I was hoping to go snorkeling, but due to bad weather, it was changed. What a shame.

In the morning, I went on a mangrove canoe tour guided by Matsushita, also known as Macchan. We paddled up the river with mangroves on both sides. The current was gentle, and while listening to explanations about the island, we smoothly made our way forward, enjoying the magnificent nature. Before turning back, we landed on the shore to see some plants and a waterfall. On the way back, we relaxed and arrived at the estuary without having to paddle.

After a lunch break, in the afternoon, we went canyoning guided by Shogo. We walked over rocky areas, jumped in about three times, and slid down the stream. At the waterfall, we enjoyed being hit by the flow, going behind it, and fully experiencing the great outdoors! When climbing the rocks or jumping into the river, the guides carefully showed us where to place our feet, allowing us to play safely.

Canoeing and canyoning may seem difficult, but the guides pay close attention and teach you, so there were no injuries, and it's fine even for beginners. I think even elementary school students can do it. Since we came all the way to Iriomote Island, I believe it's better to leave it to the guides to fully enjoy the island's nature and play safely, plus they teach you various things about the island, which is very helpful.

This time it was winter, so unfortunately the weather wasn't great, but I was very satisfied. Especially canyoning is definitely worth doing at least once!

Also, they provide wetsuits, so it wasn't cold, and we could use the shower after the experience. We got to take a lot of photos as well. I was a bit anxious since it was an unfamiliar place and I was meeting the guides for the first time, but everything turned out to be great!

午前中はまっちゃんこと松下さんのガイドの元、マングローブカヌーでした。マングローブを両サイドに見ながら、川を上っていきます。流れも穏やかで、島の説明を聞き、雄大な自然を見ながら、スイスイ進んでいきます。折り返し前に陸地に上陸し、植物を見たり、滝を見たり。帰りは漕がなくてものんびりしながら河口につきました。

お昼休憩を挟んで、午後は翔吾さんガイドの元、キャニオニング。岩場を歩いて、途中3回ほど飛び込みをしたり、沢を滑り降りたりしました。滝では、流れに打たれたり、裏側へ回ったり、大自然を満喫しました！岩場を登る時や川に飛び込む時も、足の置き場まで丁寧に教えてくださり、安全に遊べました。

カヌーもキャニオニングも難しそうに感じますが、ガイドさんが細かく見てくれ、教えてくださるので、怪我もないですし、初めてでも大丈夫です。小学生でも大丈夫だと思いました。
せっかく西表島に来るからには、島の自然を満喫でき、楽しく安全に遊べるよう、ガイドさんにお任せしたほうがいいと思いますし、島の色んなことも教えてもらえるので、とても助かります。
今回は冬だったので、あいにくの天気でしたが、大満足でした。特にキャニオニングは一度やる価値有りです！

あと、ウエットスーツは貸してもらえるので寒くはないですし、体験後シャワーも使えました。写真もたくさん撮ってもらえました。なんとなく、始まるまでは知らない土地だし、ガイドさんも初めて会うので不安でしたが、色々ハズレなし感でした。

I made a reservation the day before, and they kindly accepted me, allowing me to join the tour. The travel time was interesting as I heard many things about Iriomote Island that I had never known before!

During canyoning, I couldn't bring anything except my GoPro camera, but thanks to the many photos and videos they took, I have wonderful memories!

After the tour, they also recommended a nearby lunch spot after dropping us off, so we were able to spend the waiting time for the boat without any issues!

The weather was wonderful, and it felt really nice. I highly recommend this place for those who want to experience something extraordinary in a jungle that feels like dinosaurs might appear! As an adult, I’ve found that I don’t get to let loose as much anymore, but I had a great time climbing and jumping around. I was quite nervous about the jumps, but the instructor, Koma-chan, really encouraged and cheered me on, so I managed to do it! I couldn’t bring my own camera for safety reasons, but the instructor took photos for us, which was great for capturing memories.

