The cherry blossoms have ended, and we are in the green season before the rainy season. On the way there, we took the trolley train, and on the way back, we went down the river. At first, the river was monotonous, and I was a bit tired from sightseeing yesterday, so I couldn't help but yawn. However, after the midway point, the river became more varied, giving a bit of a roller coaster feeling. If the surrounding scenery had been cherry blossoms or autumn leaves, it would have been even more enjoyable.

Lastly, if you don't print the voucher, it will cost you 50 yen. This is the first time I've experienced this, both domestically and internationally. Be sure to print it out!

桜が終わって、梅雨に入る前の緑の季節。行きは、トロッコ列車、帰りは、川下り。最初は、単調な川流で、昨日からの観光疲れも出て、失礼ながら、あくび。中盤以降は変化のある川流で、ちょっとしたジェットコースター気分。周りの景色か、桜や紅葉なら、もっと楽しめたはす。
最後にバウチャーを、プリントして来なかったら、50円、かかりました。
今まで、国内外で初めてです。必ずプリントしていきましょう。

The area near the boarding point had not yet bloomed, but the disembarkation point at Arashiyama was starting to show some color. During the boat ride, the boatman shared information like, "When in bloom, this area will be in full bloom," which helped me imagine the peak bloom time, so that was great. All three boatmen were very enthusiastic in their talks, and their desire to entertain us was clearly conveyed. It was a very valuable experience, providing a break from daily life for just under two hours.

乗り場付近はまだ開花前でしたが、降り場の嵐山は少し色づいていました。乗船中は船頭さんが、「開花の場合はこの辺りが満開です」など教えて下さり、満開の時をイメージさせてもらえたので良かったです。3人の船頭さんは全員トークが一生懸命で、楽しませようとする気持ちがとても伝わりました。日常から離れた2時間弱で、大変貴重な体験ができました。

It had been a while since I went down the Hozu River. It was drizzling lightly, but the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The boatmen were all great conversationalists, making for a fun and engaging boat trip from start to finish. Thank you very much!

The weather was nice and hot, but it was great to relax and enjoy. Next time, I would like to come when the water level is higher.

We used this service as a couple. During the Hozu River boat ride, the water level was low that day, allowing for a leisurely descent. Although it was still April, the weather was nice, and I ended up getting sunburned, so sun protection is essential.

Not only did I feel refreshed and have a change of pace, but I also saw the traces left by typhoons and floods that have eroded the mountains, which made me appreciate the power of nature. I will use this service again.

夫婦で利用しました。保津川下り、当日は川の水が少なくゆっくりと降ることができました。まだ4月ですがお天気も良く日焼けてしまったので、日焼け対策は必須ですね。

涼を感じ気分転換ができたほか、台風･洪水が山々を削った跡なども見られ、自然の力強さを感じることが出来ました。また利用します。

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and very beautiful. The people who were rowing for us were also very entertaining and provided various explanations, making the two hours fly by. I definitely want to come back and ride again during the fresh green season and autumn leaves.

The voice of the previous boatman was too quiet, and since we were in the middle, we couldn't hear what was being said. The group of customers in the back and the staff were having a great time, while we, the customers sitting at the front of the boat, felt completely left out. It felt very much like a "the customer is king" attitude, which was unpleasant. I was disappointed because I had brought my mother, who came from Tokyo, and she was looking forward to it.

前の船頭さんの声が小さくて、真ん中にいた私達は何を言ってるのか聞き取れず、後ろのお客グループとスタッフとで盛り上がってるばかりで、船の前方に座った私達客は、しらけきってました。いかにも殿様商売で、不愉快でした。
東京から来た母が楽しみにしていて連れて行ったのに残念でした。

My first experience of Hozu River boat ride✩
The weather was great, and it was nice to see the cherry blossoms in bloom. When I first heard that the ride would take 1 hour and 50 minutes, I was a bit worried since I had my child with me, but the guide's stories were very interesting, so we never got bored.
While we were going down the river, we even encountered some monkeys, which really boosted our spirits. I thought it would be even better during the autumn foliage season.

