- Impressions from the experience
Since it was summer, the river wasn't too rough, but they planned a lot of fun activities that you can't do in spring, which was enjoyable. We participated as a family, and it was great to see the kids jumping in acrobatically one after another, allowing us to witness a side of them that we don't usually see.

- For those who will experience it in the future
The summer river activities are suitable for elementary school students, and the current is relatively gentle, making it recommended for first-timers.

The guides were very entertaining and had great energy, yet they provided thorough explanations about the scenery, allowing us to enjoy both play and learning.

　夏なので川自体は荒々しくはありませんでしたが、その分春にはできない川遊びをたくさん計画してくれていて楽しかったです。
　家族で参加しましたが、参加していた子供達が次々に飛び込みをアクロバティックにやっていて、普段見られない逞しさを感じることができたのも良かったです。
・これから体験される方へ
　夏の川は小学生でも参加できるし、流れも比較的穏やかなので初めての方にはオススメです。

ガイドの方々もとても面白くてノリが良いにも関わらず、景色など説明するところはしっかりしていて、遊びと学び両方楽しめました。

Despite the rain and poor visibility, the guide provided insights into what we could see and feel. I had a great time!

I participated on August 18, 2024.

Although the weather wasn't great, I was able to see the fantastical scenery of Shiretoko Five Lakes. During the trekking, I saw beautiful deer parents and their fawns, baby birds, young trees growing from fallen logs, and various mushrooms. There were clear bear footprints in the mud, which made me feel the presence of bears. The guide's explanations were very easy to understand, and I had a great time. I would like to visit again. Thank you! (o^^o)

知床五湖の幻想的な風景を見ることができました
トレッキングでは綺麗な鹿の親子や鳥の赤ちゃん
倒れた木から育っている木の子供たち、いろいろなキノコなどを見ることができました
ぬかるみに熊の足跡がきれいに残っていて
熊の存在を実感しました
ガイドさんのお話しがとてもわかりやすく
楽しく過ごせました
また訪れたいと思っています

We participated with my second-grade child and my great-grandmother, who is celebrating her 77th birthday, making it a four-generation experience. The river's flow was gentle and shallow, so there was no fear, and we had a great time. The guide was friendly and provided reassurance, even when the steering didn't go perfectly or was a bit delayed. Since it was a half course, the actual time spent kayaking was about an hour, so only the child brought a water bottle, but on a sunny summer day, it might be a good idea for adults to bring one as well. My great-grandmother seemed a bit tired, but the adults found it very enjoyable. The guide also took photos at various points and provided us with the images at the end, which was a nice touch. I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises.

小学2年生と喜寿の曾祖母ら4世代で参加しました。川の流れが穏やかで尚且つ浅いので、怖さもなく、楽しめました。ガイドさんは気さくな方で舵取りが上手くいかなかったり遅れてもちゃんとフォローしてくれるので安心でした。ハーフコースなので実際カヤックに乗ってる時間は小一時間のため、水筒は子供のみ持参しましたが、夏の晴れた日なら、大人も持参してもよいかもしれません。曾祖母は少し疲れたようですが、大人は全然楽でした。所々でガイドさんが写真を撮ってくださり最後に画像をいただけたのも良かったです。また、機会があれば参加したいです。

We participated in the morning big loop course as a family of four. There were about ten people in our group. We considered going on our own, but we are really glad we joined this tour. Above all, our guide was wonderful—gentle, fun, and reliable! They explained various things in the forest in a way that even our elementary school children could understand, and our indoor-oriented child was very interested and listened intently. (They might have seemed unfriendly since they don't show their feelings much, but they were actually having a great time!) We didn't encounter any bears, but we were able to see mandarin ducks, a herd of female deer, and a magnificent male deer with impressive antlers. Before participating, the kids said, "We can't walk for three hours! No way!" but they were surprised to find it was over so soon. Next time, we want to join the full-day course. Thank you very much!

