Just what I wantedReviewed by: Hunter, 2016/09/05
We booked a Kyoto tour via Veltra because it was the only one we could find online that had a tour of the 3 places I wanted to see in Kyoto. Booking was easy, but the problem was the lack of reviews from people. We took a leap of faith anyway.
We received an electronic confirmation upon payment including the time and place where to meet up. The instructions were quite clear and it came in both Japanese and English.
One drawback was that there was no email address we can write to if we have any questions about the tour, but luckily we had all the information we needed.
Come the day itself we arrived at the JR Namba station meeting point and it was quite smooth. They gave us stickers to put on our shirt - to identify us as belonging in this tour. We boarded the bus and off we went to Kyoto.
We were with other people also doing a Kyoto tour but the sights they are booked at are different from ours. So when we arrived in Kyoto, a separate tour guide brought us around for the 1st 2 sites, then we had to rendezvous with the original group at the last stop. From there we all took the same bus back to Namba.
Everything was very well thought out and planned well. The bus was comfortable, complete with USB slots to charge our phones, and foot rests (quite useful at the end of the day).
Probably one drawback was, although our guide spoke english, we could not hear what he was saying on the bus. It was like he was whispering into the microphone.
Overall, great way to see Fushimi Inari Shrine, the bamboos at Arashiyama, and Kinkakuji.
We got back to Namba at 5pm (it wasn't rushed at all) and still had the entire evening to enjoy.
Thanks for your high valuation on ours tours. We will continue to provide a good travel products future
