I participated on May 2nd and 3rd with my son, who loves reptiles and amphibians. On the first day, we were able to find many coconut crabs, whip scorpions, and land crabs! However, my son expressed that he wanted to see a habu snake and a tree-climbing lizard (tears), so we decided to join again the next day.

There was a bit of trouble because we signed up last minute and weren't on the participant list, but the staff member Aizawa kindly provided a separate vehicle, and we went out on a private tour to search for creatures. When I mentioned that we had participated the day before, they took us to different locations, and we encountered creatures we hadn't found the previous day. We were also able to see the habu snake that my son wanted to see, which made for a very enjoyable time. Although we didn't see the tree-climbing lizard, I would like to try again next time we visit Ishigaki Island. Thank you to Aizawa and all the staff!

爬虫類両生類が大好きな息子と5/2、5/3の2日連続で参加しました。
1日目は、たくさんのヤシガニやサソリモドキ、オカガニなどを見つけることができました！
が、子供がハブときのぼりとかげもみたかったなぁ(涙)とのことだったので、急遽翌日も参加することに。
当日駆け込みで申し込んだためか、参加者リストに入っていないというトラブルはあったものの、スタッフのあいざわさんが別に車を出してくださり、プライベートツアー状態で生き物探しに出かけました。昨日も参加したことをお伝えしたら前日とはちがう場所へも案内いただき、前日見つけられなかった生き物にも出会えました。また子供が見たがっていたハブも見ることができ、大変楽しい時間となりました。きのぼりとかげはみられませんでしたが、こちらは次回石垣島に遊びに行ったときに再チャレンジしたいと思います。あいざわさんはじめ、スタッフのみなさまありがとうごさいました！

I signed up at the last minute the day before, but I was able to participate. I didn't see any large creatures, but I was able to see various animals like a habu snake, a coconut crab, and some larger hermit crabs. There were also firefly larvae, and I was able to see their light, so I really enjoyed it. I hope to see larger creatures next time. I participated hoping to see the starry sky, but I was glad to see the large coconut crabs moving in the darkness. While traveling, I was able to sit in the passenger seat, so I also got to see crabs and frogs crossing the night road, as well as owls perched on the power lines.

On the day of participation, unfortunately, it was a cloudy sky, so we couldn't see the stars, but the experience of walking along the dark mountain path with just a flashlight was truly a jungle tour. Before the tour started, the sky was overcast with heavy clouds that looked like it might rain, and I was a bit disappointed to hear that stargazing would be unlikely and that we would mainly be searching for creatures instead...

However, many creatures like large frogs, crabs, hermit crabs, and owls welcomed us, making me forget that disappointment!

Among them, we were told that seeing one coconut crab would be lucky, but that day we saw four! It was my first time seeing wild coconut crabs, and they were huge and impressive, which got both the participants and the guide very excited!

While enjoying the search for creatures, we headed out to the sandy beach, and when I looked up... the weather before the tour seemed like a lie as the sky cleared up, revealing a stunning starry sky! Personally, it was the most beautiful starry sky I've ever seen! It truly felt like a miracle after the rain✨ I think we were lucky, but I had more fun than I expected!

The guide was very friendly, and we had such great conversations that I wished we could talk even more!

If you visit Ishigaki Island, I highly recommend joining this tour!

*Please note that while walking through the jungle-like path, there are sharp leaves and branches, so it's necessary to wear long sleeves and long pants to avoid skin injuries!

中でも1匹見れたらラッキーと言われるヤシガニがその日はなんと4匹も！野生のヤシガニは初めてでとても大きく迫力があり、参加者そしてガイドの方も一緒に大興奮！笑

生物探しを楽しみながら砂浜に出て、ふと上を見上げると…
ツアー開始前のお天気が嘘のように晴れ渡り、満天の星空が広がっていました！
個人的に1番綺麗な星空でした！
まさに雨上がりの奇跡✨
その時の運もあったと思いますが、予想以上に楽しむ事が出来ました！

ガイドの方も気さくな方で終始話が弾みもっとお話をしていたいくらいでした！

※道中ジャングルのような中を進む際に葉先が尖ったものや枝が突き出ているところがあるため、肌を怪我しないように長袖、長ズボンの着用がいります！

I participated with three friends. We were taken to places that we wouldn't have been able to visit without the tour, and we encountered animals, insects, and birds that we had never seen before. The "Starlit & Jungle Night Tour" on March 11th was amazing! It was a trip to the Yaeyama Islands for my husband and me, celebrating my 60th birthday.

While searching for a tour that was different from the usual ones, we found this tour offered by your company. The humorous conversations from our two tour guides made the ride very enjoyable, and we arrived at our destination in no time.

