In the morning, we had a snorkeling experience at Balas Island where we encountered a sea turtle swimming close to us—a truly precious experience! In the afternoon, we canoed through the mangroves and tropical plants, culminating in canyoning at the waterfall. Every moment was extraordinary and unforgettable. Additionally, Kengo's guide about Iriomote Island was very interesting, making the travel time enjoyable. Thanks to this, our long-awaited Iriomote Island tour turned out to be amazing.

I participated in a mangrove kayaking and snorkeling tour at Barasu Island. The day before the tour, I received a confirmation call, and on the day of the tour, they picked me up from my hotel and took me to the port. I met the other participants and our guide, Yoshi, and we started with the mangrove tour. During the bus ride, Yoshi shared a lot of information about Iriomote Island, which made the travel time exciting.

Before the mangrove tour, we received a thorough briefing on how to paddle the kayak, allowing us to enjoy the experience very safely! We were able to feel the negative ions while being surrounded by waterfalls and forests. After a lunch break, we headed to Barasu Island for snorkeling in the afternoon. Here too, Yoshi and the staff provided great support, allowing us to explore the beautiful sea safely and create wonderful summer memories. On my second visit to Iriomote Island, I was finally able to land on Barasu Island, which I had longed to visit. However, I received a notice the day before that the cave experience was canceled due to not enough participants, and it was replaced with snorkeling, which my partner was disappointed about (but I was lucky because I actually wanted to go snorkeling, haha). We were able to see three sea turtles, and thanks to our guide Matsuko-san's attentive guidance, we had a fun day. I would give it five stars, but since it was different from my initial booking, I will give it four stars. Overall, I was very satisfied with the tour.

西表島２回目にして、念願のバラス島に上陸することが出来ました。ただ前日に鍾乳洞体験が人数が集まらない為、中止との連絡が来て、シュノーケリングに代替になり、相方が残念がっていました(実は自分はシュノーケリングしたかったのでラッキー笑)しかしウミガメも３頭も見れたし、ガイドのまつ子さんの丁寧な案内で楽しく一日過ごすことができました。私としては星５つですが、やはり最初の申し込みとは変更になってしまったので星４つとさせていただきます。ツアーとしては大満足でした。

This was my first visit to Iriomote Island! Since my hotel was on Ishigaki Island, I wanted to make the most of my time on Iriomote Island until the last ferry, so I joined a tour with pipi.

I had originally booked a course to the Phantom Island and a limestone cave, but I was informed the day before that the course to the Phantom Island was canceled, so I had to change my plans. I was a bit disappointed, but in the morning, we canoed or paddle boarded through the mangrove forest and trekked to the Lucky Waterfall, and in the afternoon, we enjoyed a full day of canyoning. In the end, it turned out to be an incredibly fun day!

I participated with my child, and since my child was the only one, I was a bit worried about being a burden, but thanks to our guide Mao, we were able to complete all the activities without any issues. She taught us a lot about the mangroves and animals of Iriomote Island, and even shared how to spend a private day there, which showed her love for the island!

Last year, I was also taken care of by pipi in Miyako Island, and the guides were really welcoming and created a great atmosphere among the group, making it easy for families with small children to join.

Thank you for helping us create so many wonderful memories this time too! Next time, I’ll come wearing my Gyo-san sandals! (laughs)

西表島初上陸♪ホテルは石垣島だったので、最終の船までの時間ギュッと西表島を満喫したくて、pipiさんのツアーに参加させてもらいました^_^
幻の島と鍾乳洞のコースを予約していましたが、前日に幻の島へのコースは中止と連絡をもらい、コース変更。。。
残念だな〜と思ってましたが、午前中はマングローブの森をカヌーorサップとトレッキングで幸運の滝を目指し、午後はキャニオニングの１日ほんとに満喫のコースで、結果サイコーに楽しい１日になりました！
今回、子供を連れての参加で、子供はうちの子1人だったので、足手纏いにならないか少し心配でしたが、ガイドのまおさんのリードのおかげで、全ての工程を難なくクリアできました♪
たくさん西表島のマングローブや動物達の事を教えてくれたり、プライベートの日の過ごし方まで教えてくれたり、西表島愛が伝わりました！

昨年も、宮古島でpipiさんにお世話になりましたが、ガイドの方がほんとアットホームな感じで迎えて下さり、一緒に参加される方々とのグループのいい雰囲気作りもして下さるので、小さい子供連れでも安心して参加できます！
今回も、いい思い出をたくさん作ってもらい、ありがとうございます！
次は、ギョサン履いて遊びに行きますー！笑

I was worried about the rain since it can start during the rainy season, but it was cloudy and sunny every day, so I was glad it didn't rain!

Since it was my first time on Iriomote Island, I definitely wanted to go canoeing while seeing the mangroves, and after some consideration, I booked this course.

Canoeing, seeing the waterfall, and snorkeling made for a packed and fun experience! I wished we could have gone to one more snorkeling spot. I wanted to swim more!

