I had a great time efficiently visiting three remote islands for the first time. I was able to enjoy sightseeing without feeling rushed.

During the ferry ride, I was on the deck, but the wind was quite strong, so it might have been better to sit inside. I was satisfied with exploring Taketomi Island freely by renting a bicycle.

I thought it would be a busier tour, but I was able to take my time and really enjoy the mangroves. The guide's explanations were clear and enjoyable, which was great.

The sightseeing was as I expected. The guide was the only male, but he was a nice person. However, it was a bit disappointing that his speech seemed to be memorized and delivered in a monotonous tone, making it hard to understand, and his voice wasn't very clear. The driver was also pleasant. The meals were good, but they felt like standard set meals that you could find anywhere. They were better than bento boxes. The scenery at Kabira Bay changes with the weather. It might be amazing when the weather is nice.

観光は思って通りでした。
ガイドさんは唯一の男の方でしたが 感じいい方です。ただ喋りが 暗記されたことを 何度もしゃべっているためか、一辺倒のイントネーションで伝わりにくく 声も通らずで聞きずらいのが残念でした。
運転手さんも感じよかったですね。お食事は美味しいというか どこでも食べれる感じの定食です。
お弁当とかよりいいです。
川平湾はお天気で風景が変わりますね。お天気だと最高かも。

The optional tours for the cruise were expensive, so I booked a local tour directly through VELTRA. It was about half the price of similar tours on the ship, making it a great deal. I definitely recommend it for Japanese travelers. However, there is a risk that the ship may not arrive as scheduled. In our case, we arrived 30 minutes late and missed the tour, but we took a taxi and joined the tour midway. The taxi driver was kind and provided us with sightseeing information. Experiences like this are part of the joy of traveling!

As soon as we arrived at Taketomi Island, we enjoyed a glass-bottom boat (with air conditioning! Apparently, this is the only company that offers it so far). There were no other guests, so we had the boat to ourselves.
After that, we enjoyed a water buffalo cart ride, and the tour ended around 16:15.
It was too hot to feel like going outside, so we waited for the bus to the port in the waiting area (which also had air conditioning).

It was quite a good deal and a lot of fun.

This was my second bus tour on Ishigaki Island.

The weather wasn't great on the day, but we didn't get caught in the rain at all.

I chose the morning tour again because I thought it would be nice to have an interesting guide.

The tour route was as follows:

Gathering at Higashi Transportation Bus Terminal ⇒ Tour of Tōrin-ji Temple (view from the bus) ⇒ Tomb of the Chinese ⇒ Nagura Bay (view from the bus) ⇒ Kabira Park (you can ride a glass-bottom boat for a fee) ⇒ Yamabare Ranch and Poza's Table (lunch) ⇒ Yaeyama Palm Grove in Yonaha ⇒ Tamatorizaki Observatory ⇒ New Nannū Island Ishigaki Airport ⇒ Mangrove Forest of Miyara River (view from the bus) ⇒ Dispersal at Higashi Transportation Bus Terminal.

The tour lasted from 9:30 to about 14:00.

As always, the guide's stories were enjoyable, and they even sang at various points, so I was never bored.

We rode the glass-bottom boat at Kabira Bay, but unfortunately, due to rough seas that day, we couldn't go to the sea turtle point. However, the water was clear otherwise, and we were able to see sharks, so I had a good time.

For lunch, it was the same as before, a self-proclaimed mini hamburger made with Ishigaki beef (I’m not a big fan of hamburgers, so I wasn't too happy about it).

This tour allows you to visit various places without having to drive yourself, and it's great for families to enjoy together.

If I could be picky, I think it would be nice to have a few more routes to choose from for future visits.

川平湾でグラスボートに乗りましたが、この日は海がしけていた事もあり、ウミガメのポイントには行けず残念でしたが、それ以外では海も濁っておらず、シャークも見られたので、それなりに楽しめました。

昼食は前と変わらず、自称石垣牛のミニハンバーグ(笑)です（私はハンバーグが余り好きではないので嬉しくない）。

このツアー、自分で運転する事もなく各所を巡って貰え、家族でワイワイしながらで良いですよ。

贅沢を言うとあと何ルートかあると再訪した時に選択の幅が増えて良いかなぁって思います。

Recently, my travel pattern at beach resorts has been to tackle various experiential optional activities first, and then do the classic sightseeing on the last day. For this reason, this regular sightseeing bus was a great choice. The guide's stories and songs were excellent, and we didn't miss any of the famous landmarks. I was able to efficiently visit the attractions of the islands. We crossed to Yubu Island on a water buffalo, but water flowed into the seats, so I recommend participating with shoes that can get wet. The water buffalo was very cute (*^^*). On Taketomi Island, I chose the cycling plan. I went to look for star sand, but it seemed like many had already been collected, so I couldn't find as much as I expected (^^; Also, I got lost on the way back to the bicycle rental shop and was worried about making it back in time for the meeting, so I think those who are not confident in their sense of direction should allow extra time on the way back. It was a very enjoyable tour!

