You will complete the boarding procedures at the terminal, but if you arrive early at the waiting area, I recommend waiting in front of the store. If you hesitate and wait from a distance, a line will quickly form. Since the procedures are done in the order of arrival, it's best to line up even if it seems like no one is there. However, you can sit somewhere, so there's no need to rush. Just keep in mind that you'd want a window seat. If you want to see the full view of Gunkanjima, a window seat or the deck is ideal. I don't think it matters which side you sit on, as the ship will maneuver so that both sides can see.

As the ship moves forward, you will see the silhouette of Gunkanjima. Before landing, the ship will slow down at several viewpoints and turn around to allow you to take in the island's scenery. The sight is truly Gunkanjima. Be sure to observe carefully and take photos.

The tour will land at a place called Dolphin Pier. From there, you will proceed left along the established tourist route, heading to the western edge of the island near the ruins of the iron pillar castle and then return. There will be a smooth flow of people going in both directions.

For the islanders who lived densely packed on the world's most densely populated island, effective land use was essential. Due to the lack of greenery, rooftop gardens were created on the roofs of company dormitories. It seems that fields and rice paddies were also made for the education of children, and you can catch a glimpse of that way of life even in its ruined state.

I don't know how long the landing tours will be possible. Eventually, there will come a day when it will no longer be feasible due to deterioration, so I highly recommend taking this opportunity to see it.

ターミナルで乗船手続きを済ませますが、早めに待合場所に到着したときは店の前で待つことをお勧めします。ちょっと遠慮して遠巻きに手続き開始を待っているとあっという間に列ができてしまいます。当然、並んだ順番での手続きですから誰もいないのでいいかと思わず並んでおくことが良いと思います。でもまぁ、どこかの席には座れますからあわてなくともよいかと。ただ、窓際はキープしたいところです。軍艦島の全景を見るならばやはり窓際かデッキですね。左右は問題ないと思います。船をどちらからも見えるように操舵してくれますから。

そして、船で進んでいくと見えてくる軍艦島の姿。上陸までに何度もビューポイントで速度を落としたり、反転して島の様子を観光させてくれます。もう、その姿はまさに軍艦島。じっくりと観察し、写真撮影は忘れずに。

ツアーではドルフィン桟橋と呼ばれる場所から上陸します。そこから整備されている観光ルートを左方向に進み、島の西の端、鉄柱古城付近まで行って戻ることになります。向かう人、帰る人の列の流れができていますのでスムーズに進みます。

世界最高の人口密度で狭い島に密集して暮らしていた島民にとって土地の有効活用は必然でした。また緑も無い事から屋上庭園が日給社宅の屋上に造られたとのこと。しかも子供達の教育用として畑から水田まで造られていたそうで、その生活の一端が廃墟の状態でも垣間見ることができました。

上陸見学はいつまで可能かわかりません。いずれ、老朽化から不可能となる日もくると思いますので今の機会にぜひ見てもらいたいです。

Since this is the only company you can use from Iojima, I decided to go with them. Even though it was a weekday during summer vacation, the boat was almost full with about 200 people. The ship was clean, and the staff were numerous and kind, even taking photos for us. It was incredibly hot, and the sunlight was intense. I wonder if it gets even hotter in the afternoon... A hat and a fan are essential.

伊王島から乗れる会社がここのみなので利用しました。
夏休み平日ですがほぼ満席２００名ほどとのことでした。
船は綺麗でスタッフの方も多く、写真を撮ってくれたりと親切でした。
とにかく暑くて、日差しがきつかったです。午後だともっと暑いのかな…
帽子とうちわが必須です。

The weather was nice, and we were able to land on Gunkanjima. It was my first visit, and it had a great atmosphere. The guide was also very good at telling stories, which made it enjoyable.

お天気も良くて軍艦島にも上陸出来ました。初めて訪れましたが、とても雰囲気がありました。ガイドの方のお話も上手で楽しかったです。

The day before, there was terrible rain, but on the day itself, we were blessed with good weather and were able to land under the best conditions! Although there were many participants, we were able to thoroughly learn about the island's history while listening to the guide's explanations. I strongly recommend studying the historical background in advance at the museum before landing. Be sure to enjoy the charm of Gunkanjima, one of the historic towns of Nagasaki.

