It was a 5-hour course with Tokai Kotsu Taxi. I learned a lot of information that I wouldn't have known if I had driven around myself, and I was very satisfied. We visited the family home of Yoko Gushiken, the snack shop of Rimi Natsukawa's mother, a local delicious ice cream shop, and a place for sata andagi, among others. The explanations flowed smoothly, and the singing was excellent; it felt just like being on a sightseeing bus. Truly a professional experience, and I was very satisfied!

I had requested a few places in advance and asked to decide the rest on the day. The driver was polite and answered questions, engaging in small talk, but as others have mentioned, he wasn't particularly knowledgeable or took photos for us.

It felt more like a shuttle service than a sightseeing taxi, with a basic "We've arrived, please take your time" approach. However, when I expressed that I wanted to go to a specific place, he considered the order and we arrived at the airport almost on time.

That said, I had an amazing experience with a sightseeing taxi in Ishigaki Island a few days prior, so I felt a bit underwhelmed.

あらかじめ数か所希望をだして、後は当日決める内容でお願いしておりました。ドライバーさんは丁寧な方で質問には答えてくれますし雑談もしますが、他の方が書いておられるように、知識が豊富であったり、写真を撮ってくれるなどという事はなかったです。

基本「到着しました、ごゆっくりどうぞ」という感じで観光タクシーというよりは送迎タクシーといった感じでした。
それでも当日こちらが「ここへ行きたい」という旨を伝えたら順番考えていっていただき、空港にもほぼ時間通りでしたので。。。

ただ数日前に石垣島でお願いした観光タクシーさんが素晴らしかったので、少し物足りない気がしました。

I booked the 3-hour course. I requested to focus on sightseeing around Kabira Bay and the glass-bottom boat, but they took me to many more places than I had expected, and I enjoyed it far more than I had anticipated. It exceeded my expectations.
Along the way, I was able to see a crowned eagle and a sea turtle, and the pineapple juice introduced by the driver was delicious, plus the scenery was amazing.

It was good that they came to pick us up at the airport on time.
We went from the airport to the Churaumi Aquarium, and then to Pineapple Park.
We were a group of nine and had requested to take photos at beautiful scenic spots when making the reservation, but in the end, we weren't guided to any.
It was a silent two-hour ride from the airport to the aquarium.
The driver only answered in single words to what we asked.
If it had been a taxi for transportation, there would have been no problem, but since I thought it was a sightseeing taxi, I was a bit disappointed, thinking we would get guidance while enjoying the scenery.
When I booked a similar taxi in Hawaii, there was a lot of guidance, and they recommended places and took many photos for us. Perhaps it was disappointing because I compared it to that experience.
Next time, I would like to request someone who can provide a bit more guidance.

時間通りに空港に迎えに来ていただけたので、そこはよかったです。
空港から美ら海水族館にいき、そとあとパイナップルパークにいきました。
9人での参加で、キレイな景色のところでみんなで写真を撮りたいと予約の時にお願いしてましたが、結局どこも案内してもらえませんでした。
空港から水族館まで、無言の2時間。
聞いたことにだけ、単語で答える感じ。
送迎のタクシーであれば、何の問題もないですが、観光タクシーと思っていたので、景色を見ながら案内とかしてもらえるのかなと思っていたのでちょっと残念でした。
ハワイで同じようなタクシーを予約した時は、たくさん案内があって、おすすめの場所を教えてもらったり、写真もいっぱい撮ってもらいました。それと比べてしまったからダメだったんでしょうか。
次回はもう少し案内してくれる方にお願いしたいです。

It was my first time using a sightseeing taxi. Since I had already visited the main tourist spots during my previous visit, I thought there might be other places I didn't know about and hadn't visited yet. I joined without a plan, but the driver was very nice and made many suggestions, moving flexibly with us. Although it was a short five-hour trip, we enjoyed a smooth round trip drive to the Churaumi Aquarium. Thanks to the driver's detailed advice, we were able to navigate the large grounds without getting lost. Additionally, we learned about the history and culture of Okinawa from the scenery visible through the window, making for a rich sightseeing experience. The day before, I had toured around Kabira Bay with my youngest daughter's couple, so I visited other places this time. In three hours, I explored Euglena Mall, the Tomb of the Chinese, a scenic café selling pineapple confiture, Mil-Mil Honpo, and Tamatorizaki Observatory, and finally, I was dropped off at Ishigaki Airport. The sightseeing driver was a knowledgeable and articulate woman named S. She answered all my questions accurately, and her detailed stories about animals and plants were very enjoyable and educational.

I realized once again that a private sightseeing taxi is a wonderful way to visit desired places within a limited time while also having a fun experience along the way. On the second day, we requested another full-day tour, and since some of the sightseeing spots overlapped with the first day, we were recommended a different course that allowed us to enjoy a more relaxed sightseeing experience! I made a special request for a female driver, and she fulfilled our wish. The driver was also very nice, which made us very excited from the first day.

I honestly didn't do enough research on geography and tourist spots before the day, so I roughly communicated that I wanted to visit Yachimun no Sato and the Churaumi Aquarium, and asked for any other recommendations. Fortunately, the driver was fantastic in terms of service, geographical knowledge, driving skills, and communication, making for a very satisfying day. I booked a 5-hour plan for five people. First, since our previous schedule ended earlier than expected, I contacted them to see if it was possible to pick us up 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time, knowing it might be a stretch. They kindly agreed to this request.

Throughout the ride, they kept the atmosphere lively by asking us trivia questions about Okinawa and showed us many sightseeing spots. Above all, I was truly grateful for how they took photos of our group at various locations. The photos were very well taken, and I was impressed throughout the experience. I think it's often difficult to get nice pictures of everyone when traveling, but thanks to them, we were able to create wonderful memories with many great photos.
