They changed the meeting place at Otaru Canal, allowing us to have some extra time for sightseeing at one location. Thanks to that, we were also able to see Otaru Art Village. The tasting of three types each of red and white wine at Yoichi Winery was great. We arrived at Jozankei while it was still bright and were able to enjoy a soak at Yunohana Onsen.
小型バスで、一カ所の観光時間にゆとりをもたせながら、小樽運河では集合場所を変更してくださいました。
おかげで小樽芸術村も見ることができました。
余市ワイナリーでは赤白ワイン3種ずつの試飲が良かった。
定山渓にも明るい内に到着し、湯ノ花温泉に入れました。

I participated alone. I'm not sure if it's always like this, but I had the bus seat to myself, and having lunch alone didn't feel awkward at all; it was really enjoyable! Hokkaido is a place where you can't go far without a car, but thanks to this, I had a great time.

I searched for a day trip plan from Sapporo to Asahiyama Zoo without a rental car, and I chose this one. Unlike other plans, this one focuses solely on the zoo, allowing us to enjoy it at a leisurely pace, and I am very satisfied. On October 25th, I participated in the "Sapporo Departure Shikotsu Lake and Toya Lake Round Trip Bus Tour with Usuzan Ropeway & Lunch." The day before had been filled with cold rain, but on the day of the tour, the weather changed completely to a clear blue sky. It was a whirlwind day visiting Shikotsu Lake, Toya Lake, Showa Shinzan, Usuzan, and the Silo Observation Deck.
Above all, the view of Ezo Fuji (Yotei Mountain) from Lake Toya was breathtaking, with not a single cloud in the sky and snow on the summit. It truly felt like a sight I could admire for hours. I'm considering joining the tour again in November...
10月25日に「札幌発支笏湖・洞爺湖周遊バスツアー 有珠山ロープウェイ＆昼食付」に参加しました。
前日は一日冷たい雨でしたが、ツアー当日は一転し抜けるような青空の中、支笏湖⇒洞爺湖⇒昭和新山⇒有珠山⇒サイロ展望台とあっという間の一日でした。
何よりも洞爺湖からの蝦夷富士（羊蹄山）は雲一つ無く山頂には冠雪もありました。
本当に何時間でも見てられるような存在感を感じました。
11月にも再度ツアー参加を考えています。。。

The meeting point at the bus terminal entrance is difficult to understand on the map. They are taking infection control measures by checking temperatures at the meeting point and ensuring alcohol disinfection every time we board the bus. The audio guidance through earphones inside the bus is easy to hear.
Main sightseeing spots:
☆ Lake Shikotsu (60 minutes)····· If you take the glass boat at the designated time, there’s hardly any time left. You need to take a few photos, use the restroom, and dash back to the bus to make it on time; I wish we had at least 20 more minutes here. Unfortunately, the lake's transparency was poor, and I couldn't see the beautiful Lake Shikotsu Blue.
☆ Lake Toya (85 minutes)····· First, everyone has lunch at the hotel. There are many dishes, but they are quite ordinary—just decent enough not to be bad. It’s a rather desolate tourist spot; after taking photos of Lake Toya, there’s absolutely nothing else to do or see, and we ended up with a lot of free time. We just sat in the lobby waiting. I understand that the crew needs to have their break, but 85 minutes here is unnecessary. I would prefer to allocate that time to Lake Shikotsu instead. The crew also knows there’s nothing to see here, so the complete lack of explanation about how to spend our time here is the best evidence of that.
Mount Usu····· The ropeway will stop in bad weather, and in that case, we will visit the bear ranch, but if we can’t ride the ropeway here, that would be the worst. The view from the summit was wonderful.
Others····· This is just a restroom break location, so I don’t have any particular impressions. It was just okay, a bit rushed.
The pricing, including lunch at the hotel, is not bad, but the time allocation needs to be reconsidered. Overall, I didn’t feel it was an amazing tour. If the weather is bad, I would feel quite disappointed. Honestly, I would have preferred to join a different, slightly cheaper tour that also visits similar areas and operates on weekdays.
集合場所のバスターミナルの入口が地図で分かりにくい。集合場所での検温、バス乗車の都度アルコール消毒の徹底で一応感染対策はしている。車内でのイヤフォンによる音声案内は聞き取りやすい。
メインの観光場所
☆支笏湖（60分）·····指定時間のグラスボートに乗るとほぼ残り時間がありません。写真数枚撮ってトイレに行ってダッシュでバスに戻らないと間に合わない、ここはあと20分は時間が欲しい。
あいにく湖の透明度が悪く、支笏湖ブルーの湖面は見られなかった。
☆洞爺湖（85分）·····まず全員でホテル内で昼食。品数は多いがごく普通、不味くは無い程度。寂れた観光地、洞爺湖の写真を撮った後、他に何もする事も観る所も全くなく時間時間をかなり持て余した。ロビーでボーと座って待つだけ。乗務員の休憩時間を確保しなくてはいけないのは分かりますが、ここは85分も不要。それなら支笏湖に時間を回して欲しい。乗務員も何も見る所がない事は分かっているので、ここでの過ごした方に関しての説明が全くなかったのが何よりの証拠。
有珠山·····天候不良時はロープウェイ停止になりますが、その場合、クマ牧場の観光になりますが、ここでロープウェイに乗れなかったら、最悪ですね。
山頂から見る景色は素晴らしかったです。
他·····トイレ休憩ついでの場所なので、特に感想は無いです。まあまあ慌てる。
ホテルでの昼食を含めての金額設定は悪くはないですが、時間配分は再考の必要有り。総合して、凄く良いツアーでした‼とは思わなかった。もし天候不良の場合はかなり損した気分になりそう。
本当は同じ様な地域を回るもう少し安価の別ツアーが平日も催行してくれてたらそちらに参加したかった。

