A Solo Trip to Ishigaki Island

This was my first time on a bus tour, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. I was excited about visiting a tropical island without thinking too much, but the guide's fluent narration provided insights into the history and connections of the island and its surrounding islets, which was very educational.

For lunch, I had a delicious Ishigaki beef hamburger. The mozuku vinegar was quite strong, and if you eat it too quickly, it can make you cough. But it was tasty!

The guide's performance of traditional songs while playing the sanshin was impressive. I was truly amazed. While there isn't much freedom in the itinerary, I recommend this tour for anyone visiting the island for the first time.

バスツアー自体初めてですがとても良い経験をさせていただきました。
なにも考えず南国の島
などと浮かれていましたがガイドさんの流暢な語りで島や周辺の離島などの歴史や関わりなどを知り、とても勉強になりました。
ランチは石垣牛のハンバーグで美味しかったです。もずく酢は酢が強くて勢い良く食べるとむせます。でも美味しい

ガイドさんの三線を弾きながらの民謡は圧巻でした。流石だと思います
自由度はありませんが初めて島に行かれる方は参加するのをお勧めします。

I bought this ticket to visit the area near the island terminal since I will be staying a little away from the city in Maesari. It can take you not only to the city but also to the airport, Kabira Bay, and Hirakubo Cape, making bus sightseeing possible.

市街地から少し離れた真栄里へ滞在するので離島ターミナル付近を訪れるためにこのチケットを買っています。街中へはもちろんですが、空港や川平湾、平久保崎まで行けるのでバス観光が可能です。

I always use this bus ticket when visiting Ishigaki Island. It's very convenient since there's no need for payment each time. Thanks to this ticket, I can always go out with ease.

石垣島を訪問する際はこのバスチケットを必ず利用しています。
都度支払いがないので大変楽です。このチケットのおかげでいつもフットワーク軽くお出かけができています。

It's easy to exchange when boarding the bus, and just going back and forth between the airport and the island terminal makes it worth it, so it's cost-effective.

バス乗車時に難なく引き換えでき、空港と離島ターミナルを往復するだけでも元が取れるため、コスパがいい。

Since Kawahira Bay was not accessible due to high waves, we were guided to a different location. Other tours were operating boats in that area, but they had a style where you walked from the shore. Additionally, the staff mentioned that stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is mostly not possible during this season, which raises doubts about why they were promoting tours that included SUP. However, the guide was very kind, and I enjoyed the tour itself.

川平湾が高波でNGだったので、別の場所への案内でした。他のツアーはそのエリアで船を出してましたが、岸から歩くスタイルでした。また、supはこの時期は殆ど出来ないと当日スタッフが仰っていました。なぜsupの出来るツアーを募集していたのか、不信感。ガイドの方はとても親切でツアー自体は楽しめました。

Due to the approaching typhoon, all locations for SUP, snorkeling, and canoeing were changed from Kabira Bay, but I had a really enjoyable time♡

The guides were very kind and warmly welcomed us with attentive hospitality!

If I have the opportunity to visit Ishigaki Island again, I would like to experience activities at Kabira Bay next time!

台風接近の影響により、SUP、シュノーケリング、カヌーのすべてのロケーションが川平湾から変更となりましたが、大変楽しい時間を過ごさせていただきました♡

If you come to Ishigaki Island, you definitely want to experience the glass-bottom boat. I arrived at the reception earlier than my reservation time, but they kindly changed me to an earlier departure without any waiting time. We efficiently visited all the highlight spots, from the shallow areas to the offshore table corals, and the 30 minutes flew by with enjoyable explanations. I was lucky to see two sea turtles as well.

石垣島に来たらぜひ体験したいグラスボート。予約より早い時間に受付に着いてしまいましたが、前の時間の便に変えていただき待ち時間なく乗ることができました。浅瀬から沖のテーブルサンゴまで見どころスポットを効率よく回ってくれ、楽しい説明で30分があっという間でした。ウミガメも2匹見られてラッキーでした。

I was amazed by the sheer number of fish I've never seen before, all so colorful! I was also thrilled to see Nemo in person, something I've only seen in videos before.

