This was my first time boarding. It swayed more than I expected, but the private room was comfortable without worrying about others.
However, there was one issue... At the Hakata Port ticket counter on the way, I showed my voucher and received a ticket, but it was only for one way... Upon checking, I was told that although I had made a round-trip reservation and payment, the return trip was not secured. Huh? What does that mean? Since it was nighttime at the Hakata counter, I couldn't get assistance and was told to confirm at the reservation counter during business hours the next day. Feeling anxious, I boarded the ship. When I called the next day to confirm, they said it was a confirmation error... Fortunately, since there was a private room available, I was able to board the return trip without any issues, but I wonder what would have happened if it had been fully booked. I was thinking of taking the jet foil, but since I would just be sleeping once I returned to Nagasaki city, I decided to take it easy and change my plans. The inside of the boat wasn't too crowded, but there were still some passengers. I felt it was about half tourists and half locals. Wi-Fi is available, but the signal isn't great... I took the jet foil from Nagasaki Port to Fukue Port, and for the return trip, I boarded the ferry. Since it was a long journey, I was worried about seasickness, but I didn't feel sick at all on the way there, so I was able to board with peace of mind, thinking that I would be fine on the way back as well. The large ship had a spacious interior where I could lie down comfortably, and there were blankets and pillows available. Most importantly, there were very few people, which made it pleasant. I was able to relax, watch TV, and sleep. Although it took longer than the jet foil, the fare was cheaper, and I enjoyed the leisurely experience.
