Before the canoe experience, I was suggested to wear rain pants, which was great because it kept my backside dry during the activity.
Also, during the canoe experience on the Higa River, I was worried about the river's current, but while paddling upstream, we stopped at key points for explanations about the mangroves and the scenery. There were also breaks to avoid fatigue from paddling, and the explanations were very well done, making it a fantastic experience.

また、比嘉川でのカヌー体験で、川の流れが心配だったが、上流へのカヌー進行では、マングローブや景色説明で要所要所で止まっての説明があり、カヌーを漕ぎ疲れを回避する休息もあり、説明も上手くて大変良かった。
パドルの使い方を良く聞いて漕いで下さい。

Despite the ferry from Uehara Port being canceled and some worries about the wind, once we entered the mangroves, the wind wasn't much of an issue, and we were able to leisurely enjoy nature! It was my first time canoeing, but thanks to the guide's support, I felt at ease!
The mangroves, mountains, and sky! The weather wasn't great, but the scenery was truly healing.
On the bus to Yubu Island in the afternoon, we had a fun time talking about Iriomote Island. While being pulled by the water buffalo, I was charmed by its lovely eyes as we made our way to Yubu Island. I enjoyed a relaxing time surrounded by flowers and butterflies. On the way back, we sang island songs with the sanshin, which really got everyone excited.
It was a one-day tour of Iriomote Island, but it went by in a flash and was so much fun! I'm glad I participated in the tour!
上原港のフェリーが欠航する中、風もあり心配したがマングローブの中に入ると風の影響もさほどなく自然をのんびり満喫することができた！カヌーも初めてだったが、ガイドの方のフォローもあり安心！
マングローブと山と空！天気はイマイチだったがホントに癒される風景。
午後からの由布島に行くまでのバスの中でも西表島について話をしてくれて楽しい時間だった。
水牛の愛らしい目に癒されながら引っ張ってもらい由布島へ。
花々や蝶々に囲まれながらゆっくりした時間を楽しめた。帰りの水牛の中では三線で島唄を歌ってくれて盛り上がった。
西表島１日ツアーだったが、あっという間で楽しかった！ツアーに参加して良かった！

I participated in a snorkeling tour! Due to the weather, I received a call the day before informing me that the tour would be held at a different location instead of the Blue Cave. I felt that the explanation was thorough in advance, and I was able to participate with understanding, which showed a very polite and sincere approach.
On the day of the tour, there were two staff members for six participants, and since we wore life jackets, I felt safe and enjoyed myself. During snorkeling, I appreciated the attentive care as they kept an eye on the entire group and checked in with each person individually. They supported us a lot by letting us pick up shells and taking pictures of us!
Under the sea, I was able to see fish and coral, and I think it was a valuable experience that I wouldn't normally have. Although it was a bit disappointing not to go to the Blue Cave, I had such a fun and fulfilling time that I forgot all about it.

This was my second experience. This year, the weather was clear, and the sea was beautiful—it was the best!
It was my first time trying stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), but the guidance from the not-so-25-year-old guy was excellent, and time flew by while having fun. Thank you to the blonde guy for the beautiful photos as well.
The second visit to the Pumpkin Cave was magical and a time for purification. I enjoyed the stories from the not-so-25-year-old guy, and he was great at taking photos too! Everyone was kind, and I was able to have a wonderful time.
I made great memories with my family this year as well. I would love to come back next year! Thank you very much.

My sister and I, both in our twenties, experienced snorkeling and the Pumpkin Cave. Unfortunately, the sky was cloudy, but we were able to see a variety of colorful fish, sea turtles, and clownfish underwater, making it enjoyable despite the weather.
After snorkeling, we took a short break and headed to the Pumpkin Cave. We traveled to the entrance of the cave by canoe, and it was fun to paddle together as sisters, providing a nice workout.
Once inside the cave, the clarity of the water was even more beautiful, and I was truly moved. I was surprised to hear that we would be climbing the pumpkin stalagmite right in front of us during the exploration, but our energetic guide provided excellent support, allowing even someone like me, who doesn't exercise much, to make progress. Inside the cave, we were able to see the beautiful formations created by nature over many years up close, making it an unforgettable memory of our time in Miyako Island.

