The sea was beautiful everywhere I went, and it was truly soothing. I highly recommend the glass-bottom boat at Kabira Bay, which you can ride for an additional 1,000 yen. I was thrilled to see Nemo, Dory, and various other tropical fish, as well as sea turtles. The captain mentioned that it’s lucky to see a sea turtle. On the way back, I was dropped off at Ishigaki Airport, and I took my flight directly from there. It was really convenient because I didn’t have to carry my luggage around when visiting the tourist spots!

Our stay on Taketomi Island was about an hour, but we were able to stop by Koidon Beach, the star sand, and a café by bicycle, making it a very satisfying tour for our family of four. The lunch box was also delicious.

There were several families and groups participating, and it felt like there was one staff member for every two families. They patiently taught us how to attach the fins.

Our family, with a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old, was snorkeling for the first time, and the explanation on how to wear the masks was very thorough. Even my timid eldest son felt reassured and decided to try the goggle type instead of the full-face mask we brought. My younger son found it a bit difficult, so he used the full-face type we brought.

Once we were in the sea, there were floatation rings to hold onto when we got tired, which made snorkeling very comfortable. Additionally, the guide who accompanied our family kindly encouraged the children, allowing them to swim with confidence. The underwater scenery was incredibly beautiful, making us feel like we were in an aquarium. It was the best! The children were so moved by the underwater world they saw while snorkeling that they ranked it as their top memory from our trip to Ishigaki Island.

After arriving at the Phantom Island, I got a bit seasick while snorkeling and couldn't move much, but the guide took care of the children and played with them, helping them search for shells, which was a huge relief.

We also had many wonderful photos taken, and I immediately printed and displayed them! They even filmed us swimming from below, which is my favorite part (^^).

On the way back on the boat, we were given recommendations for delicious places to eat taco rice, hamburgers, and soba, and when we actually went, they were incredibly tasty!!

I would love to participate in this tour again; it was truly exceptional. Thank you!

海の中はとってもキレイで、水族館の中にいるような気分。最高でした！子どもたちも、石垣島旅行の思い出の1番にあげるくらい、シュノーケルで見た海の世界が感動的だったようです。

幻の島に着いてからは、私が少しシュノーケル中に酔ってしまい、あまり動けなかったのですが、担当のガイドさんが子どもと一緒に遊んでくれ、貝探しをして楽しませてくれたりと、本当に助かりました。

ステキな写真も沢山撮ってもらい、さっそくプリントして飾っています！
ムービーも撮っていただき、泳いでいる様子を下から撮っていただいたものがお気に入りです(^^)

帰りの船では、タコライス、ハンバーガー、そばの美味しいお店を教えてもらい、実際に行ったら最高に美味しかったです！！

I visited Ishigaki Island alone during the second half of Golden Week. Since I planned to go to Kohama Island in the afternoon, I booked this tour for the free time I had in the morning.

I'm not good at driving, so I felt comfortable using the bus tour that takes you around Ishigaki Island. I was particularly satisfied with the additional fee for the cruise at Kabira Bay, where I could see the coral and sea turtles underwater. I rode the water buffalo that often appears in tourist posters when traveling from Iriomote Island to Yufu Island. It was high tide on the way there, but the water buffalo did a great job crossing the sea. Surrounded by a relaxing landscape, I truly enjoyed the essence of "Okinawa" while listening to the sound of the sanshin and the song "Asadoya Yunta."

On Taketomi Island, you can also ride a water buffalo cart through the old streets of the historic village surrounded by stone walls, while learning about the island's history from the guide.

You can choose how to spend your time on Taketomi Island as an option, and I found the water buffalo cart and rental bicycles to be great choices. I think walking would be fine if it weren't hot, but in the summer, renting a bicycle seems like a better option.

The jungle night tour is more of a jungle than I imagined. They provided us with boots, but I think it's better to participate in long pants. When I joined, I encountered a coconut crab! The hot, blazing sun and humidity left me exhausted, but the mangrove boat tour taught me many things I didn't know and was very interesting and enjoyable. While being leisurely transported on a water buffalo cart, I was captivated by the fun and delightful stories from the guide. The unique pace of the water buffalo, whether slow or fast, made for a truly enjoyable time. As for dealing with the humidity... I guess the only options are sunscreen and a parasol!
