Four guys over 65 years old challenged themselves to their first stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Under the gentle guidance of the instructor, they enjoyed their first SUP experience from the Chitose River to Lake Shikotsu. The water is so clear that you can see the riverbed and lakebed through the SUP. The surface of the lake has few waves, making it perfect for beginners. Although they fell into the lake twice due to losing their balance, it felt great on their heated bodies without any unpleasant smells. However, it seemed they were using muscles they don't usually use, and after two hours, they were completely exhausted. They rented everything except for their swim trunks and had an amazing time.

インストラクターの優しい指導の元、千歳川から支笏湖へ初SUPを楽しみました。水が澄んでいるので川底や湖底がクリアSUPを通して見ることができます。湖面は波も少なく初心者には最適です。バランスを崩して2度も湖に落ちましたが、全く臭くならずほてった体には気持ち良かったです、とは言えいつも使わない筋肉を使う様で、2時間後にはクタクタになりました。海パン以外全てレンタルさせてもらい最高に楽しめました。

I arrived a bit early and had the opportunity to interact with the calm and gentle horses. There were cute sheep and ponies freely walking around the grounds and the paths, which was a sight I don't usually get to see, and it was very soothing. Since my husband had no prior experience with horseback riding, we were advised via email to choose the pasture for safety, and that turned out to be a great decision. (Thank you for the polite and kind emails.)

After not riding for a while, I felt a bit anxious about the slight swaying due to my not-so-great athletic ability. In fact, my husband was the one who occasionally got startled when the horse picked up speed, but he rode quite well. There were a few minor incidents at first, and there were moments when the horse jumped a bit in response to sounds, which made me nervous. However, we didn't fall off, and the time spent with the horses, which you can't experience in a city riding experience, was truly happy. The instructor was very helpful in pointing out any dangers.

We were able to ride together as a couple with the instructor on the spacious grounds, so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about others. The cute and gentle horses make me want to visit again. The only regret I have is that I didn't take many photos from a distance, but the riding time was the best I've ever had, so I am very satisfied! Thank you very much!!

少し早めに到着し、穏やかで優しい馬たちとふれあわせて頂きました。かわいい羊やポニーなどが自由に敷地内や道を歩き回っていて、普段は見られない光景にとても癒されました。乗馬は夫が引き馬体験もなかったので、事前にメールでのやりとりで安全のために牧草地を勧めて頂きましたが、大正解でした。（丁寧で親切なメールをありがとうございました）
久々に乗ると、運動神経がイマイチな私は少しの揺れでも慣れるまで不安がありました。むしろ夫の方が、馬がたまに速足になったり驚いたりしていましたが上手に乗っていました。笑　最初少しハプニングがあったり、物音に驚いた馬が横に少し飛んだりと緊張する場面もありましたが、大きく落馬することもなく、街での乗馬体験ではできない馬との時間はとても幸せな時間でした。危険があればお姉さんが教えてくれ、すごく助かりました。夫婦とインストラクターのお姉さんとの3人で広い敷地を乗馬させて頂けたので、他の人に気を遣うことなくとても楽しめました。かわいくて優しいお馬さんたち、また会いに行きたくなります。写真は遠目からの写真が少なめだったことだけ心残りですが、乗馬の時間が今までで最高の時間だったので大満足です！ありがとうございました！！

You can enjoy it even in the cold and rain. Since the rental cost for cold weather gear is included in the fee, you can participate with peace of mind.

During our experience in October, it was cold, and the day we went was a bit cloudy, but we were still able to enjoy nature enough. The water was clearer and more beautiful than we imagined, with such transparency that we could see fish and the grass and trees submerged in the water. We were torn between various tours, but choosing this experience was definitely a great decision!

10月の体験で寒く、私たちが行った日は少し曇りでしたが、十分自然を楽しむことはできました。水は想像以上に透き通っていてキレイで、お魚や水の中に沈んでいる草や木も目視でみれちゃうくらいの透明度でした。いろんなツアーと迷いましたが、この体験にしてとっても良かったです！

The weather was a bit uncertain, but Lake Shikotsu was crystal clear. The staff were friendly, and I had a great time!

