There was a wide range of kinomos and I was satisfied with the kimono. The hair styling was rushed and there was no choice of styles. The location was in an open area and there was no change room or sitting space. The place was busy with several people getting dressed and seemed quite disorganized. We wanted to do the extension for another 1 hour and it was clearly stated on the voucher that "Hourly extensions are available for JPY 1,000 for adults." However, they charged JYP 2,000/hour which was a surprise. For the price that I paid, I was not satisfied with the overall service quality and the miscommunication of the additional fees.

They have many selections for kimonos, so you can customize the color/pattern you want to wear. And if the weather is a bit harsh, you can rent a coat also. Standing by the canal in kimono makes you feel like you're a time traveler. Definitely should try it if you can spare some time!

On the day of my reservation, there was heavy snow, and I requested a change to my reservation over the phone. The kimono instructor was very kind and quickly accommodated my request for a change to the next day. I was excited for my first kimono experience, and I was able to choose from various patterns. After getting a free hair set, I transformed into a beautiful kimono look that matched the winter scenery! Additionally, the instructor guided me by car to a spot where I could take beautiful photos. Moving around in the kimono was also easy. I thoroughly enjoyed the views of Hakodate from the sightseeing spot to the port, and I captured wonderful memories in photos. It was a very satisfying experience.

I dressed my daughter in a kimono for her coming-of-age ceremony. The fitting was done with great taste, and my daughter was very happy. We were even asked by foreign tourists to take photos together... We also enjoyed a luxurious sightseeing experience in Otaru by riding in a rickshaw. Meeting the wonderful people of Otaru made for a delightful trip.

I wanted to enjoy a different kind of date, so I applied for a kimono rental. There were many types of kimonos, and I was quite overwhelmed by the variety of accessories like obi. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the many photo spots in Sapporo! It seems they also offer yukata and bringing your own kimono for dressing, so I would definitely like to request this again next time.

着物の種類も多く、帯締めなどの小物も多く迷ってしまうほとでした。

I traveled all the way to Hakodate from Kansai and Tokyo to enjoy the streets of Taisho.

To fully experience the atmosphere, we talked about wanting to dress up as "haikara-san" and made a reservation in advance through VELTRA at the costume rental gallery, Mak.

As hoped, we changed into haikara-san outfits. They also lent us a sample photo book for reference, but it was really fun to choose our own kimono and hakama. The footwear rental was an additional 500 yen.

The lady who helped with the dressing and hairstyle was a professional, and she quickly dressed us while consulting on a hairstyle that matched the hakama.

The weather on the day of the experience was rainy in the morning, but it cleared up nicely in the afternoon, allowing us to enjoy outdoor photography. After dressing, we had an hour of free time, and we were able to enjoy taking photos inside the building as well as outside, where there were many charming buildings, so we had plenty of time to take photos.

When we returned after the shoot, there were many customers changing, so I think it's best to choose a time when it's less crowded if you want to take your time selecting costumes.

They had a variety of costumes, from authentic kimonos to colorful hakama inspired by the Shinsengumi. If I have the chance to visit Hakodate again, I would love to try wearing a kimono!

I was able to create wonderful memories and had a great time; it was truly wonderful!

せっかくの雰囲気を感じるため、ハイカラさんになりたいねと話しネットで見つけた衣装貸し出しのギャラリーMakさんをVELTRAさんで事前に時間を指定し予約をして行きました。

希望通りハイカラさんに着替えました。合わせのサンプル写真集も貸して下さいましたが、実際に自分達で着物と袴を選ぶことができとても楽しかったです。
履物の代金は+500円で貸していただけました。

着付け、ヘアスタイルを担当してくださいましたお姉さんは着付けのプロということで流石手際がよくあっという間に着付け、ヘアスタイルも相談しつつ袴に合う髪型にして頂きました。