During the jungle exploration, we couldn't encounter coconut crabs due to the season, but we had an unexpected meeting with a sea snake on the beach! We lost track of time and both returned to our childhood, having a great time. The starlit sky was enchanting, with a view of the stars and moon that is hard to see in urban areas back home due to city lights!

Although my husband and I usually have fewer conversations, we found ourselves chatting happily and had a truly enjoyable experience. This tour is fun for people of all ages. I highly recommend it for creating wonderful travel memories!

3/11(金)の『星空＆ジャングルナイトツアー』は最高でした！私の還暦㊗️を兼ねた夫婦2人の八重山諸島の旅行です。
王道のツアー以外を探していたところ弊社のこのツアーにたどり着きました。ツアーガイドのお2人のユーモア溢れる車内での会話で大変和ませて頂き、あっという間に目的地に到着。
ジャングル探検では季節的にヤシガニとは遭遇出来ませんどしあが、なんと浜辺ではウミヘビと未知との遭遇！時間を忘れて夫婦2人共童心に戻って楽しませて頂きました。また星空は本土では市街地の灯りが邪魔してなかなか観れない幻想的な星、月景色を満喫しました！普段は会話も少なくなってきた夫婦でしたが会話も弾み大変楽しい体験をさせて頂きました。
老若男女問わず楽しめるツアーでした。旅の想い出に是非ともお勧め致します。

I experienced a course where we explored the jungle and watched the stars on the beach.

In the jungle, I was able to observe creatures I had never seen before, such as lizards and large coconut crabs. It was a great experience to see their actual size and movements, which is different from just seeing them in photos. Also, since there were no lights around, the stars were very clear.

The guide was very informative, not only about the jungle but also about the owls and snakes we encountered along the way, which was wonderful.

It was an incredibly dense 1 to 2 hours!

Before we set off, we were informed that due to the cloudy weather, it would be impossible to see the stars, and that we could cancel for free or change the date if we wanted. I thought it would be fine just to stroll through the forest at night, so I decided to participate.

According to the guide, December is not suitable for stargazing because of the frequent cloudy skies. I hoped to see things like coconut crabs in the night forest, but I mostly saw plants. I prepared myself for this, but I was disappointed. It seems that there are fewer animals in winter, so it might be better not to visit during this season.

I had low expectations since I heard that it’s not very active during the colder months, but on this day, I found three coconut crabs and had a wonderful experience being able to touch them. The staff were very friendly, and the night forest experience, where we borrowed rubber boots and flashlights to go to the beach, was also enjoyable. Although the rainy season meant we couldn’t see a beautiful starry sky, it was a very satisfying tour.

Changing into my boots, we ventured into the jungle-like thicket, and my son was incredibly excited while searching for creatures! We got to see rare animals up close, like coconut crabs and scorpions, making it an experience that could only be had here. In the end, we were also moved to see a sky full of stars peeking through the clouds! The guide didn’t give up on finding creatures until the very end and even spotted an owl from the car on the way back. It was a truly memorable tour.

I joined hoping to see the starry sky, but the weather wasn't good and it was cloudy. It rained occasionally, so I was almost ready to give up on the stars.

The guide said, "Let's look for creatures instead of stars," which made my daughter, who is a high school girl and really dislikes bugs and reptiles, cringe (laughs). However, the guide worked hard to find crabs, palm crabs, golden stink bugs, and scorpion-like creatures. I had fun seeing creatures that are not often found in Kyoto.

I was able to see a little bit of the stars through the gaps in the clouds, but it wasn't the starry sky I had hoped for, where it looked like they might fall. It's nature, so there's nothing we can do about it.

I'm looking forward to next time.

During the journey, we had a lot of fun learning interesting trivia about the Yaeyama Islands. Although it lasted for two and a half hours, I was completely engaged and enjoyed every moment. If I could request a guide, I would definitely want Ryo-san again! His knowledge and service were exceptional.

We explored not only the dangers related to plants, insects, and marine life but also looked for local animals like bats and owls that are found in Ishigaki Island. He even took us to a spot where we could finally see the stars, which were hidden by clouds at the beginning of the tour. Overall, it was an incredibly thoughtful experience. I believe this activity is enjoyable for everyone, not just families with children!

I participated in the stargazing and jungle exploration night tour. Just before departure, it started to rain, and we were informed that we might not see the stars and that there might not be many creatures out. However, the guide, Yudai, seemed really great, so I decided to join the tour instead of skipping it.

On the way, he shared various stories about Ishigaki and even spotted an owl resting on the guardrail for us to check out. He was truly a professional.

During the jungle exploration, we caught a coconut crab and observed it up close, with him bravely putting his body at risk of being pinched. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the stars, but it was a very satisfying tour.

I highly recommend it!
