Honestly, I thought I would see plenty of the ocean if I went to Ishigaki Island, so I wanted to learn about some different attractions of Ishigaki Island. That's when I found this tour. In the morning, we landed on the Phantom Island and went snorkeling (ocean), and in the afternoon, we did mangrove kayaking (river), which was a perfect balance and not just focused on the ocean. Both the Phantom Island and the mangroves took us to places that would be impossible to reach on our own, so I’m glad I participated.

On the snorkeling tour to the phantom island, I was able to see and enjoy the sea surrounding the phantom island made of pure white sand, with its cerulean blue, cobalt blue, or turquoise blue waters, and actually swim in it. On the mangrove tour, I was able to enjoy a green world surrounded by lush mangroves along the river. Both landscapes were vibrant, and I could greatly feel the different environment compared to Honshu, which was a wonderful refreshment.

In the morning, I was picked up at the hotel and headed to the boat dock for the Phantom Island, which took about 10 minutes. From there, we took a boat to Phantom Island for about 20 minutes. While on the boat, it's better to wear something like a windbreaker since you'll get splashed by the wind and water. At Phantom Island, the guide takes a lot of photos with a waterproof camera, so it's a good idea to think of poses in advance, haha. When snorkeling, you'll enter the sea in a wetsuit, so there's no need to worry about the cold. I was satisfied to see a different breathtaking view compared to the snorkeling at the Blue Cave the day before!

I experienced canoeing on the "Miyara River" in the mangroves. Perhaps because I had tried SUP the day before, the stability of the canoe was amazing, and I felt very secure while paddling. Since I had plenty of room, I was able to enjoy the scenery of the surrounding mangroves while paddling, which was a lot of fun. I noticed other participants trying SUP, and it seemed quite easy to do since the Miyara River had almost no waves and the current was gentle. Now I want to try SUP in the mangroves next time!

朝にホテルに迎えにきてもらい、幻の島へ行くボード乗り場まで10分ほどかけて向かいました。そこから20分ほどかけて幻の島までボートで向かいました。ボートに乗っている間は風や水しぶきを受けるので、濡れても良いウィンドブレーカーのようなものを着るのがベターです。幻の島ではガイドさんが防水カメラで写真をたくさん撮ってくれるので、ポーズを事前に考えておいた方が良いです笑。シュノーケリング時はウェットスーツで海に入るので、寒さの心配などは不要かと思います。前日の青の洞窟でのシュノーケリングとは違った絶景を見ることができ、満足でした！
マングローブは「宮良川」という川でカヌーを体験しました。前日にSUPを体験していたためか、カヌーの安定感がすごく、とても安心して乗れました。だいぶ余裕があったため周りのマングローブの景色も楽しみながら漕ぐことができ、とても楽しかったです。他の参加者の方でSUPに挑戦している方もおられましたが、宮良川は波がほとんどなく流れも穏やかだったため、かなりやりやすそうだと傍目に見て感じました。今度はマングローブでSUPもやってみたくなりました。

I was worried about the unstable weather forecast, but I was lucky that the weather was nice on the day of my visit. I was satisfied because I could enjoy both the sea and mangroves of Ishigaki Island. The snorkeling in the Blue Cave was amazing, with so many fish that I never got bored swimming. I fell in love with the sea of Ishigaki Island to the point where I wanted to swim in another location. The mangrove experience was relaxing and not too active, making it perfect after snorkeling. I want to come back in the summer next time!

I participated in a different tour with the same company the day before, and this tour had a different guide. I had a very good impression of both the content and the guide from the previous day's tour, so I was looking forward to this one as well, and it turned out to be just as enjoyable and fulfilling. I participated at the beginning of December! I originally planned to do SUP in the mangroves of Iriomote Island and snorkeling at Balas Island, but I had to give up because the waves were rough and there were many ferry cancellations during that time. After researching, I found out that I could also do SUP in the mangroves of Ishigaki Island, so I made a request. I was also interested in the Blue Cave, so when I looked for a tour that included snorkeling at the Blue Cave, I ended up at this shop. However, in December, the Blue Cave snorkeling point was dangerous due to rough waves, so we snorkeled at a different point in the southern part of Ishigaki Island. I had the impression that a full-day tour would have a fixed lunch location and not much freedom, but here we disbanded once at lunchtime and could eat wherever we liked, which was great. I was happy that they took about 200 photos and even videos. They suggested photo-worthy poses, and it became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

本当は西表島のマングローブでSUPプラスバラス島でシュノーケルを予定していたのですが波が荒く、フェリーの欠航が多い時期だったため断念しました。
調べたところ石垣島にもマングローブでSUPが出来ることを知りお願いしました。
青の洞窟も気になっていたので青の洞窟シュノーケルとセットになっているツアーを探したところこちらのショップさんに辿り着きました。
ですが１２月は青の洞窟のポイントは、波が荒くて危険なため石垣島南部の別のポイントでシュノーケルをしました。
丸１日ツアーでは、昼食場所が決まっていたり自由が無いイメージでしたがこちらは昼時に一度解散し好きな所で食事出来たり自由で良かったです。
写真200枚ほど＋動画まで撮っていただいて嬉しかったです。写真映えするポーズを提案して頂けたりとても良い思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

I happened to be with someone who was participating with me, so I could answer right away, but I thought it might be good to summarize questions in advance for groups of friends or others who might not know immediately.

