The weather was rainy, and with the foggy scenery, we arrived at Fukue Port with low expectations. We utilized the regular sightseeing bus for an efficient tour around the island in the limited time we had! The guide's explanations were easy to understand, making for a comfortable journey on the bus! Each time we visited a landmark, the rain stopped, and the fog cleared, allowing us to enjoy the scenery, albeit just a little. Unfortunately, we weren't blessed with the clear weather to see the blue of Goto, which was disappointing. The transparent blue of the sea and the blue of the sky will have to wait for next time! While the scenery was disappointing, the food at the hotel where we stayed was very delicious and helped heal our travel fatigue. We also enjoyed dishes made with local ingredients. As a fan of alcohol, I savored the blissful moments with Goto sweet potato shochu and Goto grape wine (finished a whole bottle). The next morning, we returned from Fukue Port. I highly recommend the tempura from Hamaguchi Suisan as a souvenir! Enjoying the assorted five types with a beer while leisurely admiring the scenery on the boat is the best! Also, make sure not to forget the thick and plentiful Onisaba sushi; the bus guide highly recommended it, saying it was absolutely delicious, and it truly was exquisite!
