was great, and a breathtaking view spread out before me.
The tent sauna allows for temperature adjustments based on the löyly, so both beginners and advanced sauna enthusiasts can enjoy it!
Instead of a cold bath, Lake Shikotsu had a water temperature of about 2°C, making even a half-body soak last only a few seconds… haha.
Additionally, taking an outdoor bath in such vast nature was an unprecedented experience!
The staff were very kind, and I enjoyed chatting with them!
This time it was too cold to do much snorkeling, but I heard that in summer you can swim with fish, so I would love to visit again.

I was able to make a day trip from Tokyo. It took 40 minutes by rental car from New Chitose Airport. The weather was perfect, and Lake Shikotsu was truly beautiful. The water was very clear, and you could see underwater from the clear kayak. It was lovely to see the water change from emerald to deep blue.

When the mountains are covered in autumn leaves, it has a different kind of beauty, and at night, the starry sky is magnificent, as our guide Ryo told us. On the way back, we stopped at Marukoma Onsen and felt refreshed. I want to come back again!

I was wondering how the start would go since we couldn't begin the reception until the scheduled time. Also, I was quite concerned about the water clarity due to the heavy rain the day before. However, once we started, I forgot all about that and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the pleasant experience!

体験日当日、定刻に到着したものの、ツアーが一向に始まらず。どうやら私たちの前のツアーが遅れていたようで、結局40分遅れでツアーが始まりました。旅行最終日だったのでとても焦りましたし、時間に限りがある旅行者にとって40分のロスはとても大きいです。そもそも私たちの予約を把握されていなかったようで、何度も「本当に予約したのか？」「いつ予約したの？」「予約したコースは？」などと、まるでこちらに非があるかのように聞かれ、開始前から不穏な雰囲気が漂っていました。
いざツアーが始まってからも、前のツアーで疲れた状態のお馬さんをそのまま走らせるのが気の毒でなりませんでした。ツアーそのものも、レクチャーも全くなく（事前にファイルブックを見せられただけでした）、グダグダな中で始まったので、頭の中にずっと疑問符が浮かんでいて、乗馬そのものをあまり楽しめませんでした。私たちは今回で３回目の乗馬だったのでなんとかなりましたが、初めての方だったら、さぞ戸惑うのではないかと思います。
ちなみに、ツアーが遅れて始まったことに対する謝罪はありませんでした（前のツアー参加者が遅れてきたせいだと言っていましたが、そんなこと聞かされるこちらの身になって頂きたいです）。
