It takes just over two hours from gathering to dispersing, so it's best to participate with some time to spare. This way, you can take your time. It's a gentle experience, but since you'll be going down the river and then back up, I found the latter half to be more tiring than I expected. Also, in the shallow parts of the river, you'll need to walk, so it's advisable to prepare for that as well. Considering all of this, it was a very good experience for the family.

I went rafting for the first time with my male colleagues during our trip to Sapporo. Since it was late September, I was a bit worried that the current might not be gentle, but when we arrived, the flow was just right and the terrain had enough drops to provide a thrilling experience. Thanks to the dry suits, we didn't feel cold at all, and we were able to have a great time getting soaked together!
From the training to the experience and even afterward, the staff, who were full of enthusiasm, created a fun atmosphere throughout, making it a fantastic memory. The photos and videos taken as an option were also of great quality, and I was very satisfied!

I participated in the 2-hour course. Although it rained, the time flew by and we had a lot of fun. The course included areas that felt like a dense jungle, and the children were very happy. I joined during the waiting time before my flight home, and it turned out to be more enjoyable than I expected; I'm glad I participated in this tour.
After reaching the endpoint by canoe, all participants took a van back. On the day of the event, four families participated, and I think there were a total of 12 people, including children. Due to the rain, we boarded a single closed vehicle to return to the starting point. Two families knew each other and spent the entire ride talking and laughing loudly, which made me concerned about the risk of COVID-19 infection. There were no COVID-19 prevention measures in place.

2家族が知り合い同士で、この2家族が到着までずっと大声で話したり笑ったりしていて、コロナの感染が心配でした。

We participated with my second-grade child and my great-grandmother, who is celebrating her 77th birthday, making it a four-generation experience. The river's flow was gentle and shallow, so there was no fear, and we had a great time. The guide was friendly and provided reassurance, even when the steering didn't go perfectly or was a bit delayed. Since it was a half course, the actual time spent kayaking was about an hour, so only the child brought a water bottle, but on a sunny summer day, it might be a good idea for adults to bring one as well. My great-grandmother seemed a bit tired, but the adults found it very enjoyable. The guide also took photos at various points and provided us with the images at the end, which was a nice touch. I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises.

It was unfortunately cloudy that day, but it might have been better since direct sunlight would have been harsh.
With the 4-kilometer course, you can get a free shuttle to New Chitose Airport. This service is great for tourists. They also take care of your luggage, and you can put your valuables in a waterproof bag for the canoe. I recommend using the restroom beforehand.
The first half of the 4 kilometers goes down a wide and calm river, while the second half is like a jungle course. I thought the 4 kilometers would be easy, but paddling on both sides made it difficult to maintain balance.
There were foreign participants paddling alongside us. The guide was very enjoyable. If you have an iPhone, you can receive photos via AirDrop.

I participated with my mother at the beginning of August, and I think it was really fun. The day before departure, I received a message from the person in charge, and we discussed and decided on the meeting place and time. They provided transportation to an easy-to-find spot near the bus stop.
There are no changing rooms on site, but you can change at a nearby restroom. When we went rafting, I felt that the river was really beautiful. It took about 2.5 hours in total. During the last 30 minutes, I was able to swim a little.
I think this was a lot of fun, and I would like to participate again.

I participated in the shuttle service from New Chitose Airport. The meeting point was a bit hard to find, and the map provided had a low resolution, making it almost unreadable. It's located at the far end of the arrival floor on the JAL side, so it takes a little time to get there from the ANA side.
We practiced in a wide area of the river up to halfway, and the hour went by in no time, so if there are no constraints, I recommend two hours. The second half of the course has a narrower river width, and the current gets a bit faster, so you might get swept away a little. The river isn't very deep, so the danger level is low. It was a fun activity where you can enjoy the nature typical of Hokkaido.
新千歳空港送迎で参加しました。集合場所が少し分かりにくいし、こちらの地図が解像度低くほぼよめません。JAL側の到着フロアの端っこなんでANA側からは少し時間かかります。

I opted for the full course because I wanted a pickup from Chitose Airport, and I'm glad I did.
In the beginning, I learned how to paddle a canoe while having a fun conversation with the guide, who also pointed out some yellow flowers that were still blooming in the river.
In the latter half, we navigated through a narrower river surrounded by trees like a jungle, and I enjoyed catching glimpses of kingfishers and hearing their calls.
In the jungle, I felt the temperature drop significantly, which was very pleasant.
They also took care of my flight departure and stored my large luggage, so I was able to relax and enjoy my time very much!

