Thank you very much for your help over the two days! This was my second time in Shiretoko, but last time the weather was bad, so I couldn't see Lake Mashu or go hiking in the Shiretoko Five Lakes. Thanks to you considering our requests and planning multiple times, we had a wonderful trip to Shiretoko. The guide maintained a comfortable distance, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Next time, I would like to go see the drift ice!

２日間、大変お世話になりました！
今回は2度目の知床でしたが、前回は天気が悪くて見られなかった摩周湖や知床五湖のハイキングなどに連れて行っていただきました。こちらの要望に答えるため、何度もプランを考えていただいたおかげで、大満喫の知床旅行となりました。
程よい距離感をたもってガイドをしてもらえたので、リラックスして楽しめました。
次回は流氷を見に行きたいと思います！

The staff were very friendly, and I was able to enjoy my time there. Unfortunately, it rained that day, and the temperature was in the single digits. However, by the time we started, the rain had stopped, and we could explore without getting wet! It's a bit disappointing to think that we could have seen even better views if it had been sunny. I had a valuable experience in a natural heritage site that is not easily accessible!

スタッフの皆さんもとても良い感じで、楽しく回ることが出来ました。
この日は生憎の雨で気温も一桁。でも始まる頃には雨も上がり濡れずに散策できました！晴れていたらもっといい景色を見る事が出来たと思うとちょっと残念。
なかなか踏み入れる事ができない自然遺産で貴重な体験をする事が出来ました！

It was a private tour for two, probably because we booked the last boat! The captain's puns were the best. Thank you for an experience that was worth more than the price!

The guide who gave the lecture and the staff at the store were all cheerful and pleasant.
Lake Shikotsu is truly clear, wide, and deep. By the way, there were no fish.
It seems you can bring your smartphone at your own risk.
Kayaking required more physical strength than I expected, and I got quite tired, haha.

The area around Lake Shikotsu has become a charming and beautiful tourist spot, and I enjoyed walking around and eating during the free time.
It seems there are hot springs as well.

レクチャーしてくれたガイドの方も、お店で対応してくれた方も皆さん明るくて感じが良かったです。
支笏湖は本当に透明で広くて深い。ちなみに魚はいませんでした。
スマホは自己責任で持って行っても良いそうです。
カヤックは思ったより体力が必要でなかなか疲れました笑

支笏湖の周りはこぢんまりとした綺麗な観光地になっていて、前後の時間で食べ歩きしたりして楽しかったです。
温泉もあるみたいです。

I participated in the Shiretoko Five Lakes group tour. On the day of the tour, we started at 9:50 AM with a total of 9 people, including one child. However, shortly after departing, we received information about a bear sighting, and we had to turn back without seeing any of the lakes. Thanks to our guide, Ayano, we decided to try again in the afternoon. In the afternoon, two more people joined us, bringing the total to 11 (including one child) as we started again. We visited the Fifth Lake and Fourth Lake, but once again, we received information about a bear sighting and had to turn back. In the end, we attempted the tour twice but were unable to visit all five lakes.

Ayano, our guide, was very knowledgeable, and I had a great time during the tour. However, when there are many people in the group, if you are at the back, it can be difficult to hear Ayano's explanations. Even if you can hear her, the line moves forward when you want to look at something, which was a bit disappointing. When there are children in the group, they tend to move ahead quickly, creating the impression that the group is moving at a fast pace. I think it would be better if the guide could ensure that those at the back also have time to listen and look, or if the group size could be limited to about five people. This way, it would be easier to experience the tour while seeing the actual sights.