お天気にも恵まれて、とっても気持ちよかったです。
恐竜が出てきそうな雰囲気のジャングルで、非日常を味わいたい方に大変おすすめです！
大人になってから全力ではしゃぐことも減っていましたが、登ったり、飛び込んだりと、すごく楽しかったです。

I experienced snorkeling and canyoning at Baras Island. We visited two spots, including Baras Island made of coral fragments and a beautiful sea with coral. I was thrilled to encounter colorful fish and even sharks. During canyoning, I walked through a subtropical forest, climbed cliffs, and enjoyed the thrill of jumping into the river and natural water slides! It was a bit scary, but the fun outweighed it. We took a lot of photos, which were sent to us right away! Finally, we enjoyed a warm shower, making it comfortable. It was a satisfying day where I could fully experience the great outdoors.

It was my first snorkeling experience at Barasu Island!!

This was my second time participating at the request of my child, and it was amazing again! We jumped into the waterfall, slid down a natural slide, and above all, the zip line was the best! I was a bit anxious with around 100 people at the meeting point, but each tour had a conductor, and we were lucky enough to have Naoto as our dedicated guide for our group of two! My first canyoning experience was filled with natural water slides, rock climbing, and jumping, and I felt like a kid again, having so much fun.

You can enjoy the Riverwalk, diving into the river, natural water slides, and ziplining for about three hours. Although there were concerns about the event due to rain, the staff checked the rain cloud radar and the condition of the river multiple times, ensuring safety while proceeding with the activities. I hadn't made any plans before arriving at Iriomote Island, but I was interested in canyoning and was looking for a place that allowed same-day reservations. For now, I signed up for a half-day canyoning session, and since it was my first time, I had a great time. Everyone else was from overseas, but the guide explained everything in both English and Japanese, and all the participants got really into it, making it a lot of fun. 一先ず、半日でキャニオニングのみでと申し込みましたが、初めてだったので充分に楽しめました。

This time, I participated in a plan that included a trip to Yufu Island and a canyoning tour.

We were taken by shuttle to both Yufu Island and the canyoning location, and the guide shared a lot of information about Iriomote Island with us.

On Yufu Island, we rode on a water buffalo cart! Once we arrived, we had some free time, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves.

For the canyoning tour, we walked a bit to reach the river, but since we were chatting with the guide, we arrived at the river in no time. Once we got to the river, we could jump from high places and use our bodies to go down the water slide, which was so much fun!

It was an extraordinary experience, and I have the best memories!

I participated in the morning canyoning tour! Before joining, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety, but our guide, Tomochin, provided solid support, allowing us to have a great time. :)

I was thrilled to experience activities like jumping and swimming from various spots, which are not something I usually get to do! At the end, I jumped into the water from about 3 meters, and Tomochin did a backflip while diving in, which was really cool.

I definitely want to participate again! Thank you very much!

午前のキャニオニングツアーに参加しました！参加する前まではドキドキと不安がありましたが、ガイドのともちんさんが、しっかりとサポートしてくれて楽しむことができました:)

In the morning, I went canyoneering for the first time with Komachan and Matsuko-san!

I was really nervous about the jumps, but once I jumped in, it was refreshing and so much fun. The river activities that I can't experience in Tokyo left a lasting impression.

The water was cold, but since the outside temperature was warm, I hardly felt cold and was able to enjoy it until the end!

I was also happy to interact with hermit crabs and a lot of tadpoles, and to play in the river while encountering fish and other creatures at my feet.

In the afternoon, I joined a mangrove canoe tour with Kajisan and Matsuko-san.

I was soaked and chilled from the rain in the morning, but the warmth of the water and the physical activity of canoeing made me feel pleasantly tired without freezing!

It was fun to see the tunnel for the Iriomote wildcat that can only be seen at low tide, interact with round crabs, and plant mangroves.