We rode a water buffalo and explored the main street of Taketomi Island, and finally spent a little time at the beach. If we had arranged everything individually, it would have taken much longer, but since it was all set up, the transitions from the water buffalo to the bus were smooth. It was just as I expected, and it met my goals, so I'm satisfied. If you want to fully enjoy it, I think it's better to take your time and go at your own pace.

We took a ride on a water buffalo, but it seemed to have a mind of its own, which took quite a bit of time (laughs). The weather wasn't great, but we still had a decent time.

I participated in this highly-rated tour because I was traveling with my elderly mother and it was difficult for us to move around on our own without driving. Since it was a morning course, we were lucky to have a fantastic guide. It was also appealing that the tour included the places I really wanted to visit, like Kabira Bay.

Unfortunately, I have hearing difficulties, so I couldn't hear the guide's explanations in the bus due to the noise of the vehicle. (My mother could hear everything clearly, so this is just my ear issue.)

However, once we got off the bus and listened to the guide, the explanations were very clear and enjoyable.

The palm tree grove in Yonaha felt like a trip back to prehistoric times, which was thrilling.

At Kabira Bay, since it was Friday, there was a long line at the glass-bottom boat boarding area. I was disappointed thinking we might not be able to ride today, but the guide advocated for us and prioritized our group, allowing us to enjoy the experience. I'm glad we chose this tour!

The highlight of the trip was definitely the Tamatorizaki Observatory. The clear weather made for breathtaking views! The colors of the sea were distinctly separated into blue, indigo, and green, sparkling beautifully—it was truly an indescribable landscape.

To be able to enjoy such beautiful scenery one after another made this a wonderful tour. I highly recommend it.

Additionally, the guide sang "Asadoya Yunta," which my mother said she had heard when she was little. It was a delightful surprise to hear her humming along to the chorus, "Matahari nu tsuindara kanushamayo" and "Sa-yui yui." It's rare for my mother to sing, so this was special. It was also nice that the lyrics were included in the pamphlet (but it would be even better if we understood the meaning).

この度は、高齢の母と一緒という事と、運転出来ず自力で移動するのも大変なので、評判の良いこのツアーに参加致しました。
午前コースなので、名物ガイドさんに大当たりしました。
是非行きたかった川平湾が入っていたのも魅力でした。

残念なのは、私は難聴なので、
ガイドさんが車中で説明してくださるお話が
バスの走行音に紛れて聞き取れなかった事です。（母にはちゃんと聞こえていましたから、これは私の耳の問題です。）

でも下車してからお話をうかがうと、大変わかり易くて楽しかったです。

米原のヤシの群生もどこか原始時代にトリップしたようでどきどきしました。

川平湾は金曜日という事で、グラスボート乗り場が長蛇の列。
今日は乗れないかも知れないと、ガッカリしましたが、ガイドさんが掛け合ってくださって、優先的にツアーの皆を案内して下さり楽しむことが出来ました。
ツアーで良かった！

そしてどこよりも素晴らしかったのは
玉取崎展望台。
綺麗に晴れた事もあり、まさに息を呑むような絶景！
海の色が青に、藍色に、緑にとくっきり分かれて煌めいていて、本当に筆舌に尽くしがたい風景でした、

こんなに美しい風景を次々と楽しめるなんて、素晴らしいツアーです。お勧めします。

それから、ガイドさんの歌の中の
「安里屋ユンタ」、母が小さい頃に聞いたことがあるそうで、サビの部分
「マタハーリヌツィンダラ カヌシャマヨ」「サーユイユイ」
と一緒に口ずさんでいるのが嬉しい驚きでした。
だって、母がうたうなんて、滅多にないんですよ。
パンフレットに歌詞が載っているのも良かったです（でも意味が分かるともっと嬉しい）

I stayed near the bus terminal and was scheduled to take a flight at 2:30 PM on the last day. With luggage in hand, I was thinking about how to spend the morning. I found this tour, which perfectly matched my conditions, so I made a reservation. I was also interested in the male guide's island songs in the morning after reading the reviews. There were over 30 participants, including a group from Taiwan, as well as people from Hong Kong and South Korea, and the guide occasionally used a Pocketalk for translation. It was very international. The male guide's explanations included jokes and were very easy to understand.

The glass bottom boat at Kabira Bay was quite crowded, and I almost gave up, but the shop was flexible and managed to charter a boat for us, which was great. We were able to see various coral reefs and sea life. The lunch at a restaurant with a great view had more side dishes than I expected, which was surprising. I wanted to hear more of the sanshin performance and island songs.

We arrived at the airport at 1:45 PM and got off there. I was able to board the plane safely, and it turned out to be a meaningful day. With the meal included, I thought this price was a great deal.

川平湾のグラスボードはかなり混んでいて一瞬諦めかけたのですがお店側が融通をきかせてくれなんとか１隻チャーターでき良かったです。色々な珊瑚礁とミモが見れました。昼食も見晴らしの良いレストランでおかずが思いの外多くて驚きました。三線での演奏と島唄はもっと聴きたいくらいでした。
１３時４５分に空港着で、ここで下車。無事に飛行機に乗れ有意義な一日と成りました。お食事も付きこのお値段はお得と思いました。

This was my first trip to Ishigaki Island, and since I was traveling with my 85-year-old mother, I chose this tour because it was not too strenuous and allowed us to visit various places.

