I wanted to have a memorable experience in Hokkaido for the first time, so I participated in a tour. On the day of the tour, there was heavy snow, and the weather was such that we almost experienced whiteouts several times on the way to Lake Shikotsu. However, it was a completely private tour, and I was able to enjoy the unique winter scenery of Hokkaido, making it a wonderful experience. The guide was very kind and had an interesting way of speaking, and the Hokkaido gourmet food we were introduced to was all very delicious. Thank you for the wonderful time.

初めての北海道で思い出に残る体験をしたいと思いツアーに参加させて頂きました。
当日は大雪で支笏湖までの道中何度もホワイトアウトしそうな天気でしたが、完全プライベートツアーで真冬の北海道ならではの景色を堪能することができ、素晴らしい体験になりました。
ガイドの方もとても親切で話も面白く、教えて頂いた北海道グルメもどこもとても美味しかったです。

I participated in a 2-hour private tour. The weather was very nice on the day of the tour, and the wind was calm, but since the ground was rough, they provided us with rubber boots. They took various precautions for cold weather, making it very comfortable.

Since it was the off-season, even though it was a Sunday, we didn’t encounter any other tour groups and were able to enjoy the experience in a private setting at our own pace.

I was excited to encounter a sea eagle and many deer, and as the guide mentioned, I felt a sense of being "intruding into the animals' territory," which allowed me to feel one with nature. It was an indescribably moving experience.

Thank you for the photo data from Kushiro as a souvenir, and for taking so many pictures. It became a very enjoyable memory.

当日は天気が非常によく風も穏やかでしたが、足元が悪いとの事で長靴を準備してくださっていました。
防寒対策など様々配慮してくださっていて、とても快適です。
シーズンオフに入っていることもあって、日曜でしたが他社ツアーの方々とも出会うこともなく、貸し切り状態でじっくりゆっくり堪能することができました。

オオワシやたくさんの鹿に出会えて興奮しましたし、ガイドさんがおっしゃる通り、「動物たちの場所へお邪魔している」感覚で自然と一体化したような気持になることができ、表現しがたい感動的な体験でした。

釧路の写真データをお土産にいただき、またたくさん写真も撮ってくださってありがとうございます。
とても楽しい思い出になりました。

Due to the weather, we couldn't go out on the lake and ended up having a canoe experience at the river mouth. The staff were kind and friendly, but it was disappointing that the water was murky and we couldn't see any fish. I would like to participate again in the summer if there’s another opportunity.

It was actually a kayaking experience at the river mouth flowing into the lake. The guide was good, but I wanted to feel the clarity of the lake water once we got out onto the lake.

I participated in the evening. Canoeing down the river while watching the sunset was very refreshing and felt great. I could only hear the sound of the paddle and the insects, and it was just quiet with nature all around, allowing me to experience something extraordinary. I was also thrilled to encounter many animals, including a family of red-crowned cranes and Ezo deer. I would love to participate again when I visit Kushiro.

夕日を見ながら川をカヌーで下るのはとても気持ちよくリフレッシュできました。船を漕ぐ音も虫の音も何も聞こえずただ静かに自然が広がっていて非日常を体験できました。

I have had horseback riding experiences overseas and in Hakodate, but I recently tried horseback riding near Sapporo. On the day of the experience, they kindly provided me with a Western jacket, cowboy hat, and boots for free, and the staff were very friendly, leaving a great impression. The horse I rode was calm and didn't bite or act out, so I felt safe while riding. I believe even those with no horseback riding experience can enjoy it. During the trekking, the horse was smart and followed the lead horse without needing any instructions from me. After the riding experience, I was allowed to give the horse a carrot as a reward, and it didn't mind me petting its head, which made it even more endearing. If you're traveling to Sapporo, I highly recommend trying horseback riding here.