前日はひどい大雨だったものの、当日は天気にも恵まれ、最高の条件の下、上陸することができました！
参加人数は多かったですが、ガイドさんの解説を聞きながら、島の歴史を存分に学ぶことができました。
上陸前に、ミュージアムで事前に歴史背景について予習をしておくことを強くお薦めします。
ぜひ歴史ある長崎の街の１つ、軍艦島の魅力を堪能してください。

The waves were rough, so it was disappointing that we couldn't land. Since we can dock at Iojima, I hope we can also dock at Gunkanjima. The concierge's boat was comfortable. However, waiting in line before the reception time was tough on hot days.

波が荒くて残念でしたが上陸できませんでした。伊王島には接岸できるので軍艦島にも接岸できるようにしていただきたいです。
コンシェルジュの船は快適でした。ただ受付時間前に並んで待つのは暑い日は大変でした。

On August 7, after the typhoon, I participated despite the high and small waves.

The wonderful introductory video heightened my excitement before departure.

During the journey, I was captivated by the witty and engaging talk interspersed with precious footage of Nagasaki's World Heritage history.

I was filled with anticipation and excitement for landing.

While many other tours had to give up on landing due to rough waves, the "Gunkanjima Concierge" team skillfully took us to the ancient stage.

I was half resigned to not landing, so when we finally did, I felt like crying.

Thank you very much to the captain and all the staff.

However, I do have a slight criticism regarding my experience...

I arrived around 9 o'clock, thinking I could browse the terminal and merchandise since the reception was at 9:40.

I was told by a staff member to come back at the designated time since it was before reception hours.

Despite this, they were actually accepting guests before the official reception time, and as a result, everyone except those with priority boarding boarded in the order of arrival...

If this happened in Kansai, there would be a riot (laughs).

However, even with that aside, it became an unforgettable memory.

I highly recommend everyone to visit Gunkanjima.

台風一過の８月７日、高波小波に揺られながらも参加させて頂きました

出港前の胸の高まりを煽る、素晴らしいイントロ映像

道中は長崎の世界遺産の歴史を貴重な映像を交えながらの軽妙洒脱なトークに酔いしれました。

否が応にも上陸への期待にワクワクドキドキ

他社のツアーの多くは敢えなく上陸を断念される荒波の中、【軍艦島コンシェルジュ】さんは“プロの腕”にて我々を古のステージへと登らせて下さいました

半ば諦めてたので、上陸出来た時は涙が出そうでした

船長様はじめスタッフの方々、本当にありがとうございました

ただし、体験談だけに苦言めいた事も少々・・・

9時40分受付ということでしたが、ターミナル内の様子やグッズを物色しようかと9時ぐらいに行きました。

受付時間前だとの事で、一旦はスタッフの方から時間を改めて来るように案内されました。

にも関わらず実際は受付時間前からの受付がされていて、結果的に優先乗船の方を除いては受付順に乗船される事に・・・

こういう事を関西でやったら暴動が起きますよ(笑)

しかし、それを差し引いても一生忘れられない思い出になりました

During Golden Week, the tour was very crowded. Because of this, it was quite difficult to get close to Gunkanjima and take photos from the boat due to the number of people. On the day I participated in the tour, the weather was nice, and we were able to land on Gunkanjima. The landing time wasn't very long, but the staff were very kind and took photos for us, which was great.

GWで、ツアーは大混雑でした。そのため、軍艦島に近づいて、船上から島をみたり、写真をとったりするのは、人の多さでなかなか難しかったです。
ツアーに参加した日は、天候もよく、軍艦島に上陸をすることができました。上陸時間はそれほど長くないですが、スタッフの方が写真をとってくれたり、とても親切で良かったです。

I decided to participate in a tour of Gunkanjima, which has become popular since its registration as a World Heritage site, after comparing several options. I made a reservation online for a morning tour combined with a digital museum, and I was able to board with priority on the day of the tour. It was a very valuable experience, as I could listen to the guide's stories during the journey. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

