The JR Tower is located near Sapporo Station, and it's easy to find your way to the tower. However, I did get a bit lost trying to find the reception area inside the tower. I asked an employee at a nearby hotel for directions.

Inside the tower, there are restaurants and a decent number of customers. While I think there are many good places to eat in Sapporo, dining here might also be a nice option.

After checking in, I took the elevator to the observation deck, which had some interesting features. There was a map of Sapporo superimposed with Tokyo and New York on the wall. It was a bit hard to understand without an explanation, but I assume it was meant to show the size of Sapporo. I could somewhat grasp the scale, but having a description would have made it better.

そして、実際に登ると、一面に夜景が広がっており、とても綺麗でした。京都に倣った碁盤の目の街並みが見え、圧巻でした。展望台の階にはちょっとしたカフェもありました。
夜景はとても素敵でした。遅くまで営業されてるようですし、ちょっとした隙間時間に訪れてもよいかもしれません。

On the last day of my first trip to Hokkaido, I had a little extra time, so I stopped by before my flight. Perhaps because of the timing, it was very quiet, and I was able to leisurely take a stroll around. The scenery was beautiful, so I went around again, and I could see places I had visited during my trip, which allowed me to reminisce about my journey that wasn't quite over yet. I entered after 3:30 PM, and it was very impressive to see the transition from the daytime cityscape to the night view. You can get a panoramic view of Sapporo, but the best part was seeing Sapporo Tower directly below and the ski resorts in the distance.

There was a shop on the observation floor selling drinks and desserts, where I bought Sapporo beer and ice cream and relaxed in a chair by the window. Enjoying a drink while gazing at the beautiful scenery was truly exceptional. Since I had seen the night view from the Sapporo TV Tower the night before, I didn't have high expectations for the view this time, but the JR Tower was taller and had larger windows, so the scenery was really great. I ended up with wonderful memories, and I definitely want to stop by again next time I'm in Sapporo to enjoy the view while drinking Sapporo beer. I highly recommend it to everyone, so please make sure to visit!

初めての北海道旅行の最終日、時間が少し余ったので帰りの飛行機に乗る前に立ち寄ったのですが時間帯が良かったのかとても空いていてのんびりと一周、景色が良かったのでもう一周し各方面を眺めていると旅行中立ち寄った場所もよく見えたのでまだ終わっていない旅の思い出に浸れました。 15:30過ぎから入りましたが昼の街並みから夜景に変わってゆく様子が見れてとても印象に残りました。札幌を一望出来ますが一番良かったのは真下に札幌タワーや遠くにスキー場などが見える方面でした。 展望階に飲み物やデザートを販売しているお店があり、そこでサッポロビールとアイスを購入し窓際の椅子でゆっくり出来ました。 美しい景色を眺めながらの一杯は本当に格別でした、前日に札幌TV塔で夜景を見た後だったので 夜景の時間ではない分あまり期待はしていなかったのですがJRタワーの方が高く窓も大きいからか景色がとても良く最後に良い思い出が出来ました、次回札幌に来るときにも必ず寄ってサッポロビールを飲みながら景色を楽しみたいと思いました。 皆さんにもオススメ出来ますので是非立ち寄ってみてください。

I took the elevator from Stella Place to the 6th floor and headed to the entrance of the observation deck. 前回昼間に訪れたので今回は夜景を楽しみに行きました。ステラプレイスからエレーベーターで6階まで行きそこから展望室の入口へ。昼は雪が降る寒い日でしたが特に夜景のことは心配していなかったのですが受付けのお姉さんが「さっきまで全然見えなかったんですよ」と教えてくれました。雪が止み好いタイミングだったようです。20時頃行ったのですが平日のせいか以外にも混雑もなくお客さんもまばら。某アジア系のお客さんは相変わらずどこにでもいるようでこちらにもちらほら。他は若いカップルの方達が数組いすに座って寛いで居ました。眺望はというと前回の昼間とは全く異なった景色を楽しめたので両方体験出来良かったです。札幌というとテレビ塔が有名ですがこのタワーからだとライトアップしたテレビ塔をすっかり見下ろす感じで観られます。そして大通りからすすきの方面への真っ直ぐに続く道路も車のライトと相まって光がきれいでした。タワーからは360度見渡せ大倉山のジャンプ台方面がほの白く明るかったのが不思議な明るさで、真下に札幌駅に入線してくる電車が豆粒の様に見えた景色も印象的でした。カフェもあり静かなので実はのんびり過ごせる穴場かなと思いました。

I stopped by during my business trip to Hokkaido in February. I spent an hour at the observation deck until my train departure. It had snowed heavily the night before, but the access was very good since it is directly connected to the station, allowing me to avoid getting my shoes dirty. This was very convenient.