洞内に入ると、透明度の高い海が一層美しく見え、感動しました。鍾乳洞を探検するにあたって、目の前のパンプキン鍾乳石をよじ登ると聞いて驚きましたが、体力のあるガイドさんが手厚くサポートしてくださり、運動不足の自分でも何とか進むことができました。洞内は、自然が長い年月をかけて作り出した、美しい地形を間近で見ることができ、宮古島での忘れられない思い出となりました。

I made a reservation for the Pumpkin Cave & Sea Kayaking + Sea Turtle Snorkeling. In February, my friend who was joining me had never really played in the ocean before, so I was a bit worried about whether it would be okay. The weather on the day was perfect, and the blue cave looked absolutely beautiful, which was truly moving. It was a very special experience to feel the mysteries of nature up close.
Our guide, Mako, was very cheerful and approachable, making the conversation enjoyable, and the atmosphere throughout the tour was fun. Her explanations were easy to understand, allowing us to participate with peace of mind. She was also very attentive to the children, which was really helpful.
During snorkeling, we saw a lot of fish, and it was so exciting! The underwater world was even more beautiful than I had imagined, and I was very satisfied.
After that, we participated in a mangrove canoe tour. Our guide, Sugi, explained the ecology and characteristics of the mangroves in a very easy-to-understand way, which was very educational. Spending time in nature was truly refreshing and revitalizing for the soul.

The tour to Barasu Island was canceled due to the sea weather, but in the morning, I went to Yufu Island. There was a brief moment of sunshine, and while riding the water buffalo, the sun reflected off the waves, creating a beautiful scene. There were also places where we could take pictures with the water buffalo, and I enjoyed looking at the blooming flowers and walking along the beach. A quick stroll around Yufu Island allowed me to see everything within the time limit. It was just perfect for a leisurely walk.
In the afternoon, the mangrove canoeing was quite an adventure! The river leading into the mangrove forest had surprisingly strong winds (I think this was due to the weather on that day, haha). Once we entered the mangroves, it felt mystical; it was definitely worth the visit. On the way back, everyone from the tour worked together to cross the river (a collaborative effort right at the start of the new year).
It was a tour where I could feel the power and grandeur of nature. Overall, I had a great time!

I was most looking forward to the Pumpkin Cave in Miyako Island. First, we paddled for about 15 minutes in a kayak, making our way through the incredibly clear sea towards the cave.
As we entered through the small opening, we were greeted by a mystical space. Our guide, Hide, provided a rope for us to climb up to the top of the cave, and the adventure began.
The giant pumpkin-shaped stalactite was so impressive and powerful that it was hard to believe it was created by nature; it took my breath away. After exploring inside the cave, we finished by diving into the sea from the stalactite!
The height and thrill were enough to make my legs tremble, but the exhilaration of jumping in was exceptional, refreshing both my mind and body in an instant.
There were some unstable spots, but thanks to Hide's careful and reassuring support, it became the best experience where I could enjoy myself without worry. This is an activity that will remain a lifelong memory!

The weather was perfect, making for an amazing day. I am very grateful to our guides, Macchan and Sugichan, for providing such a fun time! During the mangrove tour, we were able to see a crested serpent eagle flying very close and hear its calls clearly. I was worried about whether I could paddle in the canoe since it was my first time, but they taught us very patiently, and my daughter and I managed just fine. You will get wet from the waist down, but you get used to it quickly. Even though it's February, the weather was so nice, and I was surprised by the strength of the sunlight. I regretted not being more prepared for sunburn. The cuteness of the water buffalo was healing. I couldn't help but laugh at Kirara, the water buffalo, as she worked while making sounds. The time spent at Yubu Island was only one hour, and it felt too short, especially since the interaction and photo opportunities with the water buffalo were crowded; I wished we had a bit more time. Even during the bus ride, Macchan kept us entertained with his guidance, so we never got bored. I'm glad I participated in this all-inclusive tour. I highly recommend taking a tour rather than going solo.