体験当日のお天気は朝から雨でしたが、昼からカラッと晴れ、外での撮影を楽しむことができました。
着付け後一時間の自由時間でした、建物内でも撮影を楽しめましたし、出てすぐにも雰囲気のいい建物などが多かったので時間以内に十分撮影が楽しめました。

撮影後に戻るとたくさんのお客さんが着替えていたので、じっくり衣装を選びたい！方は空いているタイミングがいいと思います。

衣装も本格的なお着物から、新撰組の袴(色とりどり！)がありました、次回また函館に来る機会があったら着物などにも挑戦してみたいです！

素敵な思い出と時間を作ることができました、本当によかったです！

I wanted to visit Otaru while going to Hokkaido for the Sapporo Snow Festival, so I searched for Beltora and found kimono rental, which I jumped at (laughs).
The result was a big success (^o^)/
I think the combination with the Otaru Canal was perfect, and the photos with the canal and snow turned out better than usual (≧◡≦).
Also, I was often approached and stood out—especially for men, it seems to be rare, so I was photographed quite a bit, feeling a bit like a minor celebrity (laughs). I heard that many foreigners rent kimonos, but since I'm Japanese, it was definitely a good experience (≧◡≦).
The staff were friendly and gave us precise advice while we were deciding among the many kimonos, making the dressing process enjoyable!
Kimono, obi, hairstyle, and hair accessories.
Since it was winter, they also lent us coats for free, and both the men's and women's coats were stylish and cute! I felt like I had time-traveled!
I would love to wear it again if I have the chance! Maybe next time I'll go for the three-hour course to take it slow.

小樽運河との相性バッチリで、運河と雪と写真写りはいつもより良かったと勝手に思っています(≧◡≦)
あと、良く話し掛けられるし目立ちますねぇ～特に男性は珍しいのか、写真を撮られる確率が高く、ちょっとした有名人気取りでした(笑)着物レンタルは外人さんが多いとのことでしたが、日本人ですからね、やっぱ良いものでしたよ(≧◡≦)
お店の方も気さくで、たくさんある着物の中で悩んでいる私達に的確なアドバイスをして頂き、楽しく着付けて頂きました！
着物に帯、髪型、髪飾り。
冬なので、コートも無料で貸していただけるのですが、男性用も女性用もカッコイイし可愛い！タイムスリップした気分でした！
機会があればまた着たいです！今度は3時間コースでゆっくりですかねぇ～

I was invited by my friend to try this Kimono dressing experience for the first time ever in my life. It was a wonderful experience and we have had a great time. When we went into the shop from the very cold environment of about -2 degree Celsius, the shop was extremely warm to us and the staff was very nice to gave us welcome greeting as well as a bit of chat which made me feel very comfortable. I was very excited to see all the beautiful Kimono and things in the shop. The setting is wonderful and it was like a local japanese house. We set the hair by ourselves and the staff therefore gave us recommendations acoording to the colour of our head ornament. That was really kind and sweet of her. I have to admit that it was really hard to choose one as many of them are just so beautiful and you can never decide. I really appreciate her patient on me as it did took a bit of time to choose one indeed. I took her recommendations and picked a red Kimono to put on myself while my friend chose a white one with some pink flowers on it. The staff helped us to dress in the Kimono in a long series of step. I don't think I can do all the steps by myself and thanks to this skillful nice staff, we wore the Kimono like a local japanese in the end. This nice staff even allowed us to record and take pictures during the time when she helped us to dress in the Kimono. We both look very pretty and beautiful in the Kimono. We were very happy with our look and tried to go out from the shop. There was a bit of rain when we were going out from the shop to outside in order to take some photos. The sweet staff therefore rented us two pretty umbrellas in the japanese style for us to protect us from the rain as well as taking more beautiful pictures with the pretty Japanese umbrellas. In the end, we had lots of great memories built and recorded, in the glorious white winter with a bit of rain and snow. Thank you very much for offering us the memorable experience to make our trip more perfect.