I was able to visit various places in one day, and I had plenty of free time to leisurely explore and enjoy myself. Although the sightseeing boat at Lake Shikotsu was canceled due to strong winds, I quickly enjoyed climbing up to the observation deck and wandering around. The lunch at Lake Toya was also delicious and very filling. I walked to the Wakasaimo Toya main store to enjoy freshly made "imo-ten" and had fun visiting the lakeside viewpoints. From the Usuzan summit station, I could also see Mount Komagatake from the Usuzan crater observation deck. The driver and the bus guide were both very nice, and participating in this tour was definitely the right choice. I would like to use this service again.
１日で色んなところへ回れて、フリータイムもゆったりで、あちこち散策できて満喫できました。
支笏湖は、強風で遊覧船は欠航でしたが、展望台に上がったり、散策してるとあっという間でした。
洞爺湖のランチもボリュームたっぷりで美味しかったです。わかさいも洞爺湖本店まで歩いて揚げたて「いもてん」を食べたり、湖畔のビュースポット巡りして楽しめました。
有珠山山頂駅から坂道を上がる有珠山火口原展望台からは、駒ヶ岳も眺めることができました。
運転手さん、バスガイドもとってもよい方で、このツアーに参加して大正解でした。また利用したいです。

Although the weather was unfortunately rainy, I was able to enjoy highlights at each place I visited. This was definitely more efficient than exploring on my own, making it a great choice for a short trip. I would like to revisit the Blue Pond on a sunny day, but I was satisfied with the photos I took that captured the essence of Hokkaido. This was my first time participating in a bus tour, and I would like to use this service again.
雨で生憎の天気でしたが、行った先々ではポイントを押さえた楽しみができ、これはやっぱり自分で探して行くよりも効率良く、滞在の短い旅行では大正解でした。

The weather was nice and the bus was running smoothly. お天気良くてバスも順調でした。

The bus guide accompanied us, but they used a type of audio guide that played through earphones. It seems the main job of the bus guide was to provide information about the meeting points. The sightseeing boat on Lake Shikotsu was canceled due to strong winds, and the shops offering discounts were closed. The day-use hot springs were only available on weekends, so we couldn't use them.
At the visitor center, we received recommendations for walking trails and went for a stroll. The scenery was beautiful, but it would have been nice to hear this information from the bus guide. I should have researched shopping information about the Mushroom Kingdom in advance, but since I went on a whim, I ended up buying Hokkaido apples and potatoes from a nearby fruit and vegetable shop. I'm looking forward to that, but it's a shame I didn't have time to try the mushroom soup. Also, it would have been great if the bus had shared information about the popular mushroom assortment and the rare fallen leaf mushrooms.
After lunch at Lake Toya, we were able to relax at the day-use hot springs. After viewing the crater from the nearby observation deck at Mount Usu, we enjoyed soft serve ice cream at Usu Terrace. We received a 100 yen discount with our bus tour ticket.
After getting off the ropeway, we didn't go to the bear ranch and instead wandered around the sign for Showa Shinzan. The Silo Observation Deck offers a breathtaking view of Lake Toya from a high vantage point. The souvenir shop was crowded, and I missed the chance to buy Yotei Mountain beer, which seems to be hard to find in Sapporo city. However, it was available at New Chitose Airport.
As the sun set, we headed back to Sapporo while enjoying the sunset. Our last restroom break was at the dark Nakayama Pass, where we were lucky to catch a glimpse of the sunset over Mount Yotei.
All in all, I had a wonderful day. Thank you!