知床五湖大グループに参加しました。
当日は9時50分スタート、他のお客さん(子供1名)と合計9名でガイドしていただきましたが、出発して早々に熊の出現情報が入り、湖を1つも見れずに引き返しました。ガイドの綾野さんの提案により午後に再挑戦することに。午後には2人増え、合計11人(子供1名)でスタート。五湖、四湖と回ったところでまたまた熊の出現情報が入り引き返すことに。結局２度挑戦しましたが、五湖すべてを回ることはできませんでした。ガイドの綾野さんは知識が豊富でガイド中はとても楽しく過ごせましたが、対人数が多い場合、後ろの方にいると綾野さんの説明が聞こえません。また説明は聞こえても物を見る時には列は進んでしまっているので、ちょっと残念でした。お子さんがグループにいる場合、どうしても子供は前に行くのでサクサク進んでしまう印象でした。後ろの方にいる方にも説明はもちろん、見る時間も確保できるように進んでもらう、もしくは対人数を5人とかにしていただけると、もっと実物を見ながら聞きやすく体験できるんだろうなと思いました。

This is a tour around the quiet Shiretoko Five Lakes. If you specify your size in advance for gloves and rain gear, they will lend them to you (included in the tour fee). Fortunately, I was the only one on the tour, and the weather was clear, making it a great snowshoeing experience.

静かな知床五湖を回るツアーです。手袋から雨具の上下をあらかじめサイズを指定しておけば貸してくれます。（ツアー料金に入っています）
たまたま、ツアーは1人で天気も晴れて、良いスノーシューツアーでした。

I was able to detoxify myself surrounded by nature. Although it was said that six people might feel cramped, in reality, there was still plenty of space. It would be a waste not to come here after coming all the way to Sapporo. The sauna followed by a cold plunge and outdoor relaxation was the best. I definitely want to use this place again when I come back to Sapporo. I had a really great time.

大自然に囲まれながら己の毒素を排出できました。
6人はスペース的に厳しくなるかもと言われましたが、実際はまだ余裕ある感じでした。
札幌まで来てここにこないのはどう考えても勿体無い。
サウナからの水浴び、外気浴。最高です。
また札幌に来た時に絶対に利用したいと思います。本当に楽しかったです。

A canoe trip on Lake Shikotsu is a must when visiting Hokkaido! I decided to join for my last memory here. Since it was March, I thought I had missed the best season for fresh greenery, but the clear kayak allowed me to see the riverbed well, and I was able to encounter fish and kingfishers. It was thrilling! I was told that usually, the fish would escape and be hard to see, but in winter, their movements are slow, so it was great to see them clearly. The weather was nice, making Lake Shikotsu, the mountains, and the Chitose River beautifully green. I took some photos myself, but the instructor took so many beautiful shots that I didn't even need to. My favorite photos are the posed ones and the underwater videos. The instructor was cheerful and engaging, making for a very fulfilling and enjoyable morning. Thank you so much!

北海道に来て支笏湖カヌーは外せない！と思い、最後の思い出にしようと参加しました。
3月だったので、新緑の時期のベストシーズンを外してしまったなぁと思ったのですが、
クリアカヤックで川底がよく見え、魚やヤマセミにも会うことが出来ました。感激！
いつもなら逃げられてしまって見られないのに、冬は魚の動きがゆっくりなので、しっかり見られて良かったですね。と教えて下さいました。
天気も良かったので支笏湖も山も千歳川もグリーンでとても綺麗でした。
自分でも写真を撮ったのですが、自分で撮らなくて良いくらい綺麗に上手にたくさん撮って下さっていました。ポーズ決めた写真と水中の動画が特にお気に入りです。
色々なお話も楽しく、明るくて終始笑顔のインストラクターさん/スタッフさんだったのでとても充実した楽しい午前中を過ごすことができました。
本当にありがとうございました！

It was my first trip to Shiretoko, so I couldn't miss the ice floe walk. I had heard that the main season had passed, but I decided to go for it and signed up!

When I participated in the ice floe walk with Picchio, miraculously, the ice floes had returned, and I was able to enjoy it! Picchio was very thorough in not only guiding us through the activity but also teaching us about the nature of Shiretoko, which made for great memories!

初の知床旅行でしたので、流氷ウォークは外せませんでした。メインシーズンが過ぎていると聞いてましたが、思い切って申し込みました！

ピッキオさんの流氷ウォークに参加してみると、奇跡的に流氷が戻ってきており、楽しむことができました！
ピッキオさんは、とても丁寧にアクティビティーだけでなく、知床の自然についても教えてくださり、良い思い出になりました！

It was my first time in Shiretoko, and I had no experience with snowshoeing, but the guide's explanations were very thorough and easy to understand. It was a fulfilling experience that went by in no time. The guide's passion for nature and animals was evident, and I learned a lot as well. I would love to participate again in the summer.