とても天気も良く桜も咲いているのが見れ良かったです。最初所要時間が１時間50分と聞いた時、子供も一緒だったので不安でしたが先頭さんの話もとてもおもしろく暇にならなかったです。
下っている時、おさるさんにも遭遇でき、テンション上がりました。紅葉の季節だともっと良いんだろうなぁーと思いました。

The number of participants was small, so we had a microbus. The vehicle was old, and the driver's driving was rough, which was very scary. It seemed like there was a tight schedule; even though there was a 10-minute gap between the meeting time and departure time, we left without waiting for the departure time despite arriving on time. It felt rushed and uncomfortable, especially for those of us who boarded last.

It was a Hozu River boat ride in light rain, but we enjoyed it without any issues thanks to the roof! The thrill of the rapids and the boatman's talk were fun, and the cherry blossoms we saw along the way were beautiful, making for a fulfilling experience. Next time, I definitely want to take a ride during the fresh green season recommended by the boatman.

小雨の中の保津川下りでしたが、屋根もあり問題なく楽しめました！急流でのスリルや船頭さんのトークも楽しく、まて途中で見れた桜も美しく、充実した時間を過ごせました。
次回は船頭さんお勧めの新緑の時期にぜひ乗船したいです。

We went out for cherry blossom viewing in early spring. My wife was really looking forward to our first experience of the Hozu River boat ride. It was so much fun, and we enjoyed the blooming cherry blossoms. The boatman was also great at engaging us with his talk, and it went by in no time, but we made wonderful memories.

春先の花見兼ねて出掛けました。初めての保津川下りで妻がとても楽しみにしていました。すごく楽しく、桜も咲いていて満喫できました。船頭さんもトークが上手で、あっと言う間でしたが、良い思い出できました。

I thought I would get bored after riding for two hours, but the boatman's stories were enjoyable, and the river descent was not too intense, allowing us to have a great time. I was hoping to see cherry blossoms, but it seems I was a bit early. In Arashiyama, they were about 30% in bloom, but in Hozu River, there were hardly any blossoms. I would love to come back during the fresh green season.

2時間も乗っていると時間を持て余すかと思いましたが、
船頭さんのお話も楽しく、川下りも激しすぎず楽しい時間を過ごせました。
桜を期待していたのですが少し早かったようです。嵐山では3分咲きくらいでしたが保津川ではほとんど咲いていませんでした。
新緑の季節にまた来たいです。

I thought I might get a bit bored since it was a long time, but the three boatmen took turns speaking, each with their own personality, and the 90 minutes flew by. If I have the chance to go to Kyoto again, I would love to ride again.

長い時間なので少し飽きてしまうかと思っていましたが、3人の船頭さんが順番にお話しされ、それぞれの方に個性があり、あっという間の90分でした。京都に行く機会があったらまた乗りたいと思います。

Without having to wait in line at the ticket counter, I wasn't sure if I could get a spot at the time I wanted, which made it difficult to plan. However, it was a bit more expensive to book in advance, but it gave me peace of mind. I waited about 30 minutes before boarding. You can eat and drink on the boat. There are refreshments available in the waiting room, and towards the end, they come around selling items on the boat. The boatmen were entertaining. It was a relaxing experience.

窓口で並ぶことなく、乗りたい時間が取れるかわからない、どうなるかにより予定が立たないこともなく、事前に少し窓口より高かったですが、
予約してあると安心です。乗るまでに30分くらい待ちました。船の中で飲食できます。待合室に売っていますし、最後の方ですが、船に売りに来ます。
船頭さんたちが面白かったです。のんびりしました。

The autumn leaves along both banks of the Hozu River were very beautiful. The boatman's stories were interesting, and we had a fun time drifting down the river. It was quite thrilling and enjoyable.

I participated in the Hozu River boat ride! The weather was nice from the morning, and the autumn leaves were beautiful, making the view absolutely stunning! The boatman was also a funny guy, and we were laughing the whole time! In December, it gets cold, so it's better to dress warmly. Eating and drinking were allowed on the boat! There were boats selling oden and grilled squid, so buying and eating those would enhance the atmosphere and make it even more enjoyable! I want to ride this in every season!

