A MUST when visiting Kyoto!
Reviewed by: Allewich , 2018/04/07This was the highlight of my trip to Kyoto. A great way to experience one of the temples.
I walked into a lovely room with Hot green tea and my yukata robe waiting for me. There was a little Kitchenet and a small tv as well. I was given a short tour of the place, where I was shown the shower room/steam bath, and bathrooms. They provided shampoo and a toothbrush as well.
In the morning I woke up early to attend the prayer service which was absolutely worth doing - it was wonderful to learn and experience.
This was followed by a Japanese FEAST! Wow. What a meal. Everyone should opt for this breakfast! They were so kind and remade my entire breakfast when they found out I was gluten intolerant - which is hard to do for most Japanese dishes. I am incredibly appreciative.
The stay also comes with a ticket to see the grounds and gardens! Absolutely beautiful.
Loved my entire experience and would recommend it to anyone!