支笏湖の遊覧船は強風のため欠航。割引の効くお店はお休み。日帰り温泉は土日だけで利用できず。
ビジターセンターで遊歩道のオススメを教えてもらって散策しました。景色はよかったですが、この情報はバスガイドさんから聞けたら良かったですね。
きのこ王国のショッピング情報は事前に調べたら良かったですが…ふらっと行ったので、横の果物や野菜のお店で北海道のリンゴとじゃがいもを購入。これは楽しみなのですが、きのこ汁を食べる時間無くて残念。そして、きのこの詰め合わせが人気なのと、珍しい落ち葉きのこの情報はバスで伝えて欲しいところです。
洞爺湖のランチの後は日帰り温泉でゆっくりできました。
有珠山ロープウェイは近くの展望台から火口を見た後、有珠テラスでソフトクリームを食べました。バスツアーの半券で100円引きになります。
ロープウェイを降りて熊牧場には行かず、昭和新山の看板あたりをぶらぶらしました。
サイロ展望台は洞爺湖を高台から見下ろす絶景を楽しめる。お土産屋さんは混んでいて、羊蹄山ビールが気になったのに買いそびれた。これ札幌市内には、あまり置いていないようです。新千歳空港にはありました。
日も暮れ夕焼けを見ながら札幌へ。最後のトイレ休憩は真っ暗な中山峠。羊蹄山に沈む夕日がギリギリ見えて良かったです。

During the sudden cold snap, my lightweight down jacket was a lifesaver. Unfortunately, the visibility at Lake Shikotsu was not great due to heavy rain two days before the tour, but the view of Mount Usu from Lake Toya was stunning, with fresh snow accumulated on the summit from the previous day. It was also impressive to see Showa Shinzan up close. If I had a bit more time at Mount Usu, I would have loved to walk the trekking course there.
急に寒くなってきた時期で薄手のダウンジャケットが大活躍しました。
ツアー参加２日前に大雨が降ったので支笏湖の透明度は残念ながらイマイチでしたが、洞爺湖から見る有珠山などは前日降った雪が山頂に積もっており、とても綺麗でした。昭和新山も近くで見れて、迫力がありとても良かったです。有珠山でもう少し時間があれば、有珠山のトレッキングコースを歩いてみたかったです。

It was my first trip to the Furano and Biei area. The weather was great, and I truly enjoyed the breathtaking scenery and the magnificent nature of Hokkaido throughout the day (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*). Considering the distance from Sapporo, I initially wondered if it was possible to see so much in one day, but the guidance was excellent. They also took great care to ensure we had enough restroom breaks, and I enjoyed a delicious hamburger and a mini cheese fondue set for lunch. Additionally, we even had time for souvenir shopping at Rokkatei Campagne in Furano, making for a wonderfully luxurious and relaxing day. I'm so grateful!!

First of all, the two-hour bus ride was very pleasant thanks to the guide's explanations, which were wonderful. It felt almost like listening to a story being read aloud!
At Asahiyama Zoo, I was able to meet the polar bear, Pirika Mama, and her cub, Yume-chan, whom I was really looking forward to seeing, both at the beginning and the end of my visit. It is said that it takes 7 minutes to walk from Usuzan Ropeway Station to the summit, but it actually takes about 10 minutes, which can be quite tough for those over 70 years old. The temperature at the summit was 5 degrees, and it was windy, so dressing warmly is advisable. The soft serve ice cream at the top was delicious. The bus guide in central Sapporo was very kind and helpful. The lunch at Lake Toya, at Kohantei, was luxurious and tasty. It was a very enjoyable trip.

First of all, thank you to the crew and the guide for your hard work throughout the day. I made my reservation online, so I had the front seat on the left side of the bus. Originally, I was supposed to travel with my wife, but she passed away last year, and I ended up on this solo trip. We were blessed with weather that could be called the last warmth of the year! Although the lavender season has passed, the colorful flowers were blooming beautifully! The blue pond was also breathtakingly beautiful and left me in awe!

It was a very fulfilling tour. We visited all the sightseeing spots, and at almost every location, we had plenty of time, so I was able to take many memorable photos. The lunch was also very delicious, and you can enjoy it slowly while taking in the wonderful view, so I highly recommend it!