天気が微妙でしたが、支笏湖は透き通っていました。スタッフの皆さんがフレンドリーでとっても楽しかったです！

I had an absolutely wonderful time. First, we each took turns riding and moved inside the enclosure while holding the reins. There, we received simple instructions on how to operate, and we rode a few laps inside the enclosure. The teaching was thorough and easy to understand, and I gradually got the hang of it despite being inexperienced.

Then, we all went on a tour around the large grounds, visiting various places. Along the way, the staff took photos and videos, making it an incredibly enjoyable experience. There were moments when we ran or made big movements, which added a thrilling element, but I had so much fun riding that I wanted to do it again and wished I could ride for a longer time!

めちゃくちゃ楽しかったです。
まずは1人ずつ乗らせてもらって手綱を持って柵の中まで移動します。そこで簡単に操作を教わり、柵の中を数周しました。
教え方が丁寧でわかりやすく、慣れない中少しずつ出来てきました。
そうするとみんなで大きな敷地を周遊するようにいろんなところへ行きました。
道中はスタッフの方が写真や動画を撮ってくださり、めちゃくちゃいい体験になりました。
時折走ったり、大きく動くこともありスリリングなこともありましたが、楽しく乗馬出来て何度もやりたいと思いましたし、もっと長い時間乗っていたいなと思える体験でした！

It was my first time kayaking, but they kindly taught me. The weather was nice, and the autumn leaves were at their peak, which was beautiful. The guide's stories were really fun. I was surprised that they took 120 photos while guiding us! I would love to have them as my guide again when I come back to Hokkaido!

カヤックは初めてでしたが親切に教えて頂けました。天気も良くて紅葉も見頃で綺麗でした。ガイドの方のお話がめっちゃ楽しかったです。ガイドしながら写真も１２０枚も撮られててビックリしました。また北海道に来たらガイドして頂きたいです！！

The small group size allowed for detailed explanations, and they took a lot of time for photos at the photo spots.

Since the canoeing session lasted for 2 hours, including the time until dispersal, we were actually on the lake for less than an hour. I felt it was a bit lacking for the price. However, I think it's a good option for those who want to enjoy a long day and have a quick canoeing experience.

I participated in the session that started at 9 AM, and the gentle sunlight made for a pleasant morning activity.

As shown in the photos, it looks quite beautiful when the weather is nice. It became a great memory.

少人数制で丁寧な説明と、フォトスポットでの撮影をかなり細かくしてくださいました。

2時間でカヌーの漕ぎ方〜解散 だったので実際には湖の上に1時間もいませんでした。
値段の割にはちょっと物足りないと感じました。
一日を長く楽しみたい人にはサクッとカヌーができるのでおすすめかと思います。
9時スタートの会に参加しましたが、陽の光が優しく気持ちの良い朝活になりました。

写真の通り、天気が良いとかなり綺麗に見えます。いい思い出になりました。

I had assumed that canoes are prone to tipping over, but the guide told me, "Capsizing almost never happens; if it does, it's intentional." This made me feel very reassured about boarding. There was a brief rain shower, and the sun shone brightly at times, allowing us to enjoy the weather. Once we paddled into the shade, it became a truly wonderful experience. The guide was attentive, had a great sense of humor, and shared a lot of knowledge, which made it enjoyable. They also took photos and sent them to us via AirDrop after we landed, so there was no risk of dropping our belongings in the water (smartphones, car keys, wallets, etc. can be stored in a locked locker).

カヌーは勝手に転覆しやすいものだと決めつけていたのですがガイドさんから『転覆はほぼ起きない、もし転覆したとするならそれはワザとですよ』と言われ、とても安心して乗船しました、一瞬通り雨があったりとても陽がさしたり天候も楽しめて木陰に入ってからのオールを漕ぐととても素敵な体験ができます。ガイドさんは丁寧で話も面白いし知識もたくさん話してくれるので、楽しめました。写真も撮影してくれて上陸してからエアドロップで送信してくれるので落水させる危険がなくて安心です（スマホ・車の鍵・財布などは鍵付きロッカーに預けられます）

The Hell Valley at night was enchanting. Additionally, the guide's explanations were interesting and I learned a lot! I think it would have been even more enjoyable if I had visited during the day before joining the night tour.

