It was so noisy that I felt sick and fell asleep. Did you not wake me up even when we arrived at the destination? Because of that, I couldn't do any sightseeing. The optional glass-bottom boat also turned into a rescue for a broken boat, so it wasn't sightseeing at all. Give me my money back!

On Yufu Island, it poured rain, but I had so much fun that I forgot about the rain and enjoyed getting soaked! The water buffaloes persevering in the rain and the beautiful shamisen performance by our guide were truly wonderful! Above all, Taketomi Island felt like time was flowing slowly, which brought me great peace of mind.

This was my first experience exploring remote islands. We went to the ticket counter at the island terminal ourselves, received our tickets, and boarded the ferry. There was no tour guide, but there were staff members at each destination, so we didn't get lost. If you want to see the mangroves, it's better to check the tide schedule since low tide is ideal. We were close to high tide, which was a bit disappointing. The lunch bento was not aimed at children, so picky eaters might find limited options. Although it was cloudy in Ishigaki Island at the departure point, it was raining when we arrived at Iriomote Island by boat. While there was no impact when riding the sightseeing bus or the water buffalo cart, I had to buy a raincoat for 300 yen during the walking tour on Yubu Island. The rain diminished the charm of the sightseeing experience.

I also rode the water buffalo cart on Taketomi Island, but I felt that it wasn't necessary to ride it twice. 2,800 yen was quite expensive.

On Taketomi Island, there was no rain, and I wandered around the houses, but considering the residents, I felt it might have been a nuisance to them, which made me feel embarrassed.

I participated with my one-year-old, and it was definitely the right choice to go on a bus tour in the scorching summer heat. Renting a car is expensive, and with lunch included, I didn't have to drive. The bus was always cool, so I didn't have to return to a sweltering vehicle after sightseeing. The bus guide was experienced and provided great commentary, and at the end, they even sang a song with a sanshin, which was fun! I wish it could have been a bit longer. However, I was a little disappointed with the lunch! The scenery was beautiful, though!

Starting with the friendly reception staff at the bus company, and the fun storytelling of our professional bus guide, Chieko, I’m really glad we chose this company! (I’m not sure if there are other companies in Ishigaki.) We were blessed with great weather and truly enjoyed the beautiful Ishigaki Island. But it was hot! The air-conditioned bus was a blessing! The only downside (?) was that the bus seats were a bit narrow for my American husband. But that’s just something he can fix by losing some weight! We were dropped off directly at the airport, and it was the perfect length for sightseeing. I highly recommend it. I hope you get Chieko as your guide!

However, on this tour, I was able to hear about the origins of the Tomb of the Chinese and the tidal flow of Kabira Bay, see wild palm trees, and listen to stories about encounters with habu snakes, which was enjoyable. Of course, the guide also shared stories and songs passed down in Ishigaki Island, and I was most surprised by the guide's skill in playing the sanshin and singing! I even wondered if they might be a professional.

Out of the four participants, one person got off at Ishigaki Airport, but they seemed to have enjoyed themselves and waved goodbye to the bus with a smile. 観光で行くと楽しいことばかりに目が行ってしまって、石垣島の由来とか歴史なんて学ぶ機会はないですが、このツアーでは唐人墓の由来とか、川平湾の潮の流れとか、野生の椰子の木を見たりハブとの遭遇話など聞けて楽しかったです。もちろん、石垣島に伝わる話や歌も披露してくれて、実は一番びっくりしたのは、ガイドさんの三線と歌の上手さです！実はプロなんじゃないかな？と思ったくらいです。

参加者４名のうち、おひとりが石垣空港で下車されましたが、その方も楽しまれたようで笑顔でバスを見送ってくださいました。