At the rainwater waterfall, the experience unique to the rain and the ability to focus on the fun, even while getting muddy and soaked, was something that could only happen because it was raining! The heavy rain on the way back was quite rare, and I was glad to experience it before the shower!

All three of us were very satisfied with the guides and support. I would love to join another tour when I come back to Iriomote Island.

飛び込みはすっごくドキドキしたけど飛び込んじゃうと爽快でとても楽しかったです。
東京では体験できない川遊びがとても思い出に残りました。

水は冷たかったですが外の気温が暖かいので寒さはほとんどなく最後まで楽しむことができました！

ヤドカリや大量のおたまじゃくしと触れ合ったり、川の中では足元に川魚と生き物と触れ合いながら遊べたのも嬉しかったです。

午後はかじさん×まつこさんとのマングローブ・カヌーツアー

午前中でずぶ濡れ+雨で冷え切っていましたが水中の暖かさと体力仕事のカヌー体験で凍えずに良い感じの疲労感でした！

干潮時ならではのイリオモテヤマネコ用のトンネル拝見や丸いカニとの触れ合い、マングローブ植えが楽しかったです。

雨水滝では雨ならではの体験や泥まみれになってもずぶ濡れになってもどうせ雨だし！と楽しさに集中できるのは雨だからこそでした！！帰り際の豪雨はなかなか珍しいレベルだったらしく、シャワー前に豪雨を体験できてよかったです！！

３人ともガイドやサポートも丁寧でとても満足しました。また西表島に来た時はツアーに参加したいです。

I was anxious about snorkeling for the first time, but the clear explanations made me feel at ease and I was able to participate in the tour confidently! The tour guide explained various things, making it a very enjoyable snorkeling experience. Since it wasn't low tide at Balas Island, we landed with water up to our ankles. The coral was beautiful, and when I looked closely, there were many fish swimming around. I didn't see any sea turtles. Since we were on the same boat as about 20 people from other plans of the same tour company, it wasn't a private tour, but I still had a great time.

I had never been into the mountains of Yanbaru, and I wanted to have an adventurous experience with my family, so I chose this tour. My wife, who dislikes the cold, was extremely scared of getting soaked at first, but once she got into the water, she seemed to have made up her mind. At the deepest part of the waterfall, she forgot about the cold and was swimming and jumping in. Walking through the mountains of Yanbaru, climbing cliffs, I was able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of adventure more than I had expected. The guide was very attentive to every detail, so there was no feeling of danger at all. It can be tiring, but I think it's a recommended tour.

やんぱるの山の中は行った事なかったのと、家族で冒険的な経験をしたかったので、このツアーを選びました。
寒いのが嫌いな妻は、最初はずぶ濡れになる事を極端に怖がっていましたが、一度、水に入ったら覚悟が決まったようで、一番奥の滝壺では寒さを忘れ泳いだり、飛び込んだりしてました。

We participated in a canyoning, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking tour with our family of three! 家族３人でキャニオニングとサップ、カヤックツアーに参加しました！

I participated with my 6th-grade son and another person.

In the morning, we took on canyoning for the first time! We were provided with helmets, life jackets, and marine shoes. The marine shoes had a special sole that made them slip-resistant on rocky surfaces, so we could enjoy ourselves without worry. The beautiful river looked like something out of a Studio Ghibli movie, and our excitement was at its peak!

We slid down a water slide on the rocks and jumped off high cliffs, with both adults and kids screaming in delight as we made big splashes. Our guide, Yama-chan, took lots of photos, which made us very happy. There was a small child in our group, and Yama-chan was thoughtful enough to help find spots where they could jump from lower heights, which was great.

Around 11 AM, we returned to the port still in our wet swimsuits for a lunch break. We had two hours before the afternoon tour, and since it was hot, we relaxed and had lunch while drying off our swimsuits.

