I was picked up at the hotel.
We were able to board the ferry without much waiting after arriving at the terminal.
Once we arrived at Iriomote Island, we could immediately take a boat to the mangrove forest, and when we finished, a bus was waiting to take us to the next destination...
Everything went smoothly without any unnecessary waiting time, which I thought was great.

I enjoyed an island-hopping tour from Ishigaki Island to Iriomote, Yubu, and Taketomi Island. We explored the mangroves by boat, rode water buffalo, and were soothed by the sounds of the island's shamisen against the beautiful sea. We had a lunch buffet, and on Taketomi Island, we rented electric bicycles (which I really got into). I was worried about being able to ride them since I'm in my mid-50s and there are many hills, but it was so much fun to ride with the wind. My first solo trip to Ishigaki.
I was lucky to have a bright, sunny day with high temperatures, making it the perfect trip.
The male driver and the female guide were both smiling, and she explained various things about Ishigaki during the ride. I was truly healed by the beautiful scenery, the atmosphere of the island, and their smiles. It was really enjoyable.

After getting off the boat, we moved by bus. The bus driver was also a lot of fun. The driver's stories might have been the most enjoyable part! 😁 We headed to Yufu Island by water buffalo. I'm shy and often have a hard time enjoying things, but the bus guide and the driver were friendly and made it easy to have fun! I'm glad I signed up for the tour (^^). The weather in Ishigaki Island wasn't great in January, but that day we were blessed with clear skies, and I was satisfied to be able to do some sightseeing.

The weather was great and perfect. The guides were professionals, so their explanations were excellent, and they added some funny stories here and there, which was nice. The highlights of Iriomote Island depend on luck, as you might see some rare animals. The water buffalo cart ride was truly a great experience. Yubu Island felt a bit lacking, though. The streets of Taketomi Island felt like a different world. This tour was really good.

Since my flight was in the afternoon, I participated on the last day of my trip. This time, I didn't rent a car and stayed near the remote island terminal to go on an island tour, so I was left with some regrets about not being able to see much of the island. However, thanks to this tour, I was able to efficiently visit spots like Kabira Bay and other attractions in Ishigaki.