海外や函館で乗馬経験は何度かありましたが、札幌市近郊で乗馬体験が出来るという事で乗馬体験してきました。
当日、ウエスタンジャケットやカウボーイハット、ブーツを無料で貸していただき、スタッフの皆様も大変親切な方で好印象でした。
乗馬したお馬さんも、触られてもおとなしくて噛みついたり暴れたりすることなく安心して乗馬できました。ですので、乗馬経験が全くなくても楽しめると思います。またトレッキング中もこちらが指示を出さなくても、きちんと先導のお馬さんについていくなど賢いお馬さんでした。
乗馬経験が終わった後、ご褒美にニンジンをあげさせてくれましたが、その間頭を撫でても嫌がることなく、余計に可愛さを感じました。
札幌旅行の際は是非こちらで乗馬体験してみてはいかがでしょうか。

In the morning, we visited the salmon run and Lake Shiretoko One and Two, as part of the walking path was under construction. We watched the sorting of salmon caught in the fixed nets at the fishing port and saw the salmon targeted by anglers in the sea just before they swim upstream (they weren't caught, though). I observed the salmon struggling to give their all in the river to leave behind their offspring.

I felt sympathy for the harsh fate of the salmon, but I also respected their determination to fight until the end. Lake Shiretoko Five was incredibly beautiful. It was a time when birds weren't chirping much, and with fewer people around due to weekdays and the pandemic, it was surprisingly quiet, which was very soothing.

In the afternoon, we explored the primeval forest. The pleasant scents of the Abies sachalinensis and Magnolia were calming, and as we walked along the soft, leaf-littered paths of the quiet forest, we occasionally sensed the presence of wildlife and were able to see black woodpeckers, chipmunks, and Ezo deer. I was moved to be able to see the expressions of distant animals through the binoculars that were lent to us.

Not only did we enjoy the forest, but we also saw waterfalls and breathtaking views from cliffs along the way, allowing us to take many great photos. Especially in the afternoon, we visited places we wouldn't have gone to on our own, and the detailed explanations provided made it clear that there was so much more to learn than just walking. As a novice, I might not have even noticed the signs of wildlife and would have thought, "There’s nothing in this forest..."

I felt like I had seen most of Hokkaido's animals at Maruyama Zoo before, but I truly realized how wonderful wildlife is. We even spotted a mother brown bear and her cubs, as well as a white-tailed eagle in the distance, making it a fulfilling day. The path was relatively flat, so it didn't require much physical strength, and it was a bonus that there were only a few of us. I would love to walk the same path in a different season.

遊歩道が一部工事中だったので、午前中は鮭の遡上と知床一湖・二湖でした。漁港の鮭テラスで定置網に引っかかった鮭の仕分けを見て、川を遡上する手前の海で釣り人達に狙われる鮭を見て(釣られてなかったけど)、川で最後の命を振り絞り子孫を残そうとする鮭さん達を見ました。
鮭の過酷な運命に同情してしまいましたが、最後まで戦う姿勢で生き抜く鮭は凄いなと尊敬してしまいました。
知床五湖は凄く綺麗でした。鳥があまり鳴かない時期だそうで人も平日とコロナ禍で少なく、驚く程に静かで凄くそれに癒されました。
午後は原生林でした。良い匂いのするトドマツやホオノキの匂いに癒されつつ静かな森のフカフカの腐葉土の道なき道を歩いていくと、時々生き物の気配がしてクマゲラやシマリス、エゾシカなど見ることが出来ました。双眼鏡を貸して頂いていたので、遠くの動物の表情まで見られて感動でした。
森だけでなく途中で滝を見たり崖からの絶景を見たりもして、良い写真がたくさん撮れました。
特に午後の方は自力ではまず行かない所で、詳しい解説があるからこそただ歩くだけでは全く分からないことが教えてもらえて良かったです。素人だとそもそも動物の気配に気付けず、この森何もいないな…と思って終わりそうです。
以前行った円山動物園で北海道の動物は大体見たような気でいましたが、やはり野生は良いなと実感しました。
途中遠目にヒグマの親子やオジロワシまで見られて盛り沢山の一日でした。
アップダウンがない道でそれほど体力も必要なかったですしたまたまですが少人数だったのも良かったです。
また違う季節にも同じ道を歩いてみたいと思いました。