初めての知床、スノーシューの経験も無い状態で参加させてもらいましたが、ガイドの方の説明がとても丁寧でわかりやすく、とても充実した、あっという間の時間でした。ガイドの方の自然や動物達に対する熱意が伝わってきて、こちらも沢山学ぶことができました。また夏に参加したいです。

Kayaking on Lake Shikotsu while encountering wildlife was amazing! I was worried about the cold, but the gear included in the tour price (a dry suit with integrated shoes, a knit hat, gloves, and a snood) was very warm, and wearing Heattech, a long-sleeve T-shirt, and sweatpants was sufficient.

Since we didn't rent a car and used public transportation, we arrived early, but it seemed that the nearby restaurants generally didn't open until around 11 AM. When we went to the tour office, even though it was before opening time, they kindly provided us with information, and we ended up finding one restaurant that was open, which was a great help.

Our guides, Yama and Ai, were friendly and didn't overwhelm us with information, providing just the right amount. I feel like there are surprisingly few guides who engage in proper dialogue, but Yama and Ai had a great balance and shared a lot about the national park, making it very enjoyable.

The staff at the tour office were also very welcoming, and they gave us great recommendations for cafes to visit after the tour. I regret that I couldn't properly express my gratitude as the bus to the cafe arrived quickly and we were in a bit of a rush.

I had a wonderful experience and made great memories. Thank you!

支笏湖でカヤックをしながら野生の動物にも出会えて最高でした！
寒さが心配でしたが、ツアー代金に含まれていたウェア（靴と一体型のドライスーツ、ニット帽、手袋、スヌード）がとても温かくて、中はヒートテックと長袖Tシャツにスエットのズボンで十分でした。
私たちはレンタカーをせず公共交通機関で行った為、早くに到着したのですが、周辺の飲食店は基本11時くらいにならないと開かないようでした。困ってツアーオフィスに行くと時間前だったのにも関わらず色々教えてくださり、結果的には一店舗空いているお店があり、大変助かりました。
ガイドの山さん、アイさんはフレンドリーで一方的に話しまくるわけではなく心地よい量の情報をくださいました。
きちんと対話していると感じられるガイドさんって意外と少ない気がするのですが、山さんとアイさんは距離感も良い感じで、国立公園のあれこれも教えてくださったりして、とっても楽しかったです(^^)
ツアーオフィスの皆さんもとってもアットホームでツアーの後に行くと良いよ、と素敵なカフェ情報を教えて頂きました。最後カフェ行きのバスが来てしまいバタバタでしっかりお礼をお伝えできなかったことが悔やまれます。
とても楽しい思い出が出来ました。ありがとうございました！

The pick-up, reception, valuables storage, pre-lecture, and support for putting on and taking off the dry suits were all very smooth. During the tour, a young female guide led the participants, taking various photos and providing lectures about the drifting ice on the ice, making the experience engaging. (Photos were shared online with a password that night.)

The participants included an older, slightly overweight pair of Chinese women (accompanied by a Japanese interpreter), a young couple, and four individuals (men and women in their 30s to 60s, including myself), and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

On the day (February 20), I planned to move to Abashiri and board the Aurora icebreaker, but since there was no drifting ice in Abashiri and the weather was bad, I did not board. (I also boarded the Aurora in early March the previous year, but there was no drifting ice then either, and it was a sightseeing cruise.) Utoro is recommended as it has a longer drifting ice season compared to Abashiri and Monbetsu.

送迎・受付・貴重品の預かり・事前レクチャー・ドライスーツの着脱サポートなどとてもスムーズでした。
ツアー中も若い女性ガイドさんが参加者をリードしてくれ、いろいろ写真を撮ったり、氷上で流氷に関するレクチャーがあったりと飽きない内容でした。(写真は当日夜にパスワード付きのネットで配信)

また、参加者も年配でちょっと太目の中国人女性ペア(日本人の通訳同行)、若いカップル、１人参加の男女4人(30代から60代の私まで)と様々でしたが、皆さん楽しんでいました。

当日(2/20)午後、網走に移動し砕氷船オーロラに乗るつもりでしたが、網走は流氷がなく悪天候の中の遊覧クルーズになったので、乗船しませんでした。(前年の3月頭にもオーロラに乗ったが、その時も流氷はなく遊覧クルーズでした)
ウトロは網走・紋別に比べ流氷のシーズンが長いので、お勧めです。

I'm really glad we decided to go with a local guide company. I personally made a reservation for smelt fishing, but I chose to join the tour instead. It was definitely the right decision. They had everything set up perfectly, from the bait to the fishing spots! Thank you very much.