家族4人で午前の大ループコースに参加しました。約10人のグループでした。自分たちだけで回ろうかとも考えていましたが，このツアーに参加して本当によかったです。なにより、物腰柔らかく、楽しく、そして頼れるガイドさんが最高でした！森の中の様々な事柄を小学生の子供にもわかりやすく説明してくださり、インドア派の子供も興味深々に話を聞いていました。（顔に出ないタイプなので無愛想にみえたかもしれません笑　実はとても楽しんでいました！）熊に出会うことはありませんでしたが、おしどりや、メスジカの群れや、立派な角のオスのシカを見ることができました。子供たちも、参加前は、3時間も歩けない!無理!と言っていましたが，え？もう終わり？？と驚いていました。今度は1日コースにも参加したいです。ありがとうございました！！

It was unfortunately cloudy that day, but it might have been better since direct sunlight would have been harsh.

With the 4-kilometer course, you can get a free shuttle to New Chitose Airport. This service is great for tourists. They also take care of your luggage, and you can put your valuables in a waterproof bag for the canoe. I recommend using the restroom beforehand.

The first half of the 4 kilometers goes down a wide and calm river, while the second half is like a jungle course. I thought the 4 kilometers would be easy, but paddling on both sides made it difficult to maintain balance.

There were foreign participants paddling alongside us. The guide was very enjoyable. If you have an iPhone, you can receive photos via AirDrop.

Since my 5-year-old grandchild was with us, we chose the half course, but what mattered most was that they were smiling and having fun the whole time.

５歳の孫も一緒だったのでハーフコースにしましたが、ずっと楽しそうに笑顔でいたのがなによりでした。

I had an upset stomach since the day before, and although I attended the lecture, I had to go to the restroom midway. There was a possibility that I would need to use the restroom during the tour as well, so unfortunately, I had to withdraw. Later, I only walked along the elevated walkway, but the weather was bad, and I couldn't see the Shiretoko mountain range or the sea at all.

前日からお腹の調子が悪く、レクチャーまでは受けたのですが、途中でトイレに行く羽目になりました。ツアーの途中でもトイレに行く必要が生じる可能性があり、残念ながら離脱しました。
後で、高架木道だけ歩きましたが、天気が悪く、知床連山や海は全く見えませんでした。

I participated with my mother at the beginning of August, and I think it was really fun. The day before departure, I received a message from the person in charge, and we discussed and decided on the meeting place and time. They provided transportation to an easy-to-find spot near the bus stop.

There are no changing rooms on site, but you can change at a nearby restroom. When we went rafting, I felt that the river was really beautiful. It took about 2.5 hours in total. During the last 30 minutes, I was able to swim a little.

I think this was a lot of fun, and I would like to participate again.

8月頭ぐらいにお母さんと参加して、すごい楽しかったと思います。
出発前日に担当者から連絡メッセージが来て、集合場所や時間について相談して決まりました。バス停付近のわかりやすい所まで送迎してもらいました。
現場では更衣室がないけど、近所のお手洗いで着替えできます。
ラフティングした時、川がすごくキレイだと感じました。全部で約2.5時間ぐらいかかります。最後の30分間に、ちょっと泳げました。
今回はすごい楽しかったと思います。また参加したいと思います。

It was a starry sky where I could see the Milky Way and shooting stars! The guide, Ayano, provided easy-to-understand explanations of the constellations, and she also shared tips for taking photos with a smartphone. I was very satisfied with the wealth of information that I could only get by participating in the guided tour! Thank you very much.

天の川や流れ星まで見れる満天の星空でした！ガイドの綾野さんの星座の説明も分かりやすく、またスマホでの撮影のコツも教えて頂けるため、ガイドに参加したからこそ分かる情報がたくさんで大満足です！ありがとうございました。

At first, I was anxious, but the Italian captain was full of dad jokes and made it very enjoyable. Since it was early in the morning, the waves were calm, and the breeze felt wonderful. The beauty of the sea doesn't quite come across in photos, but I had a great time. I planned this during my spare time, and it was the most fun I had on my trip to Hokkaido.

