I received a phone call the day before participating in the SUP at Kabira Bay regarding the meeting time and other details. I asked a few questions during that call, and they answered them politely, which made me feel at ease for the day of the experience.
On the day of the activity, it was quite windy, and I was told that the difficulty level of the SUP was high, but thanks to the thorough pre-lecture and the cheerful encouragement from the staff, I was able to enjoy the activity!
Additionally, during the shuttle bus ride, they shared information about Ishigaki Island, making it feel like I was on a sightseeing bus, and I was able to spend the travel time meaningfully.
I would like to participate in another tour organized by this company next time.
川平湾SUPに参加するにあたり、前日に集合時間等のお電話をいただきました。その際に何点か質問したのですが、丁寧に答えていただいたため、安心して体験の日を迎えることができました。
当日は、風が強く、SUPの難易度が高いとのことでしたが、事前の丁寧なレクチャーやスタッフの方の明るい声がけで、アクティビティを楽しむことができました！
また送迎バス内では石垣島についてお話ししてくださり、観光バスに乗っているような気分で、移動の時間も有意義な時間を過ごすことができました！
次回もこちらの会社が催行するツアーに参加したいと思います。
3月中旬はまだ海の水が冷たく、風が強いため長袖長ズボンでの参加をおすすめします。

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing many stories about the islands during our travels, which made it enjoyable. We had a fulfilling day riding in an ox cart and paddling a canoe to see the mangroves.
One disappointing aspect was that I had imagined we would be able to explore deeper into the jungle while canoeing, but in reality, we only paddled a little on a large river and landed at a small area with mangroves for a brief walk, which was a bit different from what I had envisioned.
Overall, I am satisfied. Thank you for the valuable experience.

I participated in a tour of mangrove canoeing and Yufushima. It was a day with strong rain and wind, but I was able to paddle vigorously, and inside the mangroves, the wind calmed down, allowing me to enjoy the scenery while listening to the guide's explanations. The cows on Yufushima were very cute.

We enjoyed a day of snorkeling at the northern reef of Taketomi Island, landing on the Phantom Island, then returning to Ishigaki Island for a free shower and a break. After lunch, we did SUP at Kabira Bay.
Everywhere had beautiful emerald green waters with high transparency, truly embodying the essence of a southern island! The snorkeling was especially great! I thought I would like to enjoy it for a longer time next time. The SUP at the quiet Kabira Bay was also refreshing. I think the guides were kind, making it a great tour.

A couple in their 50s tried canoeing for the first time. The weather was perfect and the scenery was amazing! The female guide was reliable yet friendly, which made us feel very comfortable. It was so much fun that it felt like it ended in the blink of an eye. If I had to wish for something, I would have liked a little more time to paddle freely and move around.

We were taken care of during our first family trip to Miyako Island. On the way to the meeting point, it was pouring rain. It looked cold, and I didn't expect to see the sunset, which left me feeling very disappointed. However, the instructors patiently taught us from scratch, and it felt like a lie that we had no confidence; the whole family enjoyed it. Moreover, at the moment when we could see a little bit of the sunset through the cloudy sky, they took many photos for us, making it a truly memorable day. We also experienced snorkeling on the same day, and even the kids, who were feeling unmotivated due to the cold and fatigue, said it was more fun than snorkeling. Although I was the only senior just below the age limit, the guide's thoughtfulness, gentle lectures, and skillful compliments allowed us to enjoy ourselves until the end. I felt that we were taken along a gentle route. In the morning, it was a bit dim at first, which made me worried, but as the river is shallow and connects to the sea, it gradually became brighter, revealing beautiful emerald green waters. Paddling alongside the mangroves offered a unique view that only stand-up paddleboarding can provide. Although we couldn't see the sunrise, the morning glow over the sea became a cherished memory! I participated in the mangrove canoeing and Yufu Island course.
Although the weather was unfortunate, I was able to enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by mangroves while canoeing. On Yufu Island, I also had a fulfilling time taking pictures with water buffalo and visiting a café.
There were strong winds, and the ferry to Uehara Port was canceled, so we had to switch from SUP to canoeing. However, I received a thorough explanation about these changes over the phone the day before, which was very helpful.
I would like to visit again next time!

In the morning, I rode a water buffalo to Yufu Island. On the island, I was able to touch the water buffalo and feed them. I also saw beautiful butterflies and enjoyed delicious gelato, which made me very satisfied.
For lunch, I returned to Uehara Port and had a meal. I was able to get information about various shops, making it easy to choose.

I experienced this on a cloudy day in February, and I was impressed by the clarity of the water while snorkeling! Since it was winter, the water temperature was low, and it felt cold at first, but I got used to it surprisingly quickly. 👍
Right after entering the water, I was able to see a sea turtle and enjoy watching schools of small fish that you would typically see in an aquarium. The scenery was very beautiful!