夜の地獄谷は幻想的でした。
また、ガイドの方の説明も面白く色々勉強になりました！
昼に一度行ってから、夜のナイトツアーに参加すれば更に楽しめたかなと思いました。

The nature guide was very friendly, and I had a great time. I learned a lot of things that I wouldn't have noticed without the guide's insights. The other participants were also lively, making for an interesting and exciting hour.

ネイチャーガイドさんがとっても親しみやすい方で、凄く楽しめました。
ガイドさんから伺わないと気付けなかったことを沢山おしえていただきました。
一緒に参加された方々もノリが良くて、面白くワクワクした1時間を過ごせました。

I had my first stand-up paddleboarding experience!! The instructor was very kind, cool, and a wonderful person! He taught me how to ride the paddleboard carefully, and I was able to stand on the board right away! I participated as a couple, and we made some really great memories! I want to join again when I go to Hokkaido!

The male guide's commentary was interesting, and I was glad to see a different Hell Valley than during the day. Unfortunately, the starry sky was not visible.

The guide's cheerful greeting, starting with the mechanical doll of Enma, followed by easy-to-understand and enjoyable explanations as we explored Hell Valley and the power spot... We had kids with us, but they also had a great time! The starry sky was incredibly beautiful, and I'm glad I was able to participate.

子連れでしたが子供達も楽しんでました！

The early morning kayak experience offered stunning views. The duration was shorter than I expected, and it ended in no time. During peak times like the Obon holiday, the later sessions after 10 AM can get quite crowded with people doing SUP and other activities. Additionally, there’s nothing to block the sun on the lake, and it can be bright and hot in the summer, so I recommend the early morning kayak for enjoying the beautiful scenery. Also, the photos taken were all wonderful and made for great memories.

早朝カヤック、素晴らしい絶景でした。
体験時間は思ったより短く、あっという間に終わってしまいました。
お盆期間などは10時以降の回かなり混み合い、SUPなどで人がいっぱいになります。また、湖上は遮るものがなく、夏場は日差しがまぶしく暑いので、絶景を楽しむなら早朝のカヤックがおすすめです。
また、撮っていただいた写真がどれも素敵で、よい思い出になりました。

The night walk seemed to be freely accessible (the sidewalks were illuminated), but since I was listening to the guide's explanations, it was educational, and I was able to see the highlights without missing anything. It felt a bit pricey, but I think it was worth participating.

夜間ウォークは自由に出来たようだった(歩道がライトアップされていた)が、ガイドの方の説明を聞きながらだったので勉強になったし、見所を逃さずしっかりと見ることが出来た。
若干割高な気もしたが参加して良かったと思った。

My 6-year-old grandson hid in the corner of the boat when the waves came, but he was happy. We also had fun playing in the shallow water. We were able to slowly enjoy nature with the gentle current. I think it was great that we experienced a little thrill with the waves splashing.

6歳の孫は波が来るとボートの隅に隠れてしまいましたが、喜んでいました。
浅瀬で水遊びも出来て楽しかったです。
緩やかな流れでゆっくり自然を満喫出来ました。少々の波があってザバーンとスリルも体験出来たので良かったと思います。

On the day of the event, due to the wind, there were large waves at Lake Shikotsu, so we kayaked on the Chitose River instead, which was also very beautiful and satisfying.
There were many participants, but the check-in process was smooth, which was great.
The instructor was also very attentive, engaging with all the participants appropriately, and he sent us photos at the end via AirDrop.

