I wanted to purify myself before visiting Ise Jingu, so I participated. I thought there would be fewer participants since it was a cold season, but there were multiple people joining. Since you sit while doing the waterfall meditation, I think beginners can easily participate. Although I didn't experience it this time, I recommend the sauna during the cold season. The staff's explanations were clear, polite, and interesting.

現地では小屋でお借りした作務衣に着替えをし、いざ滝行へ。
4名順番に入水するのですが、
川は膝くらいの深さで泳げない私でも安心して歩けます。
滝の入り方、祈祷の仕方などは現地のガイドさんがすべて教えてくれます。
最初滝に入る時は緊張しましたが、3回実施するので
すぐに慣れます。
気軽に体験した割には、何か清々しい、神聖な気分を味わえます。
現地ではガイドの方が写真撮影もしてくれて