Although the chance of rain was 80%, it was beautifully sunny, and we were able to experience everything without getting wet. The mangroves offered a breathtaking panorama that felt like something out of a dream. While paddleboarding, the waves were gentle, making it easy to ride. The maneuverability was great, so I highly recommend it. Meeting the Ryukyu Kingfisher was a highlight, and the guide's insights were unique to this place, making it a wonderful memory. In the Blue Cave, the sea, coral reefs, and colorful fish of all sizes were stunning. I did feel a bit unwell at one point, but the kind words from the staff helped me get through it. Everyone else on the tour was lovely too, and we waved goodbye with big smiles as we parted ways.

降水確率80%でしたが、しっかり晴れて雨にあたることなく、体験できました。
マングローブでは、日本と思えないパノラマが広がり感動しました。サップでは、波も少なく簡単に乗ることができました。小回りもきくので、とてもおすすめです。リュウキュウアカショウビンに出会えて、ガイドさんの案内も、ここならでは！と言うことばかりで、とても、いい思い出になりました。青の洞窟では、海と珊瑚礁、大小のカラフルな魚達、美しかったです。途中、気分が悪くなってしまいましたが、優しい声かけをしていただき、無事すごせました。また、同じツアーに参加した皆さんも、素敵な方で別れ際は大きく手を振って笑顔でわかれました。

From the airport, you can easily and affordably travel to the island terminal with frequent services. It's even better if your accommodation is close to that route. Taxis were also easy to catch. If you use a hotel that is on the route, your destination, and a plan that includes transportation, the travel costs are quite reasonable.

空港から、離島ターミナルまでは、本数があり格安で移動できます。宿泊先が、その路線近くだと尚いいです。おタクシーもつかまりやすかったです。路線から、滞在するホテル、行き先、また、送迎付きプランを使えば、交通費は、かなり手頃です。

I found it very convenient during my last use, so this is my second time using it. I plan to stay in Ishigaki for another two months, and I intend to use it about twice a month from now on.

前回使用してかなり便利だったので、2回目の利用です。

I came to Ishigaki Island for a work vacation. I live away from the city center, but I was relieved that there are buses running since I'm anxious about driving. Using the free pass, the cost is almost equivalent to just one-way fare, so I would like to use it again!

リゾバで石垣島に来ました。
市街地から離れたところに住んでいますが、車の運転が不安なのでバスが通っていて助かりました。
フリーパスを使うとほぼ片道だけで素が取れるレベルに等しいので、また利用したいと思います！

I always find it convenient to use, but this time I forgot to purchase in advance and bought it just before the bus arrived. Since I needed to display the voucher, I was a bit rushed, but I was able to show it right away. Once again, I was grateful to be able to make a cashless purchase while traveling.

いつも便利に利用しておりますが、今回はあらかじめ の購入をお忘れており バスが来る直前に購入しました。バウチャー券の表示が必要なので時間なく少し焦りましたが、すぐに表示することができ 今回も旅先でキャッシュレスにて購入でき助かりました。

The weather was cloudy with occasional sunshine, but thanks to the sun being hidden behind the clouds, I was able to enjoy a relatively pleasant SUP experience. This was my second time doing SUP, but at times the wind was strong, and I felt like I would be swept out to sea if I didn't keep paddling, haha. With the precise advice from my instructor, Sugi-chan, sitting down reduced the resistance, allowing me to return to the shore. I had a wonderful time enjoying SUP for about an hour!

曇り時々晴れという天気でしたが、太陽が雲に隠れていたおかげで比較的気持ちよくSUP体験ができました。
今回は2回目のSUPでしたが、時々風が強く吹き常に漕いでいないと沖に流されてしまいそうでした笑
インストラクターのすぎちゃんの的確なアドバイスで座ると抵抗が少なくなり岸の方へ戻ることもできました。
約1時間ゆったりとSUP体験ができてとっても楽しかったです！！

You can use it for 24 hours from the time of purchase, so there’s no disadvantage regardless of when you arrive in Ishigaki Island. However, this time, I received a printout that only allowed me to use it for 23 hours and 59 minutes from the start of use. I brought this up to the driver, but he insisted that there was no mistake. Since I couldn't get anywhere with that, I called the office, and it turned out that the driver had made an error. As a result, I was able to get it reissued.