I participated at the beginning of October. The temperature was around 12 degrees, with light rain coming and going. I initially thought the bad weather would be disappointing, but it was the opposite! The damp, quiet atmosphere felt very much like a wetland and was pleasant. With the cool temperature and light rain, the animals seemed to be quite active; I encountered a herd of about 20 deer, a magnificent stag with impressive antlers, and a bald eagle. The guide was a seasoned individual who was skilled at canoeing and shared very interesting stories. They also provided boots and ponchos, which made for a comfortable experience. I would love to come back in other seasons as well!

10月頭に参加しました。気温12度くらいで小雨が降ったり止んだりの天気。悪天候で残念と思っていましたが、逆でした！しっとり静かな雰囲気が湿地らしくて気持ちよく、涼しくて小雨とかだと、動物たちは活発らしく、20頭くらいの鹿の群れや、立派な角の牡鹿、オジロワシに出会えました。ガイドさんは個人のベテランの方でカヌー操作も上手で、お話もとてもおもしろかったです。長靴やポンチョも貸してくれて快適でした。またほかの季節にも遊びに来たいです！

If you want to see wildlife, early morning seems to be the best time! I went in late September and encountered many Ezo deer. The tour provided all the necessary equipment, so even though it was pouring rain in the first half of the day, it was not a problem at all. Thanks to the weather, I also got to see a white-tailed eagle and a red-crowned crane! Photography was allowed freely. Even in September, it can get quite cold in the mornings and evenings, so please dress warmly! The hand warmer given by the guide was a lifesaver.

I participated in the tour starting at 6 AM. Since it was a weekday, I felt like we had the Kushiro River all to ourselves without encountering other canoes until the end. It was refreshing to paddle through the morning mist. I saw a white-tailed eagle and Hokkaido deer. I'm grateful for the guide's kindness, including the detailed explanations and taking us to the points in time for the train.

6時からのツアーに参加しました。平日でもあったので最後まで他のカヌーに遭遇することもなく、釧路川を貸し切っているようでした。朝もやの中を進むカヌーで爽やかな時を過ごすことができました。オジロワシ、エゾジカを見ました。丁寧な説明、列車が来る時間に合わせてポイントに連れて行っていただくなどガイドさんの親切に感謝です。

We departed at 6:00 AM. Since there are more canoes in the afternoon, the wildlife tends to flee, but being the first ones there, we were able to see wildlife everywhere.

I participated in mid-September, and the views from the five lakes were breathtaking, overlooking Shiretoko Peninsula. I was able to encounter various plants and animals, and I was extremely satisfied! It became the best memory. The guide's explanations about the flora and fauna were easy to understand. Before joining the tour, I had zero knowledge about Shiretoko, but I feel that my understanding deepened throughout the day. It was my first time using binoculars, and the thorough briefing beforehand was very helpful. When I finally saw the wildlife, I was moved by their power! The photos taken by the guide were all beautiful, and I think it's because they know Shiretoko so well. When I visit Shiretoko again, I definitely want to join the same tour!

9月中旬に参加、五つの湖からの絶景、知床岬を望む景色、さまざまな動植物にも出会うことができ、大満足‼︎最高の思い出になりました。
ガイドさんによる動植物の解説は分かりやすく、
ツアーに参加する前は、知床の知識がゼロだったのですが、1日ツアーを通して知床に関する理解が深まったように思います。双眼鏡を初めて使ったのですが、事前にしっかりレクチャーもしてくださり、いざ野生動物を見たときはその迫力に感動しました！
ガイドさんが撮ってくださった写真はどれも綺麗で、知床を知り尽くしているからこそなのかと思います^^ 再び知床を訪れる際は、またぜひ同じツアーに参加したいと思います。