世界遺産登録後人気の軍艦島に参加するため、いくつかのツアーを比較してこちらで参加することにしました。デジタルミュージアムとのセットで、午前中のツアーにネットから事前申し込みしたところ、当日優先乗船できました。移動の間もガイドの方のお話も聞け、とても貴重な体験でした。友人にもおすすめしたいです。

Initially, I planned to go with my parents and younger sister, but just before the trip, my parents came down with pneumonia, so we had to change our plans at the last minute. The staff handled the change in the number of participants smoothly the day before. Since it was a package deal with the digital museum, it was great to have some background knowledge before heading to the island. The guidance on the boat and after landing on the island was clear, and the service was attentive. Next time, I will go with my parents.

最初は両親と妹と4人で行く予定でしたが、直前に両親が肺炎になってしまい急遽予定変更。前日の人数変更もスムーズに対応していただきました。デジタルミュージアムとセットだったので島に行く前に予備知識もでき良かったです。船の中や島に上陸してからの案内もわかりやすく、サービスも行き届いています。次回は両親と一緒に行きます。

I was surprised by the large number of participants, but the ship's facilities seemed to be state-of-the-art, and even from the first-floor seats, we could go out to the deck, so I was fairly satisfied.

参加人数が多くてびっくりしましたが、船の設備などは最新鋭のようで、一階席でもデッキに出ることができたりしたので、まあまあ満足できました。

As described. Well organized and punctual. Staff was cordial and polite. Place is stunning and eerie, definitively a unique place, worldwide, I highly recommend going if you are on the city. The ship itself was comfortable and clean, good as you will spend more time in it than on the island itself (some of which spent circling the island to provide a different view).

I was surprised and moved to discover such a place in Japan, and I learned a lot.

From the formation of the island to life and work there, and the story of the islanders' repatriation, I was able to empathize and understand quite well since I prepared by visiting the museum beforehand.

While on the ferry, I was able to listen to stories from a former islander guide, and it was quite fulfilling to see the island's exterior as we circled around it before landing, as well as to hear more stories after we disembarked.

I'm glad I went.

I have come to love this island, which has been tossed around by the changes in modern Japanese history.

I wished I could have stayed on the island a little longer and seen more, but I understood that there were regulations in place for safety, so I left the island with that in mind.

I highly recommend visiting this island at least once.

日本にこんなところがあるんだと、驚きと感動、勉強をさせて貰いました。

島の成り立ちから、島での生活と仕事、島民の引き揚げまでのストーリーは、ミュージアムで予習をしてから行ったので、かなり感情移入出来、理解も出来ました。

フェリーに乗っている間も元島民ガイドの方からのお話し等を聞くことが出来、上陸までに島を一周して外観を見せて頂いたり、上陸してからのお話しを聞けたりと、かなり充実していました。

行って良かったと思っています。

近現代の日本の歴史の移り変わりに翻弄されたこの島が好きになりました。

もう少し島に滞在したかったのと、もっと色々見たかったのですが、規制があり、安全の為なので仕方ないと思いながら、島を後にしました。

ぜひ一度、この島を訪れてみて下さい。

The sea was calm, without any rocking of the boat. The explanations were easy to understand, and I enjoyed it. I would like to recommend it to my friends.

船が揺れることもなく、穏やかな海でした。説明がわかりやすく、楽しめました。友人にもお勧めしたいと思いました。

In October, a typhoon was approaching, but miraculously, we were able to land. The person who explained everything was very detailed, allowing me to imagine what life was like back then, and I was deeply moved. I felt a renewed sense of gratitude for the people who desperately supported Japan's economy during the Meiji era, despite the hardships of their lives. I was comforted by the way people in this small community find joy and live well.

10月で台風が来ていましたが奇跡的に上陸できました。説明してくれる人がとても詳しく説明してくれたので当時の生活の様子などが想像出来て感動しました。明治時代日本の経済をこの不自由な生活の中で必死に支えてくれていた人々に今更ながら感謝の気持ちが沸いてきました。
狭いながらもこのコミュニティで楽しみを見つけ上手に暮らしている様子に救われました。

I was really surprised by how attentive the staff was to various details. I went with a friend, but I could enjoy it just as much alone without any worries. We had plenty of time to explore from different angles and take lots of photos. When we landed, the gangway to the island was unstable, but several staff members supported us, and they encouraged us to take photos without hesitation. Onboard, the guide's stories, advice to avoid seasickness, and games were all really great.