In the afternoon, we went on a SUP and kayak tour. We were given life jackets and marine shoes again. The scenery was stunning, with mangroves growing thickly on both sides, and I felt so glad I had come all this way.

As we continued, the river gradually narrowed, giving us a full jungle cruise experience. We all landed at a dry spot to carefully observe the mangroves and wildlife. We took lots of photos, creating wonderful memories.

同じグループに小さな子が参加していたのですが、低い位置からジャンプ出来る場所を探してくれたり、山ちゃんの細やかな配慮も良かったです。
11時頃、濡れた水着のまま港に戻って各自お昼休憩。午後のツアーまでに２時間あり、暑かったので水着を乾かしながらのんびりお昼ご飯を食べました。

午後はサップとカヤックツアー
ライフジャケットとマリンシューズを貸して貰いました。両側にマングローブがワシワシ生えていてザ▪西表島な景色に感動、遥々来て良かったなーとつくづく思いました。
途中からどんどん川幅が狭くなりジャングルクルーズ感満載、干上がった所で皆で上陸してマングローブや生き物をじっくり観察しました。
写真も沢山撮って貰えて良い思い出となりました。

ガイドの山ちゃんがまめに写真を撮ってくれて嬉しかった。
同じグループに小さな子が参加していたのですが、低い位置からジャンプ出来る場所を探してくれたり、山ちゃんの細やかな配慮も良かったです。
11時頃、濡れた水着のまま港に戻って各自お昼休憩。午後のツアーまでに２時間あり、暑かったので水着を乾かしながらのんびりお昼ご飯を食べました。

午後はサップとカヤックツアー
ライフジャケットとマリンシューズを貸して貰いました。両側にマングローブがワシワシ生えていてザ▪西表島な景色に感動、遥々来て良かったなーとつくづく思いました。
途中からどんどん川幅が狭くなりジャングルクルーズ感満載、干上がった所で皆で上陸してマングローブや生き物をじっくり観察しました。
写真も沢山撮って貰えて良い思い出となりました。

I participated with my wife and our three 8-year-old girls. In the morning, we did canyoning, and in the afternoon, we went canoeing (I actually preferred SUP, but we couldn't do it due to the tides).

The kids love playing in the water, like at pools, so they were really excited about canyoning. I thought the river water might be cold in October, but it was only a bit chilly, and both my wife and I had a great time. It's an activity I recommend for energetic children since they can participate safely. However, if you're not comfortable with heights or get scared easily, it might be better to skip it.

I was looking forward to the SUP in the afternoon, but we received a notice the day before that we would be canoeing instead. We enjoyed a relaxed time with beautiful views from the canoe and explanations about the mangroves. However, in the afternoon, there was suddenly heavy rain and strong winds, making it feel chilly. The guide mentioned that the weather in Iriomote Island can change quickly, so we felt it was just one of those days, and our family took it in stride.

I think active families will find it very satisfying. I would like to use this service again if I visit Iriomote Island.

私と妻と8歳の女の子3人で参加しました。
午前はキャニオニング、午後はカヌー(本当はSUPが良かったですが、潮の関係でSUP出来ませんでした。)

子供はプールなどの水遊びが大好きなので、キャニオニングは大はしゃぎでした。10月で川の水は寒いかなと思ったのですが、ちょっと冷たいくらいで私も妻もとても楽しめました。子供も安心して参加できるので元気なお子様ならおススメのアクティビティです。高い所が苦手だったり、怖いのが苦手な方は控えた方が良いかもしれません。

午後のSUPが良かったのですが、前日に連絡が来て急遽カヌーになりました。
カヌーから見れる景色やマングローブなどの説明などゆったりした時間を過ごせました。ただ午後は一転大雨や強い風が吹いて肌寒く感じました。ガイドさんは西表島は天候が変わりやすいとの事なので、そういう日もあるんだなといった感じで私達家族に関してはへっしゃらでした。

アクティブな家族なら満足感が高いと思います。また西表島に行ったら利用したいと思います。

The veteran staff skillfully brought together a diverse group of families, international guests, and solo travelers, creating a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. It's about a 10-minute walk to the river, so it’s not a hassle at all. At first, it took quite a bit of courage to jump in, but I gradually got used to it, and by the time I was leaving, I felt a bit reluctant to go. This was our third family trip to Okinawa.