千歳空港から送迎して頂きたかったので、フルコースにしましたが、フルコースにしてよかったです。
序盤はカヌーのこぎ方を教えて貰いながら、ガイドの方と楽しくお話しさせて頂き、川に少し残ってた黄色いお花を教えて頂いたりしました。
後半は、少し細い川になったりジャングルの様に木に囲まれた場所を進ませて頂き、カワセミの声や姿をチラチラ見ることができて楽しかったです。
ジャングルでは、気温がグッと涼しくなったのを感じて、とても心地よく感じました。
飛行機の出立についても気にしていただき、大きな荷物も預かっていただけたので、非常に安心かつ楽しく過ごすことができました！

This was the last leg of our whirlwind family trip to Sapporo. I was very satisfied that we could experience canoeing close to the airport within the time we had before our flight. Although there was some wind that day, our guide provided support, which made us feel at ease. In the full-course jungle area, we were able to see kingfishers flying close to the water's surface. It became a wonderful memory.

I wanted my first-grade son to experience canoeing, so I made a reservation. They picked us up from our accommodation and provided life jackets. They also taught us how to paddle in a very thorough manner. Both my child and I were new to canoeing, but we were able to enjoy it with peace of mind. The weather was great, and the views were wonderful. Since there were few participants when we joined, we were lucky to have a family photo taken along the way. It became a memorable canoeing experience. The river's flow was gentle (though there were some parts that were a bit faster), so I recommend it for those considering an experience with children!

I chose the full course, and I was able to practice on the wider section with some wind in the first half, then enjoyed the jungle-like course in the second half. It seems that you can't access the jungle on the half course, so I recommend the full course.
I also saw a lot of bluebirds (kingfishers).
I think it would be good to have insect repellent spray for the jungle part!
The guides were cheerful and entertaining as well.

The foreign guide was interesting and taught us very accurately. My first canoe experience was amazing. However, since the river was shallow, there wasn't much tension.

The day after watching the Hanshin game at Escon Field, I was looking for a place nearby where we could go canoeing. I found out that they offer a two-hour course with pick-up from New Chitose Airport, so we signed up for four people.
The first hour was spent paddling on a large river, and the second hour was on a narrower river. This was our third time canoeing, but we particularly enjoyed the second half of the course, where we could really feel the abundant negative ions in nature. I'm glad we chose the two-hour course.
Along the way, we encountered swans and had a fun canoeing experience while listening to the sounds of the birds.
今回はエスコンフィールドでの阪神戦を観戦した翌日に近くでカヌーができるところがないかな？と探していました。
2時間コースなら新千歳空港からの送迎をしていただけるとのことで四人で申し込みしました。
最初の1時間は大きな川を、後半の1時間は細めの川を漕いでいくコースでした。
カヌーは3回目の私たちでしたが、特にマイナスイオンたっぷりの自然を感じられる後半のコースはとても気に入って２時間コースを選んで良かったなと思いました。
途中白鳥にも遭遇し、鳥の声を聞きながらの楽しいカヌーコースでした。

I caught over 10 fish, but my friends and other groups only caught 2 or 3, which was a bit disappointing. The lecture is thorough, so even beginners in fishing will have no problem. For those who are not comfortable with insects, I think you can manage the baiting, but it's a good idea to bring something to wipe your hands. The tempura they fry on-site is delicious, but it's only available once towards the end, so any fish caught afterward will need to be released. It might be because the fishing location changed, but we ended up finishing about 40 to 50 minutes later than scheduled, which caused some of our plans to be canceled. I think it's better to make reservations with some extra time in mind.
自分は10匹以上釣れましたが、友達や他のグループの方は2,3匹しか釣れておらず、少し残念な結果になってしまいました。
レクチャーは丁寧なので、釣り初心者でも問題ないです。
虫などが苦手な人でも餌付けはなんとかできるとは思いますが、手を拭くものを用意しておくと良いと思います。
その場で揚げてくれる天ぷらは美味しいですが、終盤の一度だけなので、その後に釣った分はリリースになります。
釣り場所が変更になったためか、予定時間を40〜50分ほどオーバーしての終了だったので、その後の予定が少しキャンセルになりました。
予定に余裕を持って予約された方がいいかと思います。

I thought ice fishing for wakasagi was a must on my first trip to Hokkaido, so I signed up for the tour. Although there were concerns about the rain, the weather was pleasant with the sun peeking out and then clouding over. The guide was attentive, and my first canoe experience went smoothly, allowing me to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of Jozankei, which is now adorned with autumn colors. I was able to take many photos of the red bridge and the autumn leaves that often appear in advertisements. The next day, it seems that the first snow fell at Nakayama Pass, but on that day it was still warm enough to comfortably wear sandals. I was also surprised to find that the turnaround point for the canoe had a hot spring, where I could pleasantly dip my feet.