雨の心配もありカッパを着けてスタートしたが、お天気は次第に良くなり快適なカヤック体験となった。支笏湖から流れる千歳川を下り、折り返すコースは穏やかながら、インストラクターの指導もよろしく、大変透明な底に沈む腐食しない木々に驚きつつ、木陰くぐり、木のあいだ通過など楽しいひとときとなった。少し波があって支笏湖に出られなかったのは残念だったが、またの楽しみとしたい。

The weather was nice, and the views were always stunning. I was captivated by Rausu-dake, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the Sakhalin fir, feeling like I wanted to gaze at them forever, as if time wasn't enough. I didn't encounter many animals, but at the very end of the tour, I got to see the natural monument, the Black Woodpecker! Since we walked on paths without trails, I think it's important to wear clothing that covers your skin, as mentioned in the precautions. It became a wonderful memory.

天気が良かったこともあり、常に最高の景色でした。
羅臼岳やオホーツク海、トドマツに目を奪われて、時間が足りないくらいずーっと眺めていたいと感じました。
動物にはあまり会えなかったですが、ツアーの最後の最後に天然記念物のクマゲラに会えました！！
道なき道を歩いたりもするので、注意事項に書いてあった通り肌を出さない服装をしてくることが重要だと思います。

In the morning, we spent three hours at Shiretoko Five Lakes. For lunch, we chose a restaurant from the recommended places around the Utoro roadside station. In the afternoon, we went on a three-hour trekking adventure on a wild animal path. The guide stopped every few minutes to provide explanations, so we were able to walk comfortably without getting out of breath. Although it was a six-hour trek in total, including the time for explanations, I think it's a tour that anyone can enjoy, even if they're not very confident in their physical fitness. We also searched for mushrooms and took photos of deer and squirrels along the way, making it a fulfilling tour. It may be common knowledge, but I think it's a good idea to bring a portable toilet. Since it was early September, it wasn't cold, but I recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants because of the grass. I included photos that don't spoil the experience.

However, it was stated to be two hours, but with the explanation and moving around, we were actually on the kayak for about 40 to 45 minutes, which felt short for the price.

It was a refreshing experience that I would like to do again.

I wanted to enjoy the nature of Shiretoko, but I was scared of the brown bears, so I signed up for a walking tour. This was a great decision. Our guide, Mr. Umebayashi, is a veteran with 17 years of experience on this trail. He taught us about the signs of brown bears feeding, the traces of their hibernation nests, and various information about the animals and plants of Shiretoko that you would never notice just by walking normally. It was very refreshing and interesting to see how the scenery changes when you gain knowledge.

I saw Ezo deer up close twice, as well as a peregrine falcon and a white-tailed eagle. The day flew by in no time.

It was my first time in Shiretoko, and I really liked it. I want to visit again in a different season. It seems like it would be fun to see the scenery during the drift ice season.

知床の自然を堪能したいけど、やはりヒグマが怖いのでウォーキングツアーに申し込みました。
これが大正解
ガイドの梅林さんはこの道17年のベテラン。
普通に歩くだけじゃ絶対に分からないヒグマが餌を食べた跡、冬眠の巣の跡、知床の動物や植物の事、色々教えてもらいました。
知識を得ると歩いたときの見える景色が変わるのがとても新鮮で面白かったです。
動物は、間近でエゾシカを2回見たのを始め、ハヤブサ、ホオジロワシも生で見えました。
ほんとあっという間に1日が終わりました。

初めての知床でしたが、とても気に入りました。
次は違う季節にまた行きたいです。
流氷のシーズンとかまた別の景色が見れて楽しそう

I ended up participating alone at the last minute, but I finally got to experience canoeing. It wasn't a single-person kayak, but I was able to paddle on my own. Since it was an afternoon tour, I had heard that the chances of encountering animals were low, but surprisingly, I got to see an Ezo deer, a white-tailed eagle, and a red-crowned crane. I thought I was pressing the shutter on my camera, but I accidentally recorded a video, capturing the flying crane as a bonus. The guide shared various stories, and it was a very fulfilling experience to connect with nature.