スタッフの方々が本当にいろいろなことに行き届いていてびっくりしました。
私は友人と行きましたが1人でも心配なく楽しめます。
周遊の時間もいろんな角度からたくさん時間を取ってもらえ撮影もいっぱい出来ました。
上陸の際も島へ降りるタラップが不安定なのですが数人のスタッフの方がサポートしていただけたり、撮影も声をかけてくださいと言っていただき気兼ねなく写真を撮影してもらえました。
船内でもガイドさんのお話や船酔いしないようなアドバイスやゲームなど本当によかったです。

To ensure we could take proper photos of Gunkanjima from the outside, we circled the island before landing. Thanks to that, we were able to capture pictures from the best spots that resemble a battleship. The explanations after landing were also very clear, and there were several guides who showed us photos that matched their explanations and offered to take pictures for us. Additionally, on the return boat, they organized a rock-paper-scissors tournament with Gunkanjima merchandise, which was a lot of fun.

However, one disappointing point was that while it was mentioned that if you combine the digital museum ticket, you would have priority boarding for the boat, there was no detailed explanation of that system. The Gunkanjima Digital Museum opens at 9 AM, and we arrived shortly after 9, but there were already many people inside. It seemed that the boat check-in was happening simultaneously, and we were given something like a number at that time. Since there was no explanation at that point, I thought the boarding order was first-come, first-served, so I quickly went through the museum and headed to the boarding area. It was only there that I learned for the first time that the boarding order was based on the numbers given at the digital museum. If I had known from the beginning, I would have arrived at the digital museum much earlier and could have taken my time to explore it leisurely. I felt that the information on the website and during the reservation process was insufficient, and the staff at the digital museum were not very helpful. This time, I barely made it to the second deck with a number in the late 20s, but if I had known in advance, I would have gone a bit earlier to sit outside on the second deck.

The digital museum itself was great, as people who had lived there in the past shared stories about what it was like back then, allowing us to learn some background knowledge before visiting Gunkanjima.

軍艦島を外からちゃんと写真が撮れるように、軍艦島の周りをまわってから上陸してくれました。
おかげで軍艦にみえるベストスポットより写真を撮ることができました♪
また上陸後の説明も非常にわかりやすく、ガイドのサポートの方も何人かいて、説明に合わせた写真をみせてくれたり、写真を撮ろうかと声をかけてくださったりしてくれました。
また帰りの船の中では軍艦島のグッズをかけたじゃんけん大会をしてくださったりといろいろ楽しませてくださいました。

ただ一点残念だったのが、デジタルミュージアムをセットにすると船を優先的に乗れるとのことだったのですが、そのシステムの詳細説明が全くありませんでした。
軍艦島デジタルミュージアムは9時からの開館で９時過ぎに到着したのですが、すでに中には多くの人がいらっしゃいました。
受付で船の受付も同時だったようなのですが、そこで番号のようなものを渡されました。
その時点では何の説明もなかったため、船に乗る順番は先着順かと思い、ミュージアムの内容は足早に済ませ、船の乗り場にむかいました。
そこで先着に乗る順番はデジタルミュージアムで渡された番号順だと初めて説明されました。
始めから分かっていれば、デジタルミュージアムにつく時間をもっと早めの時間にしましたし、ミュージアム館内も余裕をもってゆっくり見ることができたのになぁと思いました。
事前にHPや予約時の説明が不十分なのと、デジタルミュージアムの受付の方たちが不親切だなと思いました。
今回は20番台後半くらいでギリギリ２階デッキに上ることができましたが、事前に知っていれば、もう少し早く行って２階デッキの外側に座りたかったです。。。

デジタルミュージアム自体は、過去に住まれたことがある方が当時の様子を話してくださったりして、軍艦島に行く前に予備知識を学べてよかったと思います。

After visiting the museum, I participated in a tour where I could virtually experience places that are restricted and cannot be seen in person. Additionally, the staff provided detailed explanations about life during that time, so I recommend it if you have the time. It's also appealing that you can board the tour boat with priority.