Even though it was a tour, I appreciated that the transportation was well arranged at key points, giving it a feel of personal exploration. I think it would be impossible to travel this efficiently on our own.

During the mangrove cruising, I felt like I was traveling through a jungle river in another country. On the water buffalo cart, I was lucky enough to sit at the very front both going and returning, so I could enjoy the scenery of the island straight ahead as the water buffalo's rear, shoulders, and horns swayed gently.

On Taketomi Island, we went cycling. It was challenging for my mother, but we took it slow, sometimes getting off to push the bike, and enjoyed the charming houses, the lush large trees of the south, and the unique shisa statues. At Kaiji Beach, we were also able to look for star sand. It was great that we could choose a return boat that was an hour later.

竹富島ではサイクリング。
母には大変でしたが
ゆっくり、時々降りて押したりしながら
風情ある家並み、生い茂る南の大きな木々、個性的なシーサーを楽しめました。
カイジ浜では星砂もさがせました。
サイクリングは、帰る船を1時間遅く選択出来るのも良かったです。

The water buffalo cart ride lasted about 30 minutes, so I rented a bicycle for the remaining time. The rental bicycle costs around 1,000 yen, and it's a great way to explore the island, so I highly recommend it. There are many places on the island where you’ll want to take photos. I had so much fun that I didn't have enough time!

I thought the tour that visits three islands in one day was very efficient. During the mangrove cruise, the guide provided explanations, allowing us to learn a lot, and we were able to reach a rare tree (I forgot the name...) that we couldn't access during low tide, which was great.

When crossing to Yubu Island, we rode a water buffalo cart and enjoyed a leisurely time while listening to Okinawan folk songs. I noticed that there was a family tree for the water buffaloes, and each one had a proper name, which made me realize how well they are cared for.

On Taketomi Island, I chose the glass-bottom boat and bus tour. The glass-bottom boat swayed a bit. I was expecting to see beautiful coral reefs, but I learned that the corals have died off and are currently slowly regenerating. While I was able to see sea anemones, clownfish, and colorful fish, it felt a bit lacking.

The microbus tour taught us about the lives of the people on Taketomi Island and allowed us to find star sand, making for an efficient and easy sightseeing experience.

Although it was a brief visit to the three islands, I recommend this tour as it guides you through the highlights of each.

マングローブクルーズではガイドの説明が有るためよく知ることが出来、引き潮ではたどり着けない珍しい木（名前忘れました・・）のところまで行くこともできとても良かったです。

由布島へ渡る時には水牛車に乗り沖縄民謡を聞きながらゆったりとした時間を楽しみました。水牛の家系図が有り一頭ずつきちんと名前が付けられ、とても大切にされているのだなと思いました。

竹富島ではグラスボートとバス観光を選びました。
グラスボートはちょっぴり揺れます。
サンゴ礁の美しい海を期待していたのですが、サンゴが死滅し現在は少しづつ再生してきているとのことでした。イソギンチャクとクマノミや色鮮やかな魚は見ることが出来ましたがちょっと物足りないかも。

マイクロバスで竹富島の人々の生活を教えてくれたり星の砂を見つけたりとこれもまた効率よく楽に観光出来ました。

３島をさらっとではありましたがそれぞれの見どころを案内してくれるこのツアーをお勧めします。

My stay on Yubu Island was also very relaxing with the water buffalo, and I had a great time. However, among the elderly men guiding the water buffalo, there was one 88-year-old man who was hitting the buffalo with a stick while leading them, and it was really sad to watch because the buffalo looked so pitiful. The buffalo he was hitting was also an elderly 17-year-old, working hard to carry heavy people, and it was truly heartbreaking. The other men were treating the buffalo very kindly, so that one man stood out as unusual. According to the elderly man who was with my water buffalo cart, that old man doesn't change no matter how much he is warned. It's hopeless. Is there anything that can be done about it? It was such a wonderful experience overall, but that part really hurt my heart. The experience on Taketomi Island afterward also became a lifelong memory. I participated in the 2:30 PM boat. It was cheaper than arranging it individually, so it was a good deal. After seeing the water buffalo, I rented a bicycle for an hour. Since I had to catch the return boat by 5 PM, it felt rushed. The second floor of the boat is hot like a sauna, so I recommend sitting downstairs in the summer. I'm glad I could leave my luggage.

Since I was traveling with my elderly mother and uncle and aunt, I chose this tour as it seemed manageable. Although the weather was unfortunately rainy at times, it was good to see that the elderly group was able to enjoy Ishigaki Island to some extent.

This tour may not be recommended for those who want to spend a lot of time at one location or for those looking to be very active, but I think it’s a good plan for those who want to efficiently enjoy Ishigaki Island.

後期高齢者の母と叔父・叔母夫婦を連れての観光だったので、あまり無理のなさそうなこのツアーを選びました。雨が降ったり止んだりの生憎の天気ではありましたが、高齢者御一行もそれなりに石垣島を堪能してくれたようで良かったです。