購入から24時間使えて、いつ石垣島に到着しても有効期間で不利になることはありません。
が、今回は利用開始から23時間59分しか使えない印字で引き換えとなったので運転士に申し出ましたが間違いないとの一点張り。
埒が明かないので 営業所に電話したら運転士の誤りであることが判明、結果再発行してもらいました。

It's convenient because you can use it for 24 hours from the time of redemption, not just the purchase date. You can redeem it immediately by simply showing the voucher screen.

Wow, it was amazing. I think it's a must-visit when you go to Ishigaki Island. The boarding time was irregular, so I boarded just 10 minutes after checking in. As someone who was traveling by bus, it was the best experience.

いやー、最高でした。石垣島に行ったら1度は行くべきだと思います。運航時間が不定期だったので受付後１０分で乗船でした。バスで行動していた身分としては最高でした。

I participated in the mangrove canoeing and snorkeling activities.

Honestly, both activities were amazing! I spent the entire day with them, experiencing mangrove canoeing in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon. The guides were incredibly kind and attentive, which made it easy to relax and enjoy. Both guides had extensive knowledge and experience, allowing us to learn while having fun, making it the best day ever.

I was worried about the weather, but they made sure we could enjoy ourselves no matter what the conditions were, so I was very satisfied!

マングローブカヌーandシュノーケリングに参加させていただきました。

率直にどちらのアクティビティも最高でした♪
午前はマングローブカヌー体験、午後はシュノーケリング体験と丸一日お世話になりましたが、とにかくガイドさんが親切丁寧で安心して楽しめた上に、どちらのガイドさんも経験知識が豊富で楽しみながら学ぶ事ができ最高の1日でした。

天候の心配もありましたが、どんな天気でも楽しめるよう対応していただいたので大満足です！

If you check the time properly and take action, it's the best ticket. It costs more than the ticket price for a round trip to the northernmost cape, but this ticket will cover it.

きちんと時間を調べて行動すれば最高のチケットです。最北端の岬往復でチケット代以上かかりますがそれがこのチケットで間に合います。

This year's rainy season started early, and the forecast predicted rain ☂️, but while traveling by bus, it rained a bit, and by the time we arrived at our destination, it had stopped, allowing us to enjoy sightseeing without using an umbrella. The view of Kabira Bay was amazing.

梅雨入りが今年は早くて予報では☂️でしたが🚌で移動中は降っても現地に着くと止んで傘を使わずに観光出来ました。川平湾の景色最高でした。

The arrival at Ishigaki Airport and the issuance of the one-day bus pass purchased at the bus stop went very smoothly, and I arrived at the island terminal as scheduled!

石垣空港に到着からバス停で今回購入の1日バス乗車券発券まで非常にスムーズで離島ターミナルまで予定通り到着！

The weather was unfortunate, but it was a fulfilling tour. There were only a few of us that day, which gave it a private feel. Thank you to the guide for your thoughtfulness. This was my first trip in May, and indeed, Okinawa is ideal before the rainy season. Next time, I will definitely plan a trip by April.

お天気は残念でしたが、充実したツアーでした。当日は少人数でプライベート感有　ガイドさんお気づかい　ありがとうございました。
今回は初めての5月の旅行　やはり沖縄は梅雨入り前が理想的　次回は必ず4月までの旅行　計画たてます。

I think a bus tour that includes the attractions of Ishigaki Island, including Kabira Bay, is perfect for travelers who are unfamiliar with the island. Additionally, I used it on the last day, and it was possible to get off at Ishigaki Airport along the way, which allowed me to make full use of my time on the final day.

川平湾を含む石垣島の見所をバスツアーでまわれるので、島に不慣れな旅行者にはぴったりだと思います。
また、最終日に利用させていただき、途中石垣空港で下車も可能だったので、最終日の時間をフルに有効活用出来ました。

I was very satisfied to see the colorful fish and beautiful corals of the tropical region! The guide's attention to safety was thorough, allowing me to enjoy the tour with peace of mind!

