I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the meal. It featured local specialties that can only be found in that area, with plenty of meat and vegetables, and it has received great feedback from many guests. Shirakawa-go is different from typical tourist spots; being a UNESCO World Heritage site, there are many highlights to explore, and it definitely requires a good amount of time.

It might have felt a bit lacking for you, who enjoys visiting souvenir shops. However, the village, reminiscent of a fairy tale, still retained a lot of nature.

I also vividly remember the two foreigners who came from Europe. When I asked them about the meals, they mentioned that they were not yet accustomed to Japanese food and that it was their first experience with Japanese cuisine. It wasn't that the food didn't suit their taste; rather, their companion was vegan, and they had booked the tour just the day before, so they couldn't contact us regarding the meals. They expressed their apologies for leaving food behind after seeing others enjoying their meals. They said they definitely want to come back to Japan again.

Thank you for joining our tour. The weather was surprisingly cool, and there was a brief moment of rain, but overall it was a comfortable day. I believe you were able to take many memorable photos in Shirakawa-go. I don't know everything about Shirakawa-go; there are still parts I am unfamiliar with. I'm just sharing my favorite spots and personal recommendations. Conversely, I've learned quite a bit from tourists as well.

Regarding sightseeing in Takayama, I certainly have my favorite places, souvenir shops, and cafes. I provided a brief introduction the other day as a reference. However, I do wonder if it's appropriate to only share my personal preferences, and I think it might be nice for everyone to discover various souvenir shops on their own. I always believe it's important to embrace a spirit of adventure without being bound by preconceived notions. I hope you can understand that.

I believe I provided some information about Takayama's history shortly after we entered the city. Taking your advice into account, I hope to study even more and provide better guidance in the future. I would love for you to create an opportunity to visit during a different season; I’m sure there will be even more wonderful experiences.

Regarding the observation deck in Shirakawa-go, the area under construction is likely on private property owned by an individual business. The construction has been ongoing since June. There is a village-operated observation deck located 50 meters down from the fence next to the construction site. If you took the shuttle bus that runs between the village and the observation deck, it's a bit disappointing that the driver did not provide you with that information.

If you have the opportunity, would you consider visiting Shirakawa-go in winter when it’s covered in snow? The snowy scenery of Shirakawa-go is truly breathtaking.