I stayed at a hotel on Iriomote Island, and I was very grateful for the free shuttle service to the hotel. The weather was unusually clear for this time of year, and it was warm! In the morning, we took a water buffalo cart to Yubu Island. Each water buffalo has its own personality, and the relaxed time we spent was wonderful. Yubu Island has many attractions, and there was so much to see that we didn't have enough time. In the afternoon, we went kayaking (you can also choose SUP) through the mangroves. You definitely need clothes that can get wet since your backside will get soaked, but the experience of being surrounded by nature was truly moving. Our guide, Shu, explained everything about Iriomote Island in detail and took lots of photos, which added to our memories. It's a tour that beginners can join with confidence.

February's weather is unstable, and I read online that it's often rainy and windy, so I started my 4-night, 5-day trip without making too many plans. By the time I arrived, the forecast for the next day was rain. They mentioned that the pumpkin tour might be possible on the fourth day, but fortunately, it was sunny on the day of the tour! The winds from the previous day had calmed down, and the tour went ahead without a hitch. The view of the sea from the hill was beautiful, but the clarity of the water when I actually got in was breathtaking! We did kayaking, river climbing, and diving, and the experience was richer than I had imagined—it was incredibly fun! 2月は天気が不安定で、雨、風が強いことも多いとネットにも書いてあった事もあり、あまり予定を決めずに4泊5日の旅の始まり。到着時点で翌日は雨予報。パンプキンの催行日は4日目なら可能かも？との事だったが、幸いにも当日は晴れ！前日までの風も落ち着き、無事催行。丘から見る海も綺麗だけど、実際入って見る海の透明感は、息を呑むほどの美しさ！カヤック、沢登りに、飛び込み、想像以上に内容は濃く、最高に楽しかった(^^)ガイドのお兄さん、お姉さんのサポートも手厚くて、説明も分かりやすく、安心感がありました。また宮古島に来たときには、Pi Piさんにお願いしようかな！

It was a very satisfying tour! Since I participated in winter, I was worried about the coldness of the sea, but I only felt cold at first; after that, being in the water felt warmer. It was my first time entering the Pumpkin Cave, and it was larger than I expected. I really enjoyed the explanations from the guide. Canoeing required more paddling than I thought, so I was exhausted after the tour, but that was also fun. It's a tour that brings you back to your childhood. The inside of the Pumpkin Cave is mystical, and I truly recommend visiting at least once.
大満足のツアーでした！冬に参加ということで、海の冷たさを心配していたのですが、冷たいと感じたのは最初だけで、あとは海に入っている方が温かく感じました。パンプキン鍾乳洞へははじめて入ったのですが、中は思ったより広くガイドさんの説明でとても楽しめました。カヌーは思ったよりも漕ぎますのでツアー終了後にはヘトヘトになりますが、それも楽しかったです。童心にかえれるツアーです。パンプキン鍾乳洞の中は神秘的で本当に１度は訪れてみてください。

I participated in a sea turtle snorkeling tour and beach SUP. I was worried it might be cold since it was February, but thanks to the wetsuit, I was able to snorkel without any issues. Compared to summer, the winter sea has higher visibility, and I could clearly see the seabed and the fish swimming in the distance. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see any sea turtles this time, so I would like to try again in the summer. The SUP was held in an area with little wave action, making it easy for beginners to try. I participated with one middle-aged man and three children aged 7, 6, and 4. The instructors were kind, and the Ingyama Marine Garden was calm with no waves. The first 30 minutes were spent practicing and exploring the garden, and the last 30 minutes were free time within the garden. I plan to use this service again next time.

Even my middle schooler enjoyed it, and we had a great time as a family! I thought the activities would be all about adventure, but the limestone cave had a mysterious and solemn atmosphere. With the guide's explanations, I felt a sense of the sacred. Of course, there were plenty of adventure elements as well, and at the end of the cave, my courage was truly tested.
The sea kayaking required a bit of physical strength, but I felt a sense of accomplishment as we navigated through the rocks without being defeated by the waves to reach our destination.
Our handsome guide, Gen-chan, patiently taught us how to move at each step and provided explanations about the cave, which made us feel secure throughout the experience and doubled our enjoyment. It was a cloudy afternoon in February, but thanks to the wetsuits, we didn't feel cold at all. Although it was noted that there were no changing rooms or showers, we were able to wash our feet with a water hose.