I signed up for the two-hour course despite being a beginner. I thought that if I chose the half course, it would end just when I was getting used to it. In the end, the two hours flew by, and it was so much fun that it ended before I knew it. Since I wanted to enjoy the canoe experience, I prepared by watching YouTube videos on how to paddle at Bibigawa before going, and I received compliments from the guide for being skilled. The tour description mentioned swans, but it seems to depend on the season; we were able to see a kingfisher, which was a beautiful blue. Although the water wasn't crystal clear, the presence of the kingfisher suggests that the water must be clean. The guide also mentioned there were wild grapes, and when I expressed my desire to try them, he picked some for me. They were incredibly sour and had a lot of seeds, but it was a great experience. 結果は2時間でもあっと言う間で楽しい楽しいのあいだに終わっちやいました。
カヌー体験に申し込んたからには楽しみたいと家に居る時からYou Tubeで美々川（びびがわ）カヌーで漕ぎ方を予習して臨み、ガイドさんから上手だとお褒めの言葉をいただきました。
ツアー説明に白鳥と書いてありましたが時期にもよるみたいです、私達はカワセミを見ることができました、きれいなブルーでした、水は澄んでいるわけではなかったけどカワセミが住んてるということはきれいな水なんでしょうね。
あとガイドが山葡萄がある言うので食べたいというと採ってくれました、めちゃめちゃ酸っぱいし種が多いけどいい経験ができました。
空もきれいでガイドさんにスマホを渡すと写真も撮ってもらえます。

I was nervous about canoeing for the first time, but since the instructor chose a guided course, I was able to take videos and photos along the way. I wanted to paddle, but when I got too focused on paddling, I didn't have any time to look around or take pictures. So, I strongly recommend having the instructor with you for the first time! You can see kingfishers along the way, which is quite rare. The sound of the paddle slicing through the water is also very soothing. Definitely enjoy the full course with the instructor!
初めてのカヌーでドキドキでしたが、先生が同乗コースを選んだので、途中動画や写真を撮ることが出来ました。
カヌーをこぎたい気持ちはありましたが、こぐことに夢中になったり必死になると、ゆっくり周りをみたり写真をとる余裕が全くないです。

I thought we would be on a cruise with someone rowing for us, but it turned out to be a couple's cruise where we had to coordinate our efforts. It was challenging until we got in sync, but our guide, who was from Nepal, was fluent in Japanese and led us efficiently and enjoyably, making for a fun time. The occasional encounters with dangerous narrow spots added a thrilling element to the experience.

On the last afternoon in Sapporo, I signed up for a full course with transportation included. The weather was occasionally drizzly. They provided simple raincoats at the tour location. The full course goes through narrow areas, so there may be times when it doesn't go smoothly, but I think as long as you paddle calmly, there's no need to worry. I was satisfied to see water plants, delicate flowers, and even a kingfisher. I was also able to take photos with my smartphone. We participated as three families with children. We chose this place at the request of my elementary school grandchild. It was our first time canoeing, but the guide was right there with us, and they provided a lecture on how to paddle in the river, which made us feel safe. The guide's stories were enjoyable, and the kids really engaged with them! Everyone in the family said, "That was great! We had so much fun!" and we were able to have a wonderful day even during the pandemic. I'm glad we chose this place.
However, the parking lot was the meeting point, but we weren't sure where it was and ended up passing it, so we had to turn back. I thought it would be helpful to have clearer signs.

I had a great time!
For those who want to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace, I recommend signing up for the guided course where a guide will paddle for you (a course with a guide who rides along).
Since several groups receive explanations together, there is a bit of waiting time before getting on the canoe.
It was a hot summer day, but the water surface was cool, and I think it's a great course that can be enjoyed by people of all ages!

I had some time before my flight, so I was looking for a tour near the airport and found this one... it was a huge hit, and I was surprised! The guide was attentive, and the nature was beautiful... I participated on a clear day in late October. The experience began with a humorous guide explaining how to paddle a canoe, and then we boarded in pairs or groups of three. As winter approaches, the water in the Toyohira River is quite cold, but the scenery is beautiful, making for a pleasant one-hour experience. We paddled downstream and then used our own strength to go upstream. The current is gentle, so there aren't any moments that require much effort, but there is a part where you need to get out of the canoe and walk in the water while returning upstream, so having a towel would be a good idea.
10月下旬のよく晴れた日に参加しました。
体験では最初にカヌーの漕ぎ方についてユーモアあるガイドさんが説明してくれ、その後、2人または3人組で乗り込みます。