南国のカラフルな魚たちと綺麗なサンゴが見れて大満足でした！ガイドの人の安全配慮も行き届いていて、安心してツアーを過ごせました！

Initially, we planned to do stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) at Kawahira Bay, but due to high waves, we ended up at Miyara River instead. It was a lot of fun! We got caught in the rain, but since you get wet while paddleboarding anyway, I highly recommend experiencing it on a rainy day! Our guide, Mr. Tsuchiya, was handsome and comes highly recommended! 👍

当初は川平湾でsup予定でしたが高波の影響で宮良川でのsupとなりましたが楽しかったです。雨に振られましたが、supで濡れるので雨の日こそ体験しちゃった方がいいくらいのオススメ度です！土屋さんというガイドさん、イケメンでオススメです👍

The weather was unfortunate, but we were able to efficiently tour Ishigaki. It was a sightseeing experience rich in essence. The bus guide's explanations deepened our understanding of Ishigaki.

あいにくの天気でしたが、効率よく石垣を観光できました。エッセンスが濃縮された観光でした。バスガイドさんの解説も石垣の理解を深めました。

Unfortunately, the weather was not great, but the water was beautiful. We were able to stop at a point, and the staff member explained things to us. We got to see various things. However, since I was seated at the back on the first ride, I could hardly hear the staff member's explanations. The smell of gasoline was quite strong, so wearing a mask is necessary.

What I was dissatisfied with was that I arrived earlier than my reservation time, and I wasn't sure how to check in. They said that those with reservations could go first, but the staff member didn't say anything and just told us to line up there because it wasn't time yet. I was confused about where to stand since there were so many people in line, and I couldn't tell which line was for what.

I was unsure where to line up, so I asked, "Should I stand at the very back?" and they said, "Okay, I'll check you in next, so please wait." Then, when I was checked in, I was given an earlier time. I didn't even ask for an earlier time, and the ticket seller's response was quite unpleasant. They were lacking in communication. I understand they might be busy, but I wish they would listen to each person's words properly. Their attitude was definitely not very friendly either.

あいにくの天気でしたが
海の中は綺麗で、ポイントに止まってもらえて、お兄さんが説明してくれていました。
色々と見ることができました。
ただ、最初に乗って奥の端の席だったので
お兄さんの説明がほぼ聞こえない。
ガソリンの匂いがすごくてマスクは必要ですね。
不満だったのは、予約時間よりも早く着いて
受付の仕方が良くわからなかったのですが
予約有りの方は先にどうぞ、だったのですが
受付の方は何も言わずに、時間がまだなのでそこに並んでくださいと言われ、そこ？
沢山のひとが並んでどこが何の列がかわからない。
と思いながら並ぶ場所がわからず
どこに並べば良い？
1番後ろ？ですか？
て聞いたら、じゃあ次に受付するから
待って下さい、、
そして次に受付したら早い時間を渡されました。
別に早くして欲しいとは言っていないのに
チケット売り場の方の対応が気分悪かったです。言葉が足らな過ぎます。
忙しいとは思いますが
一人一人ちゃんと、こちらの言葉を聞いて欲しいです。
愛想も決して良くはなかったです。

On May 3rd, I participated with my family of three. It was a bus tour where I was impressed by the vast knowledge of our guide, Sunakawa. The explanations were easy to understand, and both the songs and the sanshin performance were wonderful. We experienced the mysteries of nature in the limestone cave, and on the glass-bottom boat at Kabira Bay (additional fee), we were able to see sea turtles, schools of grouper, and colorful tropical fish.

5/3に家族3人で参加。
ガイドの砂川さんの知識量の多さに感服しながらのバスツアーでした。
説明も分かりやすく、歌も三線も素晴らしいものでした。
鍾乳洞で自然の神秘に触れ、川平湾のグラスボート（別途料金）ではウミガメやグルクンの群れ、カラフルな熱帯魚達をみることが出来ました。

Since I arrived quite early before my reserved time, I asked if I could be accommodated earlier, and they kindly agreed. Perhaps because it was just before Golden Week, the boat wasn't full, so there was plenty of space inside. I could see corals and fish through the large glass screen. The sea was a bit murky, but I was lucky enough to spot a sea turtle and a clownfish.

予約時間よりかなり早く着いたので時間を早めてもらうお願いをしたら、快く了解いただけました。GW直前だからか満員ではなかったため船の中も余裕があり、大画面ガラスで珊瑚や魚が見えました。少し海が濁り気味だったのですが、ウミガメやカクレクマノミも見つけることが出来てラッキーでした。

I signed up on-site, and it was really a great deal! ♪ It's easy since you just have to show it. If you're not using a rental car, taking the bus is a must, so I definitely recommend it! ❤️
