I was really surprised by how attentive the staff was to various details. I went with a friend, but I could enjoy it just as much alone without any worries. We had plenty of time to explore from different angles and take lots of photos. When we landed, the gangway to the island was unstable, but several staff members supported us, and they encouraged us to take photos without hesitation. Onboard, the guide's stories, advice to avoid seasickness, and games were all really great.

私は友人と行きましたが1人でも心配なく楽しめます。

To ensure we could take proper photos of Gunkanjima from the outside, we circled the island before landing. Thanks to that, we were able to capture pictures from the best spots that resemble a battleship. The explanations after landing were also very clear, and there were several guides who showed us photos that matched their explanations and offered to take pictures for us. Additionally, on the return boat, they organized a rock-paper-scissors tournament with Gunkanjima merchandise, which was a lot of fun.

However, one disappointing point was that while it was mentioned that if you combine the digital museum ticket, you would have priority boarding for the boat, there was no detailed explanation of that system. The Gunkanjima Digital Museum opens at 9 AM, and we arrived shortly after 9, but there were already many people inside. It seemed that the boat check-in was happening simultaneously, and we were given something like a number at that time. Since there was no explanation at that point, I thought the boarding order was first-come, first-served, so I quickly went through the museum and headed to the boarding area. It was only there that I learned for the first time that the boarding order was based on the numbers given at the digital museum. If I had known from the beginning, I would have arrived at the digital museum much earlier and could have taken my time to explore it leisurely. I felt that the information on the website and during the reservation process was insufficient, and the staff at the digital museum were not very helpful. This time, I barely made it to the second deck with a number in the late 20s, but if I had known in advance, I would have gone a bit earlier to sit outside on the second deck.

The digital museum itself was great, as people who had lived there in the past shared stories about what it was like back then, allowing us to learn some background knowledge before visiting Gunkanjima.

また帰りの船の中では軍艦島のグッズをかけたじゃんけん大会をしてくださったりといろいろ楽しませてくださいました。

ただ一点残念だったのが、デジタルミュージアムをセットにすると船を優先的に乗れるとのことだったのですが、そのシステムの詳細説明が全くありませんでした。
軍艦島デジタルミュージアムは9時からの開館で９時過ぎに到着したのですが、すでに中には多くの人がいらっしゃいました。
受付で船の受付も同時だったようなのですが、そこで番号のようなものを渡されました。
その時点では何の説明もなかったため、船に乗る順番は先着順かと思い、ミュージアムの内容は足早に済ませ、船の乗り場にむかいました。
そこで先着に乗る順番はデジタルミュージアムで渡された番号順だと初めて説明されました。
始めから分かっていれば、デジタルミュージアムにつく時間をもっと早めの時間にしましたし、ミュージアム館内も余裕をもってゆっくり見ることができたのになぁと思いました。
事前にHPや予約時の説明が不十分なのと、デジタルミュージアムの受付の方たちが不親切だなと思いました。
今回は20番台後半くらいでギリギリ２階デッキに上ることができましたが、事前に知っていれば、もう少し早く行って２階デッキの外側に座りたかったです。。。

デジタルミュージアム自体は、過去に住まれたことがある方が当時の様子を話してくださったりして、軍艦島に行く前に予備知識を学べてよかったと思います。

It was cloudy on the day of the tour! Just barely safe. Since it was a weekday, I thought it would be less crowded, but there were a lot of people (laughs). The weather was nice on the day of the visit, and I thought we would be able to land since there were no waves at the departure point. However, as we got closer to Gunkanjima, the waves became higher, and although we made it to the docking point, we ultimately could not land. Once we landed, I found that the area we could explore was surprisingly limited, and it was better to see the whole thing from the ship. Since I joined right after arriving at Nagasaki Airport, it was helpful that they took care of my suitcase. There are other cruises available, but I think this one was the most popular. The guide was someone who used to live there, so the stories were interesting.

We were blessed with great weather and thoroughly enjoyed Gunkanjima! The guide's explanations and the onboard DVD were both interesting. We had a great time without getting bored, both after landing and on the boat. I was a bit worried about bringing my kids (ages 8, 5, and 2), but they helped a lot by securing seats at the back to prevent seasickness and even kept my hat that I forgot in my seat! If I have the chance to go again, I would definitely use this service.

天気に恵まれ軍艦島を満喫できました！
ガイドさんの説明も、船中DVDも面白かったです。
上陸後はもちろん、船中も暇することなく楽しめました。
子連れで（8歳、5歳、2歳）不安でしたが、船酔い予防のために後方座席を確保してくれたり、座席に忘れて帽子を預かっていれくれたりと非常に助かりました！

I took advantage of Golden Week to travel to Nagasaki. I checked out experiences and blogs and decided to go with "Gunkanjima Concierge," which has large ships. We started our day by sightseeing at Dejima, and when we arrived 20 minutes before check-in, there were already a lot of people! I thought it was more crowded than I imagined, and it turned out that there were reporters there due to the UNESCO World Heritage Site recommendation received the day before.

We boarded a fully booked ship and first celebrated the UNESCO World Heritage Site recommendation together. The atmosphere was uplifting as we set sail. My daughter, who gets motion sickness easily, and I were fully prepared with my Sea-Band and anti-nausea medication. Fortunately, we were blessed with good weather, and it was a calm day with no whitecaps, so almost no one, including us, felt seasick. During the ride, we enjoyed VTRs, stories from the guide, and a rock-paper-scissors tournament, which kept us entertained. Thank you for the wonderful time.