当日は風の影響で支笏湖は大きな波が立っていたため、千歳川でのカヤックでしたが、千歳川もすごく綺麗で満足です。
参加人数は多かったですが受付もスムーズでよかったです。
インストラクターのお兄さんも、参加者全員に程よく声掛けをしてくださり、写真も最後にエアドロで送ってくれました。

At that time, I didn't go to Lake Shikotsu because the wind was strong, but I experienced canoeing on the river. The river was very beautiful, and paddling on the water was a fun summer activity. On the day, we had a canoe experience with several groups led by one instructor, but since I was in a young group, the pace was fast. Instead of enjoying my first canoeing experience, there were several moments where I was desperately paddling to keep up. I know it's partly my lack of stamina, but I would prefer if we could go at a more moderate pace instead of matching the faster ones. Alternatively, if young people could be grouped together, I think it would have made for the best summer memory.

当時は風邪が強く支笏湖には行きませんでしたけど、川の方でカヌーを体験しました。
川はとても綺麗で、水の上をカヌーで進むのは夏のアクティビティでは楽しかったです。
当日はインストラクター1人に何組かでカヌー体験をしたんですが、若いグループに入ったので進むペースが早く、はじめてのカヌーを楽しむというより、置いていかれないように必死に漕ぐ場面が何度かありました。
体力がない私も悪いのですが、ペースが早い人に合わせるのではなくて、中間くらいのペースでお願いしたいです。
それか、若い人は同じグループにするかをして下されば、夏の最高の思い出になったと思います。

It was a fun experience while feeling the beauty of Lake Shikotsu. Thank you, instructor Joe! I didn't have much confidence in my physical strength, but you guided me well, and I had a great time.

The young man was very enthusiastic and took a lot of photos for us. It was a great experience; the lake is beautiful, and the activities were very enjoyable. I really recommend it to everyone. Having some activities during the trip is really fun! Highly recommended!

We visited during the day with our family of four (two brothers aged 10 and 6) before watching the night game at Escon.

First, we went out to Lake Shikotsu for a commemorative photo with the magnificent scenery as a backdrop. However, there were some waves, so we later enjoyed ourselves on the Chitose River.

The beautiful emerald green Chitose River had a gentle current, and the kids were thrilled to experience the fun of steering their own boats! As we had plans for the evening, it was also a relief for us parents not to get too worn out. (On the Chitose River, you can also enjoy peering into the clear bottom.)

The soft serve ice cream from Iwase Farm, recommended by our guide, and the cheese potato mochi we had while looking at the lake were exceptional and very soothing! (I was glad we didn’t eat at the airport!)

We also received videos of fish swimming underwater, and they provided a complete set of rain gear, boots, and life jackets for the kids free of charge. It was truly attentive service. I felt that we should have taken more time to relax at Lake Shikotsu; I highly recommend it!

エスコンでナイター観戦日の昼間に家族4名(10歳、6歳の兄弟)で伺いました。

始めに支笏湖に出て雄大な景色をバックに記念撮影、ただやはり波があり、その後は千歳川で楽しみました。

綺麗なエメラルドグリーンの千歳川は流れが穏やかで、子ども達は自力で操縦する楽しさを体験できとても盛り上がっていました！夜予定があったので親としても腕がバリバリにならずに済んだのも助かりました。(千歳川だと透明な底を覗き込むのも満喫できます)

湖を見ながら食べた、ガイドのお兄さんオススメの岩瀬牧場のソフトクリームと、チーズいももちも格別で癒されました！(空港で食べなくて良かったと思ったほど笑)

水中を泳いでいる魚の動画も頂いたり、子供用の上下合羽と長靴、ライフジャケットも一式無料で貸して頂けたり、至れり尽くせりです。もっと時間をとって良かったなと感じた程、支笏湖のんびり出来てオススメです！

The local guide provided a wealth of information under the starry sky, explaining how Noboribetsu Hell Valley embraces its natural state and how humans have adapted their viewing methods accordingly. I was able to see many points that I would have overlooked if I had gone on my own, making it a very good tour.