始めは不安でしたが、イタリア人の船長さんはオヤジギャグ炸裂でとても楽しく、朝イチでしたので波もおだやかで風がとても気持ちよかったです。
写真ではあまりよさが伝わらないですが、海は美しくよい時を過ごせました。
余った時間で計画しましたが、北海道旅行で一番楽しかったです。

The guide was kind and explained everything in detail, making the 3-hour walk very enjoyable. I was also very satisfied to see cute Ezo squirrels and deer. I definitely want to participate again!

I have done stand-up paddleboarding a few times, but I have never experienced such clear rivers and lakes. I was able to see all the way to the bottom of the Chitose River, including fish and water plants. I think it would have been even more beautiful if the weather had been a bit sunnier, but I was more than satisfied even with the cloudy weather.

SUPは何度かしたことがありますが、こんなに透明な川と湖は体験したことがありません。千歳川の底まで、魚や梅花藻も見ることができました。お天気がもう少し晴れていたらもっときれいだったと思いますが、曇りでも十分に満足できました。

I found it very interesting that they had extensive knowledge about plants and animals and provided various explanations. I was also able to feel the cycle of life in the forest. The guide made it even more enjoyable with humor. It was a two-and-a-half-hour course where we stopped at each lake while receiving explanations along the way. I was able to walk without any difficulty.

道中の解説や、それぞれの湖で立ち止まりつつの2時間半のコース。

The guide was exceptionally likable! It seemed like they adjusted the walking pace while considering the whole group, and I believe everyone was satisfied. The explanations were thorough and easy to understand, making the charm of Shiretoko feel multiplied. Thank you very much.

The tour start time was adjusted slightly, allowing us to experience the serene Kushiro Wetlands. We were able to see Ezo deer bathing, a white-tailed eagle, a black kite, and a heron, all thanks to the quiet atmosphere. Although we couldn't see the red-crowned crane in the wetlands, we were able to spot one on the way back and capture a photo.
I think this is an activity that everyone should experience in the Kushiro Wetlands!

ツアー開始の時間を少しずらして頂けたので、静寂な釧路湿原を体験することができました。エゾシカの水浴び、オジロワシ、トンビ、アオサギ、静かな時間だからこそ観ることができたようです。タンチョウは湿原では見ることはできなかったですが、帰りの道中で見ることができ、写真に収めることができました。　
釧路湿原でぜひ体験したいアクティビティだと思います！

The foreign captain's stories are lively, and the time spent on the boat and the guidance along the way are enjoyable without getting boring. The Blue Cave is beautiful and mysterious. I think it's a perfect activity.

外国人船長の話も軽快で、船に乗る時間や途中の案内も飽きることなく楽しめます。
青の洞窟もきれいで神秘的です。
ちょうど良いアクティビティーと思います。

The veteran guide was really great.
Since there was support, I didn't have any physical issues!
I felt that even though it wasn't raining, some measures were necessary as the clothing was a bit cold.

It was my first time in Shiretoko, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the guide's explanations and support were pleasant, making it a quick and enjoyable experience. In the end, I was lucky enough to see a wild brown bear as well. I would love to go again.

初めての知床で、よくわかりませんでしたが、ガイドの方の説明や、対応が、気持ち良く、あっという間の体験でした。最後には、野生のヒグマも見ることができて、ラッキーでした。また、行きたいと思います。

I was able to purchase at a lower price than the regular rate. There were many activities available, but since there were fewer people, I was able to enjoy them without waiting in line. Additionally, there were more inbound tourists than Japanese visitors.