I was able to paddle through the mangrove river for the first time on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP)! The accommodation was near the island terminal, and they picked me up. On the way to the river, the guide shared stories about the weather in Ishigaki Island, the history of the town, and local agricultural products. I also learned about the mangroves during the nature guide session on the river. I fell off the board once while paddling, but I had a great time! I'm 59 years old, and since I will be subject to age restrictions next year, I'm glad I could do this this time.
マングローブの川を初めてのSUPで進むことが出来ました♪宿が離島ターミナルの近くで、お迎えに来てもらい、川までの道中はガイドさんから石垣島の天候や街の歴史、農産物の話を聞け、川ではマングローブ（ひるぎ）のネイチャーガイドも聞けました。SUPでは一度落ちましたが、とても楽しめました‼️私は59歳で来年は年齢制限にかかるので今回出来て良かったです。

This time, I participated in stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) at Kabira Bay and snorkeling at the Blue Cave. The SUP in the clear waters of Kabira Bay was incredibly refreshing. The instructor was very attentive, making it enjoyable even for beginners!
Although the wind picked up at one point, the guide helped pull us along, so even those without much stamina can participate with peace of mind. The snorkeling was also fantastic; I was very satisfied to see beautiful coral reefs and fish! I was especially moved to see a clownfish up close; it was so cute!
Both activities allowed us to take many beautiful photos, so I was able to capture these memories. Thank you very much for this experience!

Due to strong winds, we had to change our plans and enjoyed canoeing in the mangroves of Miyara River! It felt amazing, so much so that we didn't even mind the rain! Of course, seeing the mangroves and having fun canoeing was great, but what made it even better was our guide, who kept the atmosphere lively and enjoyable throughout the trip. During my 3-day trip, it was cloudy and rainy all three days, which made me really worried. I contacted the staff several times, and they were very kind and helpful.
I really wanted to see sea turtles! Although it wasn't guaranteed that I would see them, I decided to give it a shot... and within 10 seconds of entering the water, I spotted two of them!!! They were incredibly cute!!!
Even though the wind was blowing at 8 meters per second and the sea was rough with rain, the underwater conditions were calm, and the visibility was high, making it incredibly beautiful (^O^)

We took a ferry from Ishigaki Island to Uehara Port on Iriomote Island, where we were welcomed by our guide, Macchan. It seems that ferries to Uehara Port are often canceled during this season (if canceled, there is a shuttle bus from Ohara Port), so we were lucky.
In the morning, we enjoyed a water buffalo cart tour of Yufu Island, and in the afternoon, we had a mangrove canoe tour. The experience of moving through the sea on a water buffalo cart was extraordinary and became a wonderful memory. On Yufu Island, we also had the chance to interact with the water buffalo and take commemorative photos!
During the afternoon mangrove canoe tour, we thoroughly enjoyed the mangroves along the Urauchi River for about an hour. We took many photos while canoeing, which also became a lovely memory!

There’s nothing that gives you energy like the morning sun. The energy that reaches us from the universe is incredible! Plus, being able to float in such a clear and calm sea while feeling nature all around me was the best experience! The moment I stood up, I fell right in, but the instructor was great at explaining things and I quickly got the hang of it. I also got to meet a fish with yellow stripes and a cute, fluffy bird, which made me very happy. I wholeheartedly recommend Sunrise SUP!

Due to the weather, the SUP at Kabira Bay was canceled, but I was glad to see the clear waters while snorkeling. We were picked up from Ishigaki Port and it took about 30 minutes to reach our destination. During the ride, they shared recommendations for restaurants and information about Ishigaki Island, which made me very satisfied.

I usually live in the city and signed up for this tour in search of nature. Unfortunately, I couldn't go to Barasu Island during the winter, but I had a great time participating in the tour. In early February, during a cold wave where a down jacket was necessary on Ishigaki Island, I made a reservation for SUP and snorkeling here.
The day before, I received a call confirming that due to rough seas, the SUP at Kabira Bay would be changed to mangrove SUP, and the landing at the Blue Cave and Phantom Island would not be possible, so it would be changed to snorkeling at Sakura Beach. They also mentioned that the price would be adjusted later.
Therefore, I requested mangrove SUP in the morning and snorkeling at Sakura Beach in the afternoon!
The instructors for each activity were different, but both were friendly and cheerful, and I had a great time. They also sent photos and videos via LINE, which made for wonderful memories!

During the tour, the water temperature was cold, and the wind was strong, so unfortunately, the feeling of "it's cold..." overshadowed the excitement.

2月上旬、石垣島もダウンジャケットが必要なくらい冷え込む寒波の中、こちらでsup&シュノーケルを予約しました。
前日にお電話いただき、大シケのため川平湾でのsupはマングローブsupに変更、青の洞窟・幻の島上陸はNGとなり、さくらビーチでのシュノーケルに変更になるが問題ないかと確認いただきました。(その分、お値段も後日変更になるようです)
そのため、午前はマングローブsup・午後はさくらビーチでのシュノーケルをお願いしました！
それぞれインストラクターさんは異なりますが、どちらの方もフレンドリーで明るく、楽しい時間を過ごさせてもらいました。
LINEで写真・動画も送ってくださり、いい思い出になりました！
また、おすすめしてもらったランチのお店も、とっても美味しかったです！教えてくださって感謝です！
ツアー中は水温も冷たく、風も強かったので感動よりも「寒い…」が勝ってしまったのが残念です。。泣
さくらビーチは透明度は高かったですが、ウミガメはほぼ会えないようで、お魚も少なめでした。。
こればかりは仕方ないですが、シケの時はシュノーケル以外のアクティビティに変更するのもアリだと思います！
ただ、インストラクターさんも寒い中、優しく体調を気遣ってくださったので有難かったです。
石垣島のおすすめの時期は5月らしいので、次回は暖かくなったら、またリトライしたいと思います！！