Although it was a Sunday afternoon, the observation deck seemed quite empty. I was able to enjoy a panoramic view of Sapporo city, beautifully sparkling with snow, and relax at the end of my trip. 展望台へのエレベーターでのアクセスの途中でも、宇宙の音を模した音楽を聴いているので楽しかったです。

The night weather was decent, allowing for a good view far into the distance. Indeed, no matter which direction I looked—east, west, south, or north—stunning night views greeted my eyes. I went to the observation platform located at the 38th floor of the JR Tower connected to Sapporo Station as I had time till dinner. Even though it was only twilight, I was fascinated by the beauty of the night view, which was like scattered diamonds across a night sky..
I thought this observation platform was for people to see the night view beautifully with the lights down. I also think I would recommend this place for those who want to spend some time alone as there was a single chair seat by the window. Of course, this is absolutely for couples, friends and family looking for a night view as well.
In October, the night view of Sapporo was recognized to be one of 3 new beautiful night views in Japan, and thanks to the Christmas illumination in December, it is even more beautiful than usual.
The restrooms have large glass windows from which you can see the night view. It is a rare experience.
It's not just a night view, come during the day and see the landscape and city of Sapporo in a huge panaroma.
I recommend visiting the JR Tower Observatory.

JRタワーは、札幌駅に直結しています。午後４時（１２月２０日）に行きましたので、昼間から夕刻に差し掛かり、ネオンが少し点灯し始めの頃合です。行き交う車のテールランプやビルの明かりが何とも美しさを増してゆく様は心に滲みてきます。天気も良く、大倉山ジャンプ競技場や北海道大学、札幌ドームを始め、札幌市を隈無く一望できる素晴らしい展望空間でした。展望室は極めて広く、四方向がそれぞれ２０メートル以上はあるのではないでしょうか。立派なカフェもあり、お茶しながら多くの人が見入っていました。夜遅くまでオープンしているので、カップルさんたちは、よりロマンチックな雰囲気を満喫できることでしょう。スタッフの方々の対応もフレンドリーで好感が持てました。札幌の（新？）名所として既に定着しているのかも知れませんが、電車待ちなど、余裕が３０～４０分程度ある場合には、ぜひ訪問してはいかがでしょうか。私は、次回（できれば夜間）も是非とも訪問するつもりです。

夜景だけでなく昼間の展望室を利用し雄大なパノラマを見て位置関係や札幌の街の様子を知ることができます。
JRタワー展望室はオススメの場所ですよ。

With about an hour to spare before the return flight, we were wondering what to do. Since we couldn't go too far and traveling by bus or train would be unpredictable, we decided that the JR Tower in front of the station would be a good option.

Perhaps because it was a weekday, there were few people, and the entrance had a sophisticated adult atmosphere. As we took the elevator up to the observation deck, it felt like a hotel bar lounge. Before us stretched a vast landscape, with a straight road running through it, and mountains in the distance.

As the sun began to set, the land sparkled like stars. Soft, soothing music called "Planet Scale" (which I learned about for the first time) played in the background, creating a relaxing space.

There’s also a café where you can enjoy coffee and unwind. The café offers light snacks like cakes, and I saw couples and friends chatting by the window with the stunning view, as well as individuals reading alone. It’s truly a perfect spot for relaxation and dates.

Since the JR Tower is located right in front of Sapporo Station, it’s easily accessible, making it a great way to effectively use any spare time. I believe it’s the perfect place to wrap up your schedule while reminiscing about your travel memories.

　帰りの飛行機までの時間、1時間程空いているので何をしようかということになりあまり遠くにも行けないし、バスや電車で移動すると時間が読めないし。それなら駅前JRタワーがいいんじゃないかということで、行ってみることに。
　平日のせいもあるかもしれませんが、人も少なく入り口も洗練された大人の雰囲気。エレベーターで展望室に昇ると、そこはまるでホテルのバーラウンジのよう。目の前には平らな大地が広がり、一直線に続く道筋が走る雄大な光景。遠くには山々がつならなります。
やがて日が落ちるにつれて、大地は星のような輝きを見せるのです。
　バッグには惑星音階という(初めて知りましたが)フィーリングミュージックがながれ、癒しの空間を醸し出しています。　
カフェもあるので、珈琲を飲みながらゆったりと寛ぐこともできます。カフェにはケーキ等のちょっとした軽食もあり、絶景が広がる窓際で恋人や友人どおし会話をいそしんだり又ひとりで読書する人も見られました。まさに大人の癒しスポット、デートスポットにぴったりです。
　JR タワーは札幌の駅前にあるのでアクセスも良く、ちょっと余った時間を有効に使えひじょうに良いです。
　旅の思い出を語りながら、最後のスケジュールを締めくくるのに最高の場所だと思います。

I visited in October. I was able to enjoy the night view of Sapporo, which has become the best in Japan, within the city. Since it came with a cake set, I could relax while watching the night view. The atmosphere is great, so I especially recommend it for couples.

10月に利用しました。日本一になった札幌の夜景を市内で楽しめました。ケーキセット付きなので夜景を見ながらゆっくり出来ました。雰囲気もよいのでカップルには特におすすめです。