I would love to make a reservation again next time.

As expected, the water quality is outstanding, the best in Japan. You can see the color of the water change in areas of different depths, and the differences came out beautifully in the photos. The instructor's explanations were easy to understand, and I was able to paddle right away. It was fun. After the experience, my first-grade child was begging, "I want to come again tomorrow!"

さすが水質抜群日本一です。深さの異なるところで水の色が変わるのが分かり、写真にも違いがきれいに映りました。インストラクターの方の説明も分かりやすく、すぐにパドル操作できるようになりました。楽しかったです。体験後、小学１年生の子が「明日も来る！」とねだっていました！

My husband found this tour online, and at first, I wasn't very enthusiastic about it. I have a fear of the ocean, and I couldn't believe I would be getting into freezing cold water. However, once I actually experienced it, all my worries disappeared, and I was able to play joyfully.

I was happy to walk on the vast sea ice and get into the water; it was a wonderful experience. Although I had some concerns due to my age, I am grateful for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you very much.

最初に主人がネットでこのツアーを見つけて初めは余り乗り気ではありません
でした。私は海は苦手だしましてや極寒の海の中に入るなんて信じられません
でした。でも実際に体験すると心配していた事が頭からスッーと消え無邪気に

広大な流氷の上を歩いたり、海の中に入ったり、素晴らしい体験が出来て
嬉しかったです。

I had an experience on March 5th. It was my first time in Hokkaido and my first time ice fishing for wakasagi, so I was both excited and a bit anxious. However, I received a phone call the day before to confirm the pickup location and course, and the service was very attentive. During the transfer, whenever we spotted wildlife, the staff would explain about the animals, which was enjoyable! They also taught me tips for fishing, and the staff would regularly check in, so I was able to ask for advice each time! By the end, I felt like I had improved, haha.

The fresh wakasagi was fluffy when fried as tempura, and eating wakasagi on the ice was the best!

There was a sheet inside the tent where I could place my belongings, so it was possible to bring a DSLR camera.

3月5日に体験させて頂きました。初めての北海道で初めてのワカサギ釣りだったので楽しみな反面、不安もありましたが、前日にお迎えの場所やコースの最終確認の電話を下さり、丁寧な対応をしていただきました。送迎中も、野生動物を見つけると動物の説明も話して頂いて楽しめました！ワカサギ釣りのコツを教えて頂けたり、定期的に（？）スタッフの方が見に来てくれるので、その都度コツを聞いてました！終わる頃には上達してた気がします笑

新鮮なワカサギなので天ぷらもフワフワで、
氷の上で食べるワカサギは最高でした！

テントの中に荷物を置けるシートがあるので一眼レフを持って行く事も可能でした。

It was my first time wearing a dry suit, so I felt a bit awkward until I got used to it, but I was able to fully enjoy the ice floe walk without feeling cold at all. The staff were kind and took a lot of photos for us. The photos they took were linked on the Picchio blog that night, and we could access them with a password provided only to the participants of that day. It was very convenient to be able to download the photos taken with other participants as well. If you're visiting Shiretoko during the ice floe season, I definitely recommend joining this experience.

ドライスーツを着るのが初めてだったので慣れるまで少し動きづらかったのですが、寒さを感じることも無く流氷ウォークを思う存分楽しむことが出来ました。
スタッフさんが親切で写真も沢山撮ってくださいました。撮ってくださった写真は当日の夜にピッキオさんのブログにリンクが貼られ、各回の参加者だけに伝えられたパスワードで開くことが出来るようになっていました。他の参加者さんと一緒に撮った写真もダウンロードすることが出来てとても便利でした。流氷の時期に知床を訪れる方はぜひ参加してみてください。

Seeing the drift ice for the first time, I found it to be different from what I had imagined; it was heavy, deep, not salty, and not flowing, which was quite interesting.