　急遽一人参加になってしまいましたが、念願のカヌー体験をしました。一人乗りのカヤックではなかったですが、自分でも漕ぐことが出来ました。午後からのツアーだったので、動物に出会えるチャンスは少ないとお聞きしていましたが、なんと、エゾシカ、オジロワシ、タンチョウ鶴と出会えることが出来ました。カメラのシャッターを切ったつもりが、ビデオを押してしまい飛んでいる鶴を撮影出来たというおまけ付きでした。ガイドさんが色々お話してくださり、大自然と触れ合うことが出来てとても充実した体験でした。

I wanted to paddle a canoe in the Kushiro Wetlands. I wanted to paddle as much as possible by myself.

At first, that was all I thought about when I joined this tour.

However, what I actually experienced was the tranquility of the surroundings, with the occasional sound of birds, as I slowly paddled the canoe and encountered a pair of Japanese cranes with their chick. There were three of them: the pair and the chick.

Later, I spotted a pair of Steller's sea eagles perched in a tree ahead...

Honestly, encountering wildlife was an unexpected event, and I was continuously surprised.

According to our guide, whether you see animals depends on timing; it’s not just about being early in the morning, and you never know when you might see them.

The guide was very experienced, and they took measures against insects in the shuttle and canoe, allowing us to participate comfortably.

They also provided detailed explanations about the history of the wetlands and the habits of the animals.

As for my initial goal of paddling the canoe, although I was moving the paddle, I ended up taking photos with my smartphone, enjoying the scenery, and listening to the guide's stories, which made for a packed experience.

It would be a waste to only use the wonderful wetland environment for canoeing.

Thanks to arriving early at the meeting point and taking care of things like using the restroom, we were able to start quickly, and it might have been good that there were no other canoes around.

It was a wonderful experience, filled with the amazing environment of the Kushiro Wetlands, the animals, and the thoughtful care of our experienced guide.

できるだけ自分で漕ぎたい。

はじめはそればかり考えてこのツアーに
参加しました。

ところが、実際に参加して
そこで体験したのは
鳥の声が時折聞こえる静寂の中
ゆっくり進むカヌーと
タンチョウヅルの親子との出合いでした。
つがいとひな鳥の3羽でした。

その後、前方の木の上には
天然記念物のオジロワシのつがいが...

正直、動物に会うことは想定外の出来事で
驚きの連続でした。

ガイドさんの話では、
動物に会えるかはタイミングの問題で
朝早ければいいというものでもないし、
いつ会えるかは全くわからないそうです。

ガイドさんは、とてもベテランの方で
送迎車やカヌーにも防虫対策を
していただき、気持ちよく参加出来ました。

湿地の歴史や動物の習性の説明なども
詳しく説明してくださいました。

当初目的のカヌー漕ぎは、
パドルは動かしてはいるものの
スマホでの撮影や景色を観たり、
ガイドさんのお話を聞いたりと
盛りだくさんで
どこかへ行ってしまいました。

折角の素晴らしい湿地の環境を
カヌー漕ぎだけに使うのはもったいない
ですよね。

当日集合場所に、早めに到着しお手洗いなどを
済ませていたおかげで、早くスタート出来て
周りにカヌーがなかったことも
良かったのかもしれません。

素晴らしい釧路湿原の環境と動物達
それにベテランのガイドさんの
お気遣いに感謝の素晴らしい体験でした。

We participated as a family of four. It was our first time kayaking, but the staff provided thorough explanations, allowing us to have a great time. Thank you very much.
During the midsummer season, it was very cool, and we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful nature of Lake Shikotsu. I would like to participate again if the opportunity arises.
*While it is relatively cool during the experience, be careful of sunburn!

家族4人で参加しました。始めてのカヤックでしたが、スタッフ方が丁寧に説明してくれた為、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。有難うございました。
真夏の時期にとても涼しく、透明な支笏湖の大自然を満喫できました。また機会があったら参加したいと思います。
＊体験中は比較的涼しいですが、日焼けに要注意！