During the tour, the staff's friendly smiles were wonderful. The explanations about Gunkanjima were easy to understand, and I had a great experience. Thank you very much!

ミュージアムを見学してからツアーに参加しました　そこでは規制制限で実際に見る事が出来ない場所をバーチャルで体験する事ができます　また当時の生活を館内の方が丁寧に説明して下さるので　時間があればお勧めです　優先的にツアー船に乗船出来るのも魅力です

It was the last day of the three-day weekend, and the weather was clear. The tour was fully booked. After departing, most of the sights to see on the way to Gunkanjima are on the right side, so sitting by the right window makes it easier to see. At Gunkanjima, the staff turned the boat around twice so that everyone could take photos easily, regardless of which side they were sitting on. The guide that day used to work on the island and shared stories about what the island was like back then, mixed with humor. Overall, it was a very satisfying tour.

３連休の最終日でお天気は快晴、ツアーは満席でした。出航してから軍艦島までは、ほとんどの見所は右側にありますので、右の窓際に座ると見やすいです。軍艦島ではどちら側の席の方も写真が撮りやすいよう、向きを変えて島を２周してくださいました。その日のガイドさんは昔、島でお仕事をされていた方で、当時の島の様子をユーモアを交えてお話して下さいました。全てにおいて、大満足のツアーでした。

Inside Gunkanjima, there are fences separating areas, and the staff show photos of the buildings and the way of life at that time. I didn't have enough time to go, but I wish I had gone to the museum first.

軍艦島の中は柵で仕切られていて、建物の中や当時の生活のようすなどはスタッフの方々が写真で見せてくれます。
時間の余裕がなかったので行けませんでしたが、ミュージアムに先に行けばよかったと思いました。

It was cloudy on the day of the tour! Just barely safe. Since it was a weekday, I thought it would be less crowded, but there were a lot of people (laughs). It seems like it coincided with a tour for older folks. I was hoping for sunny weather for the tour, but the cloudy skies were actually nice. The atmosphere of Hashima Island was brought to its peak, and I was deeply moved★ I felt a bit unsatisfied because there were quite a few restrictions on where we could go, but it can't be helped. That's not the tour company's fault. I'm always grateful to Veltra. If they could pursue the lowest prices for the tours, it would be even better★

当日は曇り！ギリギリセーフ。平日だったので、空いてるかとおもいきや、すごい人(笑)おじちゃんおばちゃんのツアーと重なったみたいです。ツアーは晴れろーと思ってましたが、曇りでよかったです。端島の雰囲気が最高潮に引き出されて感慨無量です★行けるとこがかなり制限されてるとこが少し物足りないかんはありましたが、しょうがないですね。それはツアー会社関係ないので。いつもベルトラさんにはおせわになってます。ツアーの最安値を追求していってくれればもっと最高です★

It is now completely in ruins, but when you land on the island and explore various sights, strangely enough, you can't help but think back to that time. It's curious how you can feel the breath of life from the residents of that era, almost as if you can visualize it. After the visit, I went to the nearby Gunkanjima Museum, and I think it would be better to visit this place first before joining the Gunkanjima tour.

今は、すっかり廃墟となっていますが、島に上陸して、いろいろと観て廻ると、・・・不思議と
当時に想いをはせてしまいます。不思議なことに、当時の住民の生活の息吹が感じられ、目に
浮かんでくるような・・・。
見学後、近くにある、軍艦島ミュージアムに行ったのですが、先にこちらをみてから、軍艦島ツアーに参加した方が良いかと思います。

The weather was nice on the day of the visit, and I thought we would be able to land since there were no waves at the departure point. However, as we got closer to Gunkanjima, the waves became higher, and although we made it to the docking point, we ultimately could not land. That said, I was satisfied because we were able to take plenty of photos of Gunkanjima from both the right and left sides of the boat, and I learned about the island through a DVD on the way there. It's important to be cautious as seasickness is almost certain when you're busy taking photos.