Walking on the drift ice itself was fun, but I felt that the guide's explanations lacked details about nature, the local area, and the annual drift ice phenomenon, making me wonder if they were not from the area.

流氷を初めて見た自分にとって、流氷はイメージしているものとは違って重たいし深いし塩味じゃないし、流れていないしいろいろと面白かったです。

流氷の上を歩くこと自体は面白かったのですが、ガイドさんの説明において、特に自然や地元、毎年の流氷のお話などがなく、地元の方ではないのではと思いました。

I participated in the ice floe and bird watching attraction. I was prepared for the cold that day, but the weather was nice, and the hour flew by. The staff kindly offered to take photos for us, which was very helpful. If I have the chance to come to Rausu again, I would like to try the ice floe watching attraction as well.

流氷とバートウォッチングのアトラクションに参加しました。当日は寒いのは覚悟していましたが、お天気も良くあっという間の1時間でした。スタッフの方も写真を撮りましょうかと声をかけて下さり助かりました。又　羅臼に来る機会があったら、流氷ウォッチングのアトラクションもやってみたいです。

On this day, there was no sight of drifting ice around Rausu Port, but the boat took us all the way to the northern tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula. There, we saw a group of drifting ice and many eagles on top of it. The weather was nice, and we were able to capture a wonderful sunrise and photos of the eagles. The captain was also mindful of photography, adjusting the boat's position considering the drifting ice and the sun's location at sunrise. Thanks to that, even as a beginner, I was able to take amazing photos.

この日は、羅臼港周辺には流氷の姿はなかったのですが、船は、知床半島の北端の方まで足を伸ばしてくれました。そこには、流氷群とその上には、沢山のワシたちが。天気も良く、素晴らしい日の出と、ワシたちを撮影することができました。また、船長も写真撮影のことを意識して、流氷と日の出の太陽の位置を考えて船を動かしてくれました。おかげで初心者の私でも、素晴らしい写真が撮れました。

I was able to see the drift ice washed up on the shore and the frozen icefalls from the water seeping out of the cliffs as I descended from the mountain along the coastline.
Wearing snowshoes really prevents you from sinking into the snow, allowing you to progress easily along the deep snow trails in the mountains!
The guide provided detailed explanations about wildlife traces and ancient ruins, and during breaks, there were hot drinks and snacks served. The guide was very attentive, and their gentle way of speaking made the explanations easy to understand.
With a full three hours of engaging content, I highly recommend this experience!

山から海岸沿いに下り、波打ち際に打ち上げられた流氷や、岩壁からしみ出た水や滝が凍った氷瀑を見ることができました。
スノーシューを履くと本当にズボッと雪に埋まることがなく、雪深い山の道なき道をどんどん進むことができます！
野生動物の痕跡や古代遺跡などの説明、途中休憩ではホットドリンクとお菓子のサービスもあり、とても手厚いガイドさんでした。優しい語り口で説明が分かりやすくてよかったです。
たっぷり3時間で充実の内容、強くオススメします！

Other sightseeing boats varied, but this boat had the target birds staying in the area for a long time, making it the best spot! While other boats changed locations, we could stay put and time our shots perfectly! We didn't see any seals, but we got plenty of great photos! The boat had restrooms, so both women and men can feel at ease! The boat was also large, which added to the sense of security!

他の観光船も色々でしたが、この船の周りにはしっかり目的の鳥が長時間滞在しており場所の確保は最高です！
他の船が場所を色々変えていますが、どっしり同じ場所でしっかり撮影タイミングを図れます！
アザラシは流石に未確認でしたが、大いに写真も沢山ゲット！
船内にはトイレもあり、女性も男性も安心です！
船も大きなもので、安心です！

First, we went to see the white-tailed eagle, and while we could see it with binoculars, looking through the telescope provided by the guide allowed us to see its expressions much more clearly.

