Regarding your comments about the seating, you are correct. Especially on the way to Gokayama, both of the nationally designated important cultural properties are on the left side. Additionally, there is a viewpoint overlooking the Suganuma settlement, which is also on the left side. However, it is legally prohibited to stop for long on the national road, so we can only stop for a few seconds. Those on the right side can stand up to take photos, and we wait until they are seated before moving again.

When departing from Shirakawa-go, we also inform everyone that sitting on the left side provides a better view. However, it is difficult to definitively say whether the right side or the left side is better for bus travel. We sincerely ask for your understanding on this matter, especially as you are an experienced traveler with Genie in the Bottle.