I wanted to challenge myself with something I had never done before, and while searching, I discovered this tour. I had never been to the Yanbaru area and had always wanted to go, so I signed up immediately.

Climbing through the great outdoors of Yanbaru was quite challenging, but the sense of accomplishment afterward was exceptional.

At first, I didn't have the luxury to enjoy the surrounding scenery, but as I got used to it little by little, I was able to have fun observing the plants and rare creatures.

Above all, the natural waterslide created by the waterfall, jumping into the plunge pool, and zip sliding from the top of the waterfall... Initially, I felt a bit anxious, but once I embraced it and gave it a try, it was thrilling and refreshing!! It was incredibly fun＼(^o^)／

I never thought I could get so soaked and have such a blast as an adult (laughs).

Each experience was a first for me and became a precious page in my memories.

I highly recommend this tour for those who want to know more about the charms of Okinawa beyond the sea and for those who want to have an active adventure.

The instructor was very attentive and made me feel safe to enjoy the tour. Thank you for taking so many photos.

I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

今回で、3回目の沖縄家族旅行。

今までやったことがないことにチャレンジしたくて、いろいろ探してみたところ、このツアーを発見。
やんばる方面には行ったことがなく、一度行ってみたいと思っていたので、即決で申し込みしました。

やんばるの大自然の中、ひたすら登っていくのは、かなり大変でしたが、その分やり遂げたあとの達成感は格別でした。

最初は周りの景色を見る余裕がありませんでしたが、少しずつ慣れるにつれ、植物や珍しい生き物を見て楽しむことも出来ました。

何よりも、滝で出来た天然のウォータースライダー、滝つぼへのジャンプ、滝の上からのジップスライド・・・
初めは少し不安もありましたが、開き直っていざやってみるとスリル満点、気分爽快！！
サイコーに楽しかったです＼(^o^)／

大人になってから、こんなにびしょ濡れになって大はしゃぎ出来るとは思っていませんでした（笑）

どれも初めての体験で、貴重な思い出の1ページになりました。

海以外の沖縄の良さも知りたい人、アクティブのに遊びたい人には是非おすすめのツアーです。

インストラクターのお兄さんも、すごく丁寧に対応してくださり、安心してツアーを楽しむことが出来ました。
写真もたくさん撮っていただき、ありがとうございました。

Canyoning was a first-time experience for me. I thought the half-day course might be a bit lacking, but it turned out to be very fulfilling. The guide skillfully adjusted to the pace of the senior couple, allowing us to take on challenges that we wouldn't normally experience! I recommend the half-day course because it also allows you to make good use of the remaining time. Plus, the guide took a lot of photos, which made for great memories.

The weather was perfect, and it was the best experience! It seemed like the hottest day right after the rainy season, but the river water was cold and refreshing. At each jumping point, we were guided carefully one by one, and even though it was my first time, I was glad I could conquer all the points. The guide was friendly and provided detailed recommendations for restaurants and other sightseeing spots, which was very helpful. The return transfer also dropped me off at the requested location, which was a great help! I want to experience it again! ♪♪♪

天候にも恵まれ最高の体験でした！梅雨明けの一番暑い時期だった日のようで、暑い日でしたが川の水が冷たくて気持ちよかったです。飛び込みポイントも毎回1人1人丁寧に誘導してもらい初めてでしたが全ポイント制覇できてよかったです。ガイドして下さった方が気さくでおすすめの飲食店や他の観光場所についても詳しく教えて下さり助かりました。