Next, we were scheduled to go ice fishing, but since we hadn't seen the drift ice yet, the guide took us to a high point where we could see it. The drift ice that had come ashore on the Shiretoko Peninsula was incredibly beautiful.

Then came our first experience with ice fishing! I was worried about whether we would catch any, but thanks to the staff's thorough explanations, we managed to catch over ten fish. When I was focused on fishing, I didn't feel the cold at all, but as soon as we finished, I started to shiver... Then, hot soup was provided in a thermos, and it felt like I was revived. We could also have plenty of tempura made from the ice fish, and the attentive service from the staff was outstanding.

I would love to participate again if I have the chance. Thank you very much! 😊

まずオジロワシを見に行き双眼鏡でも見えましたがガイドさんが用意してくれた望遠鏡を覗くとより鮮明に表情まで見ることができました。
次はワカサギ釣りの予定でしたがまだ流氷を見ていない私たちを流氷の見える高台まで連れて行ってくださり知床半島に接岸した流氷がとても美しかったです。
そして初体験のワカサギ釣り！釣れるか不安でしたがスタッフの方の丁寧な説明を受けて無事10匹以上釣ることができました。夢中で釣りをしているときは寒さを感じませんでしたが終わった途端ブルブル震え出し…そこへ水筒に入った熱々のスープが提供され生き返った笑感じでした。わかさぎの天ぷらもたくさんおかわりできスタッフの方々の至れり尽くせりのサービスは最高でした。
機会があったらまた参加したいです。

From late January to early March, the drift ice that is born at the Amur River estuary makes its way to Hokkaido, and the drift ice walk is an experience unique to Shiretoko. It's worth staying in Utoro just for this.

In the morning, there was a light flurry of snow, but by the meeting time, it was cloudy. After gathering at the Picchio office and a brief explanation, we changed into dry suits. It's better not to wear too thick layers, as it makes it difficult to put on the suit, but since your toes can get cold, it's advisable to wear thicker socks. There’s a place to store your belongings and a valuables box, so you can basically go hands-free. I brought my waterproof case for my iPhone and GoPro around my neck. The waterproof gloves they provided were touch-compatible, so I had no issues operating my iPhone. In any case, you'll receive plenty of photos later.

After a short move, we arrived at a vast expanse of drift ice. At first, we walked carefully until we got used to it, and then we started breaking the ice and playing in the sea. It can get quite cold during a snowstorm, but on this day, the latter part saw clearer skies out at sea.

アムール河口で生まれた流氷が北海道に接岸する1月下旬から3月の初旬にかけ、知床だけで体験できるのが流氷ウォーク。これだけの為にウトロ泊の価値有り。

朝は少し雪がちらつきましたが集合時間には曇り。一旦ピッキオさん事務所に集まった後、簡単な説明のあとドライスーツに着替えます。
上下ともあまり分厚いとスーツが着にくいのでモコモコにはしない方がいいけど、つま先は冷えてくるので靴下だけは厚めで。
荷物も置けるし貴重品BOXもあるのであとは基本的には手ぶらでgo。私は首から防水ケースのiPhoneとGoProをつっていきました。貸してくれた防水グローブがタッチ可能だったのでiPhone操作も問題なしでした。いずれにせよ写真は後でいっぱいもらえます。

少し移動したら見渡す限りの流氷原。慣れるまでは慎重に歩いてその後は氷割ったり海に使ったり。吹雪くとさすがに寒いらしいですが、この日は後半沖の方は晴れてきました。

The tour started at noon on February 12. The temperature was around -5℃, but once we left the port, the wind chill made it feel much colder, and even for someone like me, a local, it was quite harsh. A few minutes after heading out, we encountered drifting ice. I was thrilled to see the Steller's sea eagle and the white-tailed eagle perched on the ice; their size and presence were truly impressive. As a bird enthusiast, I usually only see these eagles from a distance through binoculars, so being able to see them just a few meters away was a rare experience. It was recommended that for photography, the two-hour course would be best, but I found the one-hour course to be more than sufficient for an amateur like me. I also think this course was better suited for my physical stamina. I highly recommend this tour, but be sure to take proper precautions against the cold.