参加日は天気がよく、出航場所は波がなかったので上陸できるものだと思っていました。
しかし軍艦島に近づいていくにつれて波が高くなっていき、接岸までしたのですが結局上陸はできませんでした。
ただ、軍艦島の外観は船の右側からでも左側からでもたっぷり写真を撮れるように船をまわしていただき、軍艦島に向かう途中のDVDで島についての勉強もできたので満足です。
船酔いは写真を撮っているとほぼ確実におこるので注意が必要です。

Once we landed, I found that the area we could explore was surprisingly limited, and it was better to see the whole thing from the ship. Since I joined right after arriving at Nagasaki Airport, it was helpful that they took care of my suitcase. There are other cruises available, but I think this one was the most popular. The guide was someone who used to live there, so the stories were interesting.

上陸したら、意外と回れる範囲が限られていて、船から見ている方が全体を見渡せて良かったです。
長崎空港からすぐに参加したので、スーツケースを預かってもらえて助かりました。
他にもクルーズされていますが、ここが一番人気だったと思います。
ガイドさんは昔住んでいた方だったので話も面白かったです。

The day I had a reservation was canceled due to high waves, but I was able to get on the waiting list for the next day. It was a warm day for February, and the view was fantastic. The guide's explanations were easy to understand, and it truly became a wonderful memory.

予約した日は、高波で欠航になってしまいましたが、翌日のキャンセル待ちに入れ、この日は、2月にしては、暖かい日で、最高の眺めでした。ガイドさんの説明も分かりやすくて、本当に良い思い出になりました。

It seems that landing is not possible when the sea is rough, but on the day of our visit (early December), the weather was clear and relatively warm. The approximately 40-minute boat ride went smoothly, and I was able to take many beautiful photos. The guide's explanations were thorough and easy to understand, which was very informative. The boat is two stories, and the upper deck has an open deck with seating. It seems that the deck is quite popular, so it's best to arrive early to secure a seat.

海が荒れると上陸できないらしいのですが、当日（12月上旬）は晴天で比較的暖かく、約40分の船旅も順調で、きれいな写真もたくさん撮れました。
ガイドさんの案内も丁寧で分かりやすく勉強になりました。
船は2階建てで上の階はオープンデッキ（イスあり)です。
デッキは人気があるようなので、早めに行って席を確保した方がいいです。

Actually, I signed up about four months before it became a World Heritage site, and it was a great decision.

First of all, you can't get there on your own. Many tours can be done solo, but it's a hassle, so you might as well join a tour. However, in this case, it's impossible to go by yourself.

During the limited time, there were lectures, and efforts were made to keep us entertained even on the boat.

Although the time on the island was also limited, there was a certain amount of free time (just enough for taking photos), making it a very fulfilling tour.

実は世界遺産になる前、4ヶ月ほど前に申し込んでいたのですが、大正解でした。
まず、ここは自力では行けません。多くのツアーはなんとか一人でも行けるけど面倒だからツアーに乗っかってしまえ、というものですが、これに限っては自力では無理です。

限られた時間の中で講習、船の中でも退屈させないよう工夫がされておりました。

島内ではこちらも限られた時間ながら、ある程度の自由時間（撮影タイム程度ですが）もあり、非常に充実したツアーでした。

We were blessed with great weather and thoroughly enjoyed Gunkanjima! The guide's explanations and the onboard DVD were both interesting. We had a great time without getting bored, both after landing and on the boat. I was a bit worried about bringing my kids (ages 8, 5, and 2), but they helped a lot by securing seats at the back to prevent seasickness and even kept my hat that I forgot in my seat! If I have the chance to go again, I would definitely use this service.

天気に恵まれ軍艦島を満喫できました！
ガイドさんの説明も、船中DVDも面白かったです。
上陸後はもちろん、船中も暇することなく楽しめました。
子連れで（8歳、5歳、2歳）不安でしたが、船酔い予防のために後方座席を確保してくれたり、座席に忘れて帽子を預かっていれくれたりと非常に助かりました！
また行くことがあれば、利用したいです。