Seeing Hashima Island from the sea looked like a real battleship, and since we circled around, we were able to take many photos. Upon landing, the imposing ruins and the blue sky were striking. The buildings are quite dilapidated, so we couldn't go inside, but we could stroll along a walkway-like observation course. The guide shared detailed stories using photos from that time, which helped us understand what life was like back then.

One disappointment was that, because it was the day after the recommendation, there were many reporters, and the sound of helicopters overhead diminished the solemn atmosphere. (My daughter was happy because she appeared briefly on the news.) It seems that it will get even busier now that it has gained attention as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so I recommend making reservations early.

想像以上に混み合っているなとおもったら、前日に世界遺産勧告をうけての報道陣の方もいらっしゃいました。

満席の船に乗船し、まずは世界遺産の勧告をみんなで祝福。高揚した雰囲気での出航となりました。
車酔いしやすい娘と私、MYシーバンドと酔い止めで準備万端。
幸いお天気に恵まれ白波も全くたたない穏やかな日でしたので、私たちふくめ酔っている方はほとんどいませんでした。
乗船中、VTRやガイドの方のお話、じゃんけん大会で飽きることなく過ごせたのもよかったのだと思います。楽しい時間をありがとうございました。

海上から見る端島は本物の軍艦のようで、周遊していただいたので写真をたくさん撮影できました。上陸すると朽ちた建物の威圧感と空の青さが印象的でした。
かなり老朽化しているので中には入れず、遊歩道のような見学コースのみの散策ですが、ガイドのかたが当時の写真などを用いて丁寧にお話していただいたので当時の生活の様子がわかりました。

残念だったのは、勧告翌日のため報道陣が多く、上空にはヘリの旋回音で荘厳な気持ちが半減してしまったことです。（娘はちらっとニュースに写っていたので喜んでましたが）
世界遺産で脚光を浴びたらますます混みそうですのでお早めの予約をおすすめします。

There were probably only 2 to 3 people, including myself, in a nearly full capacity. As we set out beyond the bay, there was a wave warning predicting wave heights of 2 to 3 meters, and it got quite rocky right away. It was tough waiting on the pier while being tossed around. The staff was quite attentive. Although it was very windy and cold on Gunkanjima, I was glad to see it. Next time, I want to go when the waves are calm and we can dock in a position where we can see the entire view of Hashima.

ほぼ満席の中で一人は私を含めて恐らく2～3人程度だったかと思います。予報で波の高さが2～3メートルの波浪注意報が出ている状態で、湾の外に出たとたんにかなり揺れました。桟橋の順番待ちで揺られてる時がキツかったです。スタッフの方が結構気を配っていました。軍艦島自体は風の吹き付けがすごくて、寒かったですが見られて良かったです。次は波が穏やかで、端島の全景が見える位置で停泊出来る時に行きたいです。

This tour allows free cancellation until 12 PM the day before, so I was able to book it with peace of mind. Although it was originally a tour on a boat with a capacity of 130 people, due to inspections, we had to use a smaller boat with a capacity of 45 people. (Since the speed was slower than usual, we had to gather 15 minutes earlier.) I was a bit anxious because I thought a larger boat would be less rocky, but I was able to participate without getting seasick, probably because I took motion sickness medication.

There were probably around 40 people, so the boat felt cramped and crowded. It was difficult to move around to take photos, but I imagine it’s usually more spacious.

The guide, who had actually lived and worked on Gunkanjima, shared stories from that time, which made it interesting.

I participated alone, but the staff kindly offered to take photos for us each time we moved, so I was able to ask them to take my picture several times. Thank you very much. I was the only woman participating alone, but there were several men with large DSLRs taking lots of photos. Most participants seemed to be friends, families, or couples.

Since I joined in the afternoon, when we returned and saw the entire view of Gunkanjima, it was backlit, and the silhouette stood out. The photos I took from inside the island turned out bright.

通常130名定員の船でのツアーだったのに、検査のため急きょ45名定員の小さい船となりました。(スピードが通常より遅いため15分前集合でした)大きい船の方が揺れないイメージがあったので不安でしたが、酔い止めを飲んで参加したためか酔わずに参加できました。
たぶん40人近くいたので船は狭くてぎゅうぎゅう。写真を撮りに移動するのも困難でしたが、通常はもっとゆったりなんだろうな。

解説をして下さった方が実際に軍艦島に住んで働いていたということで、当時の話も交えながらだったので面白かったです。

1人参加でしたが、スタッフさんが移動の都度「シャッター押します」と声をかけていたので何度かお願いして写真にうつることができました。ありがとうございました。女性の1人参加は私だけでしたが、男性は大きな一眼レフを持ってきてバシバシ撮っている方が何人かいました。大部分は友人同士や大人ファミリー、カップルという感じ。

午後参加だったので、帰りに軍艦島の全景を見たときは逆光で、シルエットが際立つ感じがしました。近づいて島の中から撮った写真は明るく取れたのものが多かったです。

I initially planned to participate on the 17th (in the morning), but a week prior, I checked the weather conditions and booked an afternoon flight after arriving in Nagasaki from Tokyo. It was a tour that made me think, "I'm so glad I did this!" It was the main purpose of my trip to Nagasaki, so I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Additionally, since there is a possibility of tour cancellations or the landing on Gunkanjima being canceled due to weather, I recommend that those who plan to participate in the future gather information beforehand before making a reservation.

当初17日（午前）に参加を予定していましたが1週間前に天気状況を確認し、東京から長崎に到着後の午後便を予約しました。「良かった!!」と思えるツアーでした。長崎の旅行の最大の目的でしたので、非常に達成感がありました。尚、天候によってツアーの欠航や軍艦島上陸の中止もあり得るので今後参加される方は事前に情報をとってから予約された方が良いと思います。