2月12日の昼からのツアーでした。
気温はマイナス5℃くらいでしたが、港を出てからかなり体感気温が下がってきて、道民である私でも厳しくこたえる寒さでした。
沖へ出て数分で流氷が現れました。
オジロワシ、オオワシをその流氷の上に見て、あまりの大きさと迫力に感激を覚えました。
野鳥好きな私でも、オジロワシ、オオワシは遠くの木に止まっているのを双眼鏡で見るくらいなので、数メートルさきにみることごできた今回はかなり貴重な体験になりました。
写真撮影をするには2時間コースがおすすめとありましたが、素人には1時間コースで充分楽しめました。また体力的にもこのコースで良かったと思います。
このツアーは絶対におすすめです。ただ寒さ対策には充分気をつけなければならないです。

It was almost clear skies with no wind, and I didn't feel cold even in sub-zero temperatures. The drifting ice was close to the shore, and I could see a completely white sea surface as far as the eye could see. Since it wasn't an icebreaker, we navigated around the drifting ice, but when it hit the hull, there was a sound and a shake. The staff's explanations were also intriguing.

ほぼ快晴の中風もなく氷点下の気温でも寒さを感じませんでした。流氷は岸近くまで迫っており見渡す限り真っ白な海面を見ることができました。砕氷船ではないので流氷を避けて進みますが船体に当たると音と共に揺れます。スタッフの解説も興味がわきました。

Before it started, I felt scared, but once it was over, I wished I could have played more. Wearing the dry suit was quite challenging since it was too thick, but I was able to put it on with some help. The people I was with were all really nice, and I had a great time.

はじまる前は怖さがありましたが、終わってみればもっと遊んでいたかったです。ドライスーツを着るのは厚着し過ぎてしまったのでなかなか大変でしたが、手伝っていただいて着れました。ご一緒した方々もいい方ばかりで本当に楽しかったです。

This year, due to the warm winter, there was hardly any snow in the area, which made my 9-year-old child very happy. Since it was around the time of the Lunar New Year, there were many Chinese visitors. I visited in the morning, and the waiting times for all the plans were not very long. The Ice Sculpture Cutting Championship is also being held. Registration starts at 10 AM, so if you're interested, give it a try. Although the prices were on the higher side, it was great that I could purchase tickets at a discount from the VELTRA website.

今年は暖冬の影響で地元では殆ど雪が降らなかったので、9歳の子供がとても喜んでいました。
春節の時期だった事もあり、中国のお客さんが多く来ていました。午前中に伺いましたが、どのプランも並ぶ時間はあまり長くはありませんでした。
氷濤アイス早切りカット選手権も開催されています。10時から受付なので興味のある方は挑戦してみてください。
高めの料金設定でしたが、VELTRAさんのサイトから格安でチケットが購入出来てとても良かったです。

Thanks to the guide's thorough explanations, I had a fun time for three and a half hours. There was blue sky, and although visibility was poor due to clouds, it cleared up quickly, allowing us to experience the rapidly changing mountain weather. The surface of Lake Kussharo reflecting the blue sky was incredibly beautiful. I walked along the ridge with excitement, and for the final summit attack, I crawled my way up. I also appreciate the guide for their polite responses to various questions from the time of booking until the day of the tour. I would like to take part again in the summer.

ガイドさんの丁寧な説明もあって３時間半楽しく過ごせました。青空があって、雲にかかって視界不良　すぐ晴れて　目まぐるしく変わる山の気候も体験できました。青空が写った屈斜路湖湖面は素晴らしく綺麗でした～。尾根沿いをドキドキして歩いて、最後の山頂アタックは這いつくばって登りました。また、申し込みから当日迄色々な質問に対して丁寧な回答頂き、ガイドさんにも感謝しています。今度は夏にお世話になりたいです

The weather was nice, the drift ice was thick, and the staff were excellent. The Snow Festival, Tomamu, Lake Akan, Lake Mashu, Taushubetsu, Onneto, and Meakan all made Hokkaido unforgettable.

天気よく流氷も厚く、スタッフさんも最高でした。雪まつり、トマム、阿寒湖、摩周湖、タウシュベツ、オンネトー、雌阿寒も全ての北海道が吹き飛びました。