All the guides were fun and provided appropriate guidance. If I had to say one thing, as a photography enthusiast, I felt that the guides had different senses when it came to taking photos. I'm grateful that they took pictures for us.

I would love to experience Iriomote Island again at a leisurely pace.

西表島は初なので、絶対マングローブを見ながらカヌーをしたいと思い、迷った結果こちらのコースを予約しました。
カヌーをして、滝を見て、シュノーケルもして盛りだくさんで楽しかったです！
シュノーケルはもう1ヶ所ポイントへ行けたら嬉しいのになぁと思いました。もっと泳ぎたかった！

I had a stand-up paddleboarding experience and went snorkeling at Balas Island! It was my first time on a SUP, but we moved slowly together, making it a fun experience! They also shared knowledge about the Iriomote wildcat and nature, allowing us to really connect with the environment!

I was a bit anxious since it was my first time doing SUP and snorkeling, but the guide was very attentive and I had a great time! Even though I was the only one participating among many pairs, I had no issues at all. During the SUP, we were taken to a waterfall basin, which was deep enough that I couldn't touch the bottom, but I could swim and enjoy the waterfall experience! I was nervous about snorkeling for the first time, but I was able to get used to it while holding onto the guide's float board.

Bara Island was a bit painful to walk on due to the heels, but it was a stunning island made of rare coral, with only two in the world! The view was breathtaking! There were plenty of fish and coral, and the deep trenches expanded the underwater world for sure. I was really glad to participate, especially since it had been 3 to 4 weeks since the last landing! The guide took lots of photos and videos, so I could safely leave my smartphone in the car.

Next time, I’d like to try the limestone caves and sea turtle snorkeling as well! Thank you for your thoughtful care; I enjoyed every moment!

I wanted to experience activities on Iriomote Island and also go snorkeling at Barasu Island, so I made a reservation here. Since it was a trip during the New Year holidays, I was informed that restaurants and supermarkets around the meeting point at the port would be closed, and that there might not be any bento available at the supermarket during the New Year. We did canyoning in the morning and mangrove canoeing in the afternoon. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, to the point that you wouldn't believe they were a newcomer.

私たちは午前キャニオニング、午後マングローブカヌーでした。
ガイドさんは移住者とは思えないぐらいに知識が豊富な方でした。

アクティビティ毎にシャワーを浴びることができ、体が温まりました。

マリンシューズは貸してもらえますが、到着後返却して自分の履物に履き替えることになるので、濡れてもいいビーサンなどがあるといいと思いました。
写真も沢山撮ってもらえて、自分たちでは撮れない素敵な写真ばかりでした。（写真はLINEに送ってもらえます）

After considering it, I got back to them. When I followed up, I was told that caving was also available, so I requested that tour, but there was no explanation about the pricing at that time, and after the tour, I was charged 12,000 yen per person. 折り返しした際、ケイビングもできるとのお話でそちらのツアーをお願いしましたがその際料金についての説明はなく、ツアー後1人12,000円を請求されました。7,000円程度実施できるとの認識だった為、料金変更が場合はしっかり説明頂きたかったです。
また、バラス島上陸できない旨の連絡があった後別のツアー会社を予約したところしバラス島への上陸、シュノーケリングの実施ができました。

洞窟探検、カヌー時に生き物の紹介や西表島の紹介をして頂けた点はとても面白く楽しかったですが、当日のツアーも人数が多く、狭い場所での写真撮影はどこで待ってたら良いのか、カヌーで進みながら写真を撮る際にに後ろがつっかえて後ろから突っ込まれたりとしたのでしっかり指示、案内をして頂きたかったのと、ホテル送迎時刻を16:30と伝えられていたが実際到着したのは17:15頃でした。
同じグループの港行きのシャワーを待ち、港に送迎後ホテルに送迎され、
その後の予定もあったので大幅に変更になる際は事務所に多数のスタッフもいた為、ご配慮頂けたら嬉しかったです。

The mangroves and snorkeling were both breathtaking. The emerald-colored sea, the colorful coral reefs, and the mysterious mangroves created a scene that felt like something out of a travel guidebook. Our guide, Matsuko, provided clear explanations, and even though it was my first time kayaking and snorkeling, I was able to enjoy it as a beginner. The guide was very kind, ensuring that we could safely enjoy the marine sports. I was also very happy that they took photos and sent the data to us. Thank you very much.

マングローブも、シュノーケリングも絶景でした。
エメラルド色の海ら色とりどりのサンゴ礁、神秘的なマングローブ、観光ガイド本でしか見たことのないような、光景がそこには広がっていました。
ガイドのまつこさんの説明はわかりやすく、カヌーもシュノーケルリングも初めてだったのですが、初心者でも楽しむことが出来ました。
ガイドさんが、親切して下さり、安心安全に、マリンスポーツを楽しむことができました。

The staff (Kaz) was easy to talk to and explained everything politely, which was great! It became a very enjoyable memory! I'm glad we took a lot of photos. If I had to say something, I wish I could have taken a photo with a sea turtle, haha.
