It was raining on the day of our adventure, which brought down our spirits a bit. However, we paddled our canoe through the heavy downpour and ventured deep into the river. From there, we trekked up through the dense jungle, and the sight of the swollen Pinai Sara was impressive, lifting our spirits significantly. The cave was completely dark without any lighting. I booked a half-day tour to explore Iriomote Island during my main trip to Ishigaki Island. Although it rained, I was able to see impressive waterfalls, and I had a more enjoyable experience than I expected with trekking and cave exploration. The instructor provided various explanations along the way, making the time fly by. We experienced this with two people aged 65 and 61. We usually go out without plans, but since the weather tomorrow is forecasted to be cloudy, we started looking for options about two hours before leaving home and made a reservation without fully understanding the details. On the day, it drizzled on and off. What I thought would be a regular cave turned out to be an exciting cave exploration where we crawled through a limestone cave. The round trip to the waterfall involved canoeing and trekking, and everything exceeded our expectations. It was the best experience I've had so far. The guide was also very good. I was hoping to see the sunset and the stars in Ishigaki Island, but they were obstructed by clouds and moonlight. Next year, I want to stay in Iriomote. I definitely recommend this experience without worrying about age.

家を出る２時間位前から探したので
、内容をよく理解しないままでの予約をしました。
当日は小雨が降ったりやんだりでした。

The local guide was very clear and provided explanations about the history and flora and fauna of Iriomote Island! I definitely want to participate again when I come back to Iriomote Island! This tour is highly recommended! The Pinaisara Falls were impressive!

We participated as a group of eight men in their 30s and 40s. It was an experience that allowed us to let loose and enjoy ourselves until the end, truly a return to childhood. It wasn't the typical tourist route; we got to experience both the limestone caves and the mangroves. I never expected to have such a wild experience in Japan! The staff were very attentive and provided excellent support, which made us feel at ease. Thank you very much!!

We decided on this tour for our fifth grader and first-year middle school boy who wanted an active experience. On the day of the tour, we gathered at Uehara Port and heard it could get crowded coming from Ishigaki Island, so we arrived early to depart. We felt relieved to meet the staff waiting for us on-site, but this year there has been a dry rainy season, and the cave's sanitary conditions weren't good, so we quickly changed to canyoning for the afternoon. After moving to the shop, we put our valuables in a waterproof bag we borrowed and received a canoeing lesson before heading to the location. There were tandem options available, but they assured us that our fifth grader could manage alone. While being watched over and given advice, we trekked for 40 minutes, listening to stories about the flora and fauna, and were healed by the negative ions at Pinai Saara Falls. We enjoyed homemade rice balls from our guide for lunch and returned via the same route before heading to canyoning. We experienced jumping in from upstream, and the descent downstream was filled with excitement for the kids on a hot summer day, making for a very active and enjoyable day. It went by in a flash, but we truly had a fun day. I would love to sign up for the same tour again next time. Lastly, I was happy to receive many photos as well. For those looking to spend an active day, even though the cave plan changed, the staff were kind and I highly recommend it. Thank you!

小学５年と中１男子、アクティブな体験したいとこのツアーに決定。当日は上原港に集合ということで石垣島から混雑すると聞いて早め待機で出港。現地で待っていただいてるスタッフの方と合流でき安心したのですが今年は空梅雨で洞窟の衛生環境がよくないらしく急きょお昼から代案のキャニオニングに変更。一度店の方へ移動させていただいてから貴重品のみお借りした防水バックにいれてカヌーのこぎ方レクチャーし現地へ。２人のりもあるそうだけど小学５年でも一人で大丈夫、と見守ってアドバイスいただきながら片道４０分、動植物のお話聞きながらトレッキング、ピナイサーラの滝でマイナスイオンに癒されました。ガイドさんの手作りおにぎり、昼食いただき元来たルートで戻り、次はキャニオニングへ。上流から飛び込みも体験しつつ下流までの沢下りは暑い夏日に子供たちもおおはしゃぎでとてもアクティブに心地よくハードに１日満喫できました。あっという間でしたが、本当に楽しい１日過ごせました。今度もまた同じツアーで申し込みたいくらいです。また最後にたくさんの写メもいただけ嬉しかったです。アクティブに１日過ごされたい方洞窟は変更になりましたがスタッフの方も優しくおすすめです。ありがとうございました！

I forgot to post this, but it's been a while... We canoed close to the waterfall and then trekked to the waterfall! We played in the water at the waterfall and had rice balls nearby. In the afternoon, we explored three caves! The trekking path was harder than I expected, but the excitement when we reached the waterfall was immense. The caves were natural, each with a different character, and there were some very large stalactites, as well as countless icicle-like formations on the ceiling that sparkled when light was shone on them. It was also fun to hear the guide talk about the mangroves and the flora and fauna of the island. I was very satisfied with the full day of activities. It was a tour that made me want to participate again. (I have the images saved on my computer, but I couldn't upload them successfully.)

投稿を忘れておりだいぶたっておりますが・・・滝の近くまでカヌーで進み、その後、滝までトレッキング！滝で水遊び、周辺でおにぎりを食べました。午後から３つの洞窟を探検しました！トレッキングの道は思っていたよりハードめでしたが、その分、滝に到達したときは感激が大きかったです。洞窟は自然のままの洞窟で、それぞれ表情が違い、鍾乳石は、とても大きいものがあったり、天井に無数のつららがあったり、光を当てると粒子がきらきらしていました。ガイドさんがマングローブなど動植物や島のお話をしてくれたのも楽しかったです。１日盛りだくさんの内容で満足できました。また、参加したいと思えるツアーでした。（画像をパソコンに取り込んでありますがうまくアップロードできなかったです。）

I was moved by my first visit to Iriomote Island.
We rode canoes and aimed for the Pinai Sara Falls on a trekking adventure.
Since the trail is quite challenging, I think the kids (ages 13 and 9) will need two bottles of water each for the August tour.
However, the waterfall was incredibly refreshing, and the homemade lunch was very delicious, making all the fatigue disappear.

The cave exploration in the afternoon was also quite something!
I was amazed at how we could pass through such places, and the world inside the cave was completely devoid of light.
It got pretty muddy, but on the contrary, we had a blast.
(A helmet is a must!)

I actually wanted to give a maximum rating, but there were quite a few fingers in the photos taken by the guide, and it was hard to hear the explanations towards the back, so I rated it ★★★★.
The tour itself was flawless.

The Ishigaki Island lizards were incredibly beautiful! ♥

初めての西表島に感動しました。
カヌーに乗って、トレッキングでピナイサーラの滝を目指します。
なかなかの道なので８月のツアーでは子供たち（１３歳・９歳）の飲料水は２本づつ必要かと。
ただ、滝の水はとても気持ち良く、手作りのランチもとてもおいしく、疲れも吹っ飛びます。

午後からの洞窟めぐりもなかなかのモノ！
こんな所通れるの～とか、洞窟の中で光の全くない世界。
結構ドロドロになりますが、逆に思い切り楽しめました。
（ヘルメットは必須です）

本当は評価マックスにしたかったのですが、ガイドさんに撮ってもらった写真に結構指が入っていたのと、説明が後ろの方まで聞き取りにくかったので★★★★でした。
ツアー自体は文句なしです。

I was simply amazed by the experience of being surrounded by nature while canoeing. The water at the waterfall was a bit cold on May 1st, but I thoroughly enjoyed playing in the water. The caves were more impressive than I expected, and I think this tour is a great deal.