通常料金よりもお安く購入できました。アクティビティはたくさんありましたが、人が少ないため並ぶこともなく楽しめました。また来ていた方は日本人よりもインバウンド客の方が多かったです。

It was incredibly fun!
We were able to see a family of red-crowned cranes, a white-tailed eagle, and deer.
I was especially moved to see the red-crowned cranes up close.
The guide was also very kind, explaining things and helping us spot the animals.
I would love to do this again if I have the chance.

Fortunately, I didn't encounter any brown bears, and in good weather, while listening to the birds chirping, I was able to learn about the formation of Shiretoko and the dietary habits of brown bears. I had a very enjoyable time. I highly recommend this tour.

幸いヒグマには出会うこと無く、良い天気の中、鳥の囀りを聴きながら、知床の出来方やヒグマの食生活について知ることが出来、大変楽しい時間を過ごせました。

Once we entered the safe zone, we encountered a bear! It was almost about to be canceled, but we were able to complete the tour. Thanks to the guide's careful explanations, we felt at ease throughout the experience.

We visited the Sakura Falls, which the guide introduced to us, and we were able to see the cherry salmon swimming upstream, which was fantastic. On the way back, we had Ezo deer.

I'm glad the Blue Cave looked properly blue. The speed of the motorboat during the transfer was fast, like a roller coaster, and all the passengers were excited.

青の洞窟がちゃんと青く見えて良かったです。移動のモーターボートのスピードが早くジェットコースターのようで、乗客の皆さん盛り上がってました。

I was able to join such a fun and cost-effective tour in Niseko during Golden Week! The staff were all friendly, and it was clear that they were enjoying the tour together, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It's nothing compared to Splash Mountain at a certain dreamland! I want to participate again next year! I'll invite my friends too!

On the day we headed there by car, I was worried that the strong winds would make it difficult to kayak, but the guide was very kind and provided thorough instructions, allowing us to enjoy ourselves with peace of mind. While learning about the beauty of Lake Shikotsu, we were able to take photos in various spots, and we enjoyed it even more afterward! Since it's an activity that you can easily participate in, I highly recommend it to anyone passing by during their travels.

当日車で向かっている最中、風が強く、カヤックに乗れたとしても揺れないか心配でしたが、ガイドさんもとても優しく丁寧に案内してくださり、安心して楽しむことができました。
支笏湖の良さを教えていただきながら、いろんな場面で写真を撮っていただき、終わってからも再度楽しめました！
身軽に参加できるのもあって、旅の最中近くを通る方にはぜひやってみてもらいたいアクティビティです。

I experienced a full loop hike around Shiretoko Goko with a group of ten, including our guide. It had snowed the night before, leaving some snow on the ground, muddy areas, and droplets falling from branches above as we walked slowly. We encountered untouched nature, trees marked by bear claws, trees dug up by bears, areas of skunk cabbage where bears had lain down, and trees intertwined with vines that bears had pulled. Our guide provided a lot of explanations, and the three hours flew by.

The weather in nature can change quickly, and although it wasn't great weather, it was a very good experience. I must say, it was really great that our guide was a veteran.

As for clothing, I felt it was essential to consider the temperature and wear waterproof gear, even if you don't have rain gear. I wore waterproof sports clothing and a full set of rain gear to keep warm.

ガイドさん含めた10人で知床五湖大ループ全周散策を体験しました。前夜に雪が降り、足元には所々に雪が残り、泥濘、上からは木枝から雫が落ちる中、ゆっくりと歩き進み、手付かずの自然と熊の爪痕が残る樹木、熊が掘った樹木、熊が寝そべった跡の水芭蕉地帯、熊が蔓を引っ張り蔓と一体化した樹木等、沢山、ガイドさんからの説明があり、あっという間の3時間でした。
自然の天候は変わりやすく、好天では無かったですが、とても良い体験が出来ました。
おまけに、ガイドさんがベテランの方で本当に良かった。の一言に尽きました。

服装ですが、必ず、気温を考慮し、雨具が無くとも防水上下は必須だと感じました。私はスポーツ用の防水上下に、雨具上下のフルセットで防寒になりました。