On the day of the event, a very friendly guide picked us up on time, and we started our journey. While picking up other participants, the guide shared a lot of stories about the island and recommended some bars, which made the trip enjoyable. There was also thorough explanation of safety precautions and equipment for snorkeling and SUP, and assistance was provided as needed. During the activities, the guide was attentive to surrounding boats and ensured safety. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. I would definitely like to do this again when I come back to Ishigaki Island.

We participated in a canoe tour and a tour of the Piñaisara Falls with our family of four. Our fourth-grade son and six-year-old daughter eagerly took on the canoeing and trekking challenges. The kids had a great time seeing shrimp and eels in the pool at Piñaisara Falls, and they jumped into the pool multiple times. Additionally, since it was low tide, we were able to catch many crabs, which made everyone very happy. Above all, our guide, Mr. Iwamoto, was incredibly kind and taught us many things, making it a memorable and valuable experience. Thank you very much!

It was my first canoe experience, and I was kindly taught everything. More than anything, I was able to take a lot of photos, creating many memories! The stories about the mangrove forest were very interesting, and I was overwhelmed by the Pinai Sara Falls! On the way back, they even prepared souvenirs of star sand for me. Thank you so much! There are morning and afternoon sessions, but I signed up for the morning session from 8:30 to 12:30. After arriving at Iriomote Island by ferry, I met up with the tour guide at the port. Once we arrived at the office, which was about a 5-minute walk, we spent about 10 minutes getting ready (filling out forms and changing clothes), then got into the car and headed to the departure point, which was about a 15-minute drive away. The tour lasted just over three and a half hours, including about 50 minutes of canoeing, 20 minutes of trekking, and nearly 30 minutes of free time at the waterfall, before returning the way we came.

Canoeing was a bit tough at first, but once I got used to it, it became easy and fun to steer. The time allocation for each activity was just right, making it a well-rounded tour that incorporated various adventure elements. When I participated, there were four guests, including myself, and one tour guide. The guide took photos at various points (which can be downloaded later from the website), and the friendly, homey atmosphere created by the guide was wonderful. It felt like I could come back next year, almost like returning home, and I would love to meet this group again!

午前の部と午後の部がありますが、私が申し込んだのは8:30-12:30の午前の部。
フェリーで西表島に到着後、港でツアーガイドさんと合流。徒歩5分くらいの事務所に着いたら、10分程度で準備（申込書記入、着替え）し
、車に乗り込んで15分くらいの所にある出発地点へ。カヌー50分程度、トレッキング20分程度、滝壺で自由時間30分弱、その後来た道を戻る3時間半ちょっとのツアーでした。
カヌーを漕ぐのが少しきついですが、慣れるとスイスイ、方向転換も出来て楽しいし、その他も程よい時間配分なので、様々なアドベンチャー要素をちょうど良く取り込んだ欲張りツアーです。
私が参加した時はツアー客が私含め4人にツアーガイドさん1人。所々でガイドさんが写真を撮ってくれたり（後でホームページからダウンロード出来ます）、何よりガイドさんの気さくさから来るアットホームさが良かったです。また来年、実家に帰るような気分で来れそうな、またこのメンバーに会いに来たいと思えるような素敵な時間でした！

When we departed from Ishigaki Island, the wind and rain were strong, and I was quite anxious about my first canoe experience. However, upon arriving at Iriomote Island and receiving an explanation, my worries faded as the rain stopped just as we started paddling.

Under the guidance of our instructor, Mr. Iwamoto, we smoothly progressed into a mangrove forest. We learned about the differences between two types of roots, as well as the flowers and buds, followed by a break.

We then headed further upstream.

After getting off the canoe, we crawled up a narrow, steep slope for about 20 minutes and arrived at the Pinaisara Falls. I was surprised to hear that it has a drop of 55 meters.

After a break, we descended carefully to avoid slipping and falling. My thighs were feeling weak... I was healed by the species that inspired Ultraman, and we made our way back to the canoe launch point.

On the return trip, the tide was low, revealing sandy areas in places. We had to be careful not to get stuck in the shallows and to resist the current, but we finally arrived.

With a full course of activities including the sea, river, mountain climbing, waterfalls, and canoeing, it was a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

石垣島を出港する時は風雨が強く初めてのカヌー体験かなり不安でしたが、西表島に着き説明を受け、カヌーを漕ぎ出すころには雨が止み不安は払拭。

ガイドの岩本さんの指導のもと、順調に進むとマングローブの森に。2種類の根の違いや花や芽の説明を聞き、ブレークタイム。
さらに川の上流へ。

カヌーを降り、狭く急な斜面を這うように登ること20分、ピナイサーラの滝へ到着。
落差が55mと聞き驚き。

休憩後、滑って滑落しないように下山。
太ももにチカラが入らない…
ウルトラマンのモデルになった種で癒され、カヌー乗り場へ。

戻りは潮が引き、所々砂地が。浅瀬に乗り上げないように潮の流れに負けないように、やっと
到着。

海、川、山登り、滝、カヌー、フルコースのアクティビティで満腹、楽しい体験でした。

I had a great time canoeing and trekking. I heard that Sangara Falls gets a lot of visitors in the summer, but since it's the off-season now, it was just us. On the way back, the water level had decreased, making it quite challenging to paddle the canoe, but it was fun.