Just a few days ago, there was strong wind, so we missed the peak of the autumn leaves, but we enjoyed the beautiful maple trees along the river for two hours. The water was quite shallow, and the boatman, while out of breath, entertained us with plenty of humor. We hardly got splashed at all.

4,100 yen seemed a bit expensive at first, but we were very satisfied with the entertainment provided by the three boatmen over the two hours. I would love to visit again in a different season.

つい3,4日前に強風があったこともあり、紅葉の季節を外れてしまいましたが、ところどころ美しいもみじの川辺を、2時間かけてくだりました。水深がかなり低く、舵を取る船頭さんも、息を切らしながらそれでもユーモワーたっぷりの会話で楽しませてもらいました。水しぶきはほとんどかかりませんでした。
4100円 最初は高いかなとおもいましたが、3人の船頭さんが2時間かけてのエンターティメントにだいまんぞくでした。また違う季節に行ってみたいです。

寒さを伴う中で長時間過ごすのは苦痛を感じました。せっかくの良い観光資源ですので良い方法を考えていただければと思います。

I participated on Saturday, November 20th. There was only a 9 AM departure, but it was great to start early in the morning. I think four boats left at the same time.

The check-in was set up exclusively for Veltra, and I was able to board smoothly. We were in the front row with four people, but there was a plastic cover, so we didn't get wet.

There were some rapids here and there, but it seemed like the water level was low that day, so we didn't get splashed too much. The autumn leaves were at their peak, and I enjoyed a boat trip of just under two hours.

11月20日土曜に参加しました。時間が9時便しかなかったのですが、朝一でよかったです。同じ時間に4隻は出ていたと思います。
受付はベルトラ専用に用意されていて、スムーズに乗船できました。
1列4名で一番前でしたが、ビニールがあるので、濡れることもなかったです。
所々激流がありましたが、水量が少ない日だったみたいで、それほど水しぶきがかからなかったです。紅葉が見ごろで2時間弱の船旅楽しめました。

It was forecasted to be the coldest of the season, but the conditions were great, and the interactions with the boatman were enjoyable. I want to go again during cherry blossom season!

I went on November 23rd. The autumn leaves were very beautiful. It was my first time going down the river, but I didn't find it scary, and I think anyone can enjoy it.

11/23に行きました。紅葉がとても綺麗でした。川下りが初めてでしたが怖いことはなく、誰でも楽しめると思います。

Although there were concerns about the rain from the previous day, we were able to enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves without any falling. The cold was not as severe as I expected, and in the sunny spots, it was comfortable as we leisurely enjoyed about 1 hour and 40 minutes of river cruising. However, I was a bit concerned about the close proximity of people, as those in front of us were talking while drinking alcohol and had their masks off. I think each season offers different scenery, so I would like to visit again during the fresh green season.

前日の雨が心配されましたが、葉が散ることなく綺麗な紅葉が楽しめました。寒さも思ったほどではなく、陽が当たるところは快適でゆっくりと1時間40分ほどの川下りを満喫しました。
ただ人と人との距離がとても近く、前席の方々がお酒を呑みながらマスクを外して話されていたのが気になりました。
季節ごとに違った景色を楽しめると思うので、次は新緑の時期に訪れたいです。

川下りは何度か体験したことがありますが、今回の川下りは船頭さんのユーモアあるガイドが楽しかったです。
紅葉には少し早くて残念でしたが、新緑の時期が一番綺麗と聞いてまたチャレンジしてみたいです。

Due to only three participants, the bus tour was changed to utilize JR trains and chartered taxis, but we were fortunate with the weather and enjoyed sightseeing in Kyoto City from the vehicle. Although there was no dedicated tour guide accompanying us, a staff member from the operating company provided guidance.

Visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha for the first time coincided with the day before the Omiya Festival, and in addition to the famous thousand torii gates, we were able to see beautiful lantern decorations. The transfer to Kiyomizu-dera was smooth, and the Kyoto cuisine meal was so plentiful that we were completely satisfied.

We were able to see the Golden Pavilion in its freshly restored glory. Due to the tour's arrangements, we disbanded in Arashiyama and returned to Umeda on our own, which allowed us to choose a round trip on the tram and enjoy our free time.