It was my first bus tour. The weather wasn't perfect, but to make up for it, the guide and the driver were truly wonderful people, and I had a pleasant day. I think it has been tough for the past 2-3 years due to COVID-19, and I sincerely hope that these unique bus tours in Japan will continue to survive. I didn't know that a bus guide would be included. The veteran woman shared fun stories about Hokkaido, and her relaxed tone was just right for the long journey. Since it was my first time in Hokkaido, I found her stories very interesting. We enjoyed Asahiyama Zoo for a full three hours, which felt just right. On the way back, the guide said, "I will keep it quiet," allowing me to doze off during the ride. Since it was an unfamiliar place, and Hokkaido is quite vast, I think the tour was very convenient and good. If I have another opportunity, I would like to use a different course. One point of criticism regarding the system is that having to present a paper ticket nowadays is a bit outdated. Since it's a tour, gathering is unavoidable, but I would prefer to show a voucher on my smartphone screen instead. There are times when you might be cutting it close.
バスガイドさんが付くとは知らなかったです。ベテランの女性で北海道のことを楽しくお話してくれて、ゆったりしたトーンが長旅にちょうどよかったです。はじめての北海道でしたので、そういったお話もとても興味深く聞きました。旭山動物園はたっぷり3時間楽しんで、ちょうどよいと感じました。帰りはガイドさんは「静かにしますので」といってくださり、居眠りをしながら帰ってこれました。慣れない場所、しかも広い北海道ですので、ツアーはとても便利でいいと思います。また機会がありましたら、別のコースで利用してたいです。1点だけ、システムにダメ出ししますと、いまどきチケットを紙で出さないとダメというのはちょっといただけないかな。ツアーなので集合は仕方ないですが、スマホの画面などでバウチャー見せればOKにしてほしいです。ギリギリで乗ることもありますし。

It was great to efficiently visit the main tourist spots. I was worried about my 78-year-old mother’s stamina, but since it was a tour without a guide or escort, we were able to explore each location at our own pace within the allotted time, which was not a problem. We enjoyed relaxing at a restaurant with a nice view, and my mother was happy to go at her own pace.
The frequent stops at various spots made restroom breaks manageable. Considering the transportation costs to Hakodate, it was very economical.
The flexibility in extending our stay at certain locations was also very good. It became a wonderful memory! Thank you!

78歳の母親と一緒で体力的に心配でしたが、添乗員やガイドの付かないツアーなので、着いた観光地では時間内で自由行動で自分のペースで廻れてたので問題ありませんでした。眺めの良い食堂でまったりしたりと、マイペースに出来て、母親も喜んでいました。
こまめにスポットに止まるので、トイレも大丈夫でした。
函館までの交通費も考えるととてもお得でした。
滞在時間は余裕があると臨機応変に長めに取ってくれて、とても良かったです。

I participated in a trip for my mother's birthday with just the two of us. Since my mother wanted to see the flower fields at Shikisai no Oka and public transportation was inconvenient since she can't drive, we considered joining a tour. In the end, it was a great decision! The flower fields were the main attraction, but the guide's stories along the way were also fascinating, the lunch was delicious, and the content was fulfilling, leaving both my mother and me very satisfied. I participated with some anxiety due to the rain forecast, but I was truly lucky to complete the entire itinerary without any rain. The blue pond, which I was most looking forward to, exceeded my expectations, and I was very satisfied. I am grateful for the driver who accompanied us from the start, as well as the guide, whose explanations were clear and provided us with a wealth of knowledge. It was a long day, but I was able to spend a very fulfilling and enriching day.

Although it was a sunny day at Lake Shikotsu, the strong winds caused the sightseeing boat to be canceled, which was disappointing. However, I was still able to enjoy a very pleasant time just walking around. We had lunch at a hotel by Lake Toya, but the free time afterward was too long, and I didn't know what to do with myself. At Mount Usu, we took the ropeway to the summit and walked for about 7 to 8 minutes, but I highly recommend going to the crater observation deck! It became a wonderful memory.
支笏湖では晴天にも関わらず、風が強くて遊覧船が欠航となり残念でしたが、散策するだけでもとても気持ちのいい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。洞爺湖畔のホテルでランチとなりましたが、そのランチの後の自由時間が長すぎて持て余しました。有珠山では、ロープウェイで山頂まで行き、7,8分程歩きますが火口展望台まで行くのがおすすめです！！とてもいい思い出となりました。