地元のガイドさんが満天の星空の元、登別地獄谷は有りのままの自然の状態を受け入れ、それに応じて人間が見学方法を変えているなど、色々詳しく教えてくれたので、個人で行ったら見過ごしてしまうようなポイントをいっぱい見ることが出来、とても良いツアーでした

First, I watched as they inflated the balloon right in front of me, and I was surprised by its size! From there, my excitement was through the roof. Once we got on and gently floated up, the feeling of weightlessness was indescribable! Although it was a short time, it was a very satisfying experience. That morning, it seemed the wind was strong, and they couldn't fly, so I felt lucky that everything went smoothly and we were able to take off without any issues.

まず、目の前でバルーンを膨らませて準備していくのを見ていたのですが、大きくてビックリ！そこから期待感満載でした。
いざ乗って、ふわりと浮き上がっていく浮遊感は何とも言えません！短い時間でしたが、とても満足な体験でした。
同日の朝は風が強くて飛べなかったようなので、準備も順調、すんなり飛べてラッキーでした。

The scenery is amazing! The clear blue of Lake Shikotsu is truly beautiful. The bottom of the kayak is transparent, so I wanted to take my time looking at the lake bed, but there was so much moving around in the kayak that I didn't have much time to relax and enjoy it, which was a bit disappointing.

景色は最高！支笏湖のクリアブルーが本当に美しいです。カヤックの底が透明なので、もっとゆっくり湖の底を見たかったのですが、カヤックでの移動が多くてあまりのんびり見ている時間が無く、慌ただしいのが残念でした。

I had a great time. It was my first experience with SAP, and I was worried about whether I could stand on the board, but the staff kindly taught me, and I was able to stand, which made me very satisfied. I was also grateful for all the photos they took.

楽しい時間を過ごせました。SAPは初めてでボードに立てることができるのか心配でしたが、スタッフの方が親切に教えていただき何とか立つ事ができ満足です。写真もたくさん撮っていただきありがたかったです。

I visited Hokkaido with the intention of experiencing something beyond just sightseeing, so I participated alone. The instructor was very engaging and made the experience enjoyable, allowing me to bond with the other participants. I thoroughly enjoyed the crystal-clear waters and the magnificent nature, creating unforgettable memories.

せっかくの北海道。観光だけでなく、何か体験したいと思い立ち、1人で参加しました。インストラクターの先生がとても楽しく盛り上げてくださって、一緒に参加した方々とも仲良く体験できました。どこまでも透明な水と雄大な自然を満喫し、忘れられない思い出になりました。

Since there was wind and waves at Lake Shikotsu, we wrapped up early and enjoyed kayaking on the Chitose River under the Yamasen Bridge. The autumn foliage in the mountains was beautiful during this season, and kayaking on the Chitose River was very relaxing. It ended in no time, so I wish we had about 30 more minutes.

支笏湖は風も有り波立っていたので早々に切り上げ、山線鉄橋の下をくぐり千歳川でカヤックを楽しみました。この時期、山の紅葉が綺麗で千歳川のカヤックは癒されました。あっという間に終了してしまったので、あとプラス30分くらいは欲しかったです。

When I arrived at the location on the map, it was a prefab facility that I wouldn't recommend at all. The elderly man who greeted me with a cigarette in his mouth seemed to be the owner.

His first words were, "I wonder why everyone comes to ride such an uncomfortable vehicle." Wow, that's pretty harsh!

Well, there was no sense of safety regarding horseback riding either, and when I mentioned that I had been riding since I was eight, I got a nonsensical response that didn't lead to any conversation.

I highly recommend it for those who are looking for a hard-boiled experience from the Showa era!

マップの場所に到着すると、およそベルトラおすすめとは思えないプレハブ施設。出迎えてくれた咥えタバコの老人がどうやらオーナー。

まず第一声が、こんな乗りにくい乗り物に何でみんな乗りに来るんだろうね、と聞かれました。おー、なかなかハード！

まぁ乗馬に関しても安全性のかけらも無いし、俺は8歳の頃から乗ってたから大丈夫と、わけのわからない返答が来て話にはなりません。

昭和のハードボイルドな経験を望んでいる人にはとてもおすすめです！