Nearly half of the plan fee was refunded, but it was a wonderful journey with great flexibility.

参加者3名のみとのことで、バスツアーがJR利用や借上げタクシー利用へと変更になりましたが、天候にも恵まれ京都市内を車内から観光するというオマケ付き。
専属契約の添乗員さんは同行ありませんでしたけど、催行会社の係員さんが案内してくれました。
初めての伏見稲荷大社は、大宮祭前日にあたり
千本鳥居の他に綺麗な提灯飾りも拝見できました。
清水寺への移動もスムーズ、京料理御膳は満腹になるほどボリューム満点。
金閣は化粧直しのピカピカなお姿を拝見できました。
ツアーの都合上、嵐山での解散・自力で梅田へと帰還だったため、トロッコ電車往復をチョイスして自由時間も楽しめましたね。
プラン料金の半額近くが返金されましたが
小回り効いた良い旅路でした。

I thought the tour would involve a guide explaining various things at each location, but in reality, we were able to set our own meeting times and explore at our own pace. It was especially nice to take our time at Fushimi Inari Taisha. Thanks to this opportunity, I mentioned to my mother that I would like to spend a whole day leisurely exploring Fushimi Inari Taisha next time.

We were able to visit Kiyomizu-dera right after its restoration was completed, and we could also explore at our own pace there. This time, we couldn't visit Kinkaku-ji due to restoration work, but instead, we went to Ryōan-ji. There, we were able to take our time admiring the garden and taking photos, which was great.

ツアーは添乗員さんが、各地でいろいろ説明していくものと思っていましたが、実際は集合時間を決めて自分たちのペースで思い思いに行動できたこと。特に伏見稲荷大社をゆっくりと回れたのはよかったです。
この機会をもらったおかげで、母と今度は一日かけてゆっくりと伏見稲荷大社を回りたいとはなしていました。
清水寺はタイミングよく修復完了した後にお参りができて、こちらも自分のペースでまわれました。
今回金閣寺は修復のため、拝観できなったのですが、代わりに竜安寺に。
こちらではお庭をじっくりと眺め、写真を撮ることもできてよかったです。

Although the timing was a bit delayed, I had a great trip during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bus had good infection control measures in place, and the places I visited were less crowded than I expected! The cost performance was excellent.

時期としては少し後ろにズレてしまいましたがコロナ禍では良い旅行が出来ました。
バスの感染対策も出来ていましたし、訪問先各地が思った以上に混んでいませんでした！
コスパ最高でした。

I started at the thousand torii gates of Fushimi Inari by taking the train and then went to Kiyomizu-dera, where I was very pleased to see the newly replaced floors. It was a bit disappointing that the kanji character representing this year's social situation was scheduled to be revealed three days later. From there, I went to Ryōan-ji, but there were only garden stones, and I ended up with too much free time. Then I went to Arashiyama, crossed the Togetsukyo Bridge, and enjoyed some street food before concluding the day. We then parted ways, and I received a guide map for JR Saga-Arashiyama Station. The route was a bit confusing because the JR Saga-Arashiyama Station was located within a residential area, so I got a little lost.

電車に乗ってで伏見稲荷の千本鳥居からスタート⛩し清水寺へ行き新しく張り替えられた床を見れたのがとても良かったです。3日後には今年の世相を表す漢字一文字が披露される予定でしたので少し残念でした。そこから龍安寺に行きましたが庭石しか無く時間が持て余してしまいました、そして嵐山に行き、渡月橋を渡り出店で食べ歩きをして終了、そこで各自解散となりJR佐賀嵐山駅の案内地図をいただき帰るようなコースでしたが、住宅地の中にあったのでJR駅の嵯峨嵐山駅がなかなか分かりづらいところにあったので少し迷いました。

The crowded bus travel was expected. Each area was busy, but it was indeed the case. I didn't have enough time in Arashiyama.

The regional common coupon had expired. I added a day trip bus tour, so it can't be helped, but I didn't notice that the main two-night coupon could be used until the next day.

地域共通クーポンが期限切れになってました。
日帰りバスツアーを追加したんで仕方ないんだけど、メインの２泊のクーポンは翌日まで使えたので気が付きませんでした。
