Due to the weather, it was quite windy, and we switched to stand-up paddleboarding in the mangroves and snorkeling in Nago Bay, but we had a great time taking lots of photos.

That day, for safety reasons, it seemed that other tour companies were also gathering at the same location, so both experiences had quite a few people, but I think if the weather is stable, it would be a bit more relaxed.

They also provided pick-up right in front of the hotel, and since it was fine for the bus to be wet, I didn't need to change, which was great because I had very little luggage.

They dropped us off at the terminal for lunch, so I had no trouble choosing a place to eat, and the staff also recommended some restaurants on the bus.

In addition to the items listed, I recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a waterproof case for your smartphone so you can take photos while paddleboarding.

気候の関係で風が強く、マングローブでのサップと名護湾でのシュノーケリングに変更になりましたが、たくさん写真も撮っていただいて楽しく過ごせました。
その日はおそらく安全のために他のツアー会社も軒並み同じ場所に集まっていたので、どちらの体験でもかなり人が多かったですが、安定した気候の日ならもう少し落ち着いて体験できるのではないかと思います。
ホテルの前まで送迎もしていただき、バスも濡れたままで問題ないとのことで着替え不要だったため荷物もかなり少なくてよかったです。
お昼もターミナルまで送っていただいたので、お店選びには困りませんでしたし、バスの中でスタッフさんおすすめのお店も教えていただけました。
持ち物は書いてあるもの以外では帽子、日焼け止めと、スマホ防水ケースがあればサップ中は自分でも写真が撮れるのでおすすめです。

The sea changed color from transparent to emerald green depending on the sunlight, and the scenery was so beautiful that I found myself stopping to paddle many times! Since we were in Ishigaki, we wanted to fully enjoy the beautiful sea with snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). We found and booked a plan that allowed us to do both in one day!

Due to the weather, we couldn't snorkel at the Blue Cave. We changed our plans, doing snorkeling in the morning at a different location and switching to SUP in the afternoon.

Both snorkeling and SUP were guided by friendly instructors who divided us into groups, making it safe for beginners. During snorkeling, the guide led us with a float, ensuring that even children felt secure. They taught us the names of the fish and took photos of the participants and underwater, which they sent to us later.

It was my first time doing SUP, but the instructions were clear, and everyone was able to stand up and paddle quickly. They also took many photos and sent them to us.

The weather was great, and both the sea and Kabira Bay were beautiful, making it a perfect day.

天候の関係で青の洞窟でのシュノーケルはできませんでした。午前が場所をかえてのシュノーケル、午後がSUPに予定変更。
シュノーケルもSUPもグループに分けて親切なガイドさんがついてくれたから初心者でも安心でした。
シュノーケルはガイドさんが浮き輪を持って先導してくれるので子供も安心。魚の名前を教えてくれたり、参加者の写真や海中の写真を撮って、後で送ってくれました。
SUPは初めてだったけど、わかりやすく教えてくれたので参加者全員がすぐに立って漕ぐことができました。写真もたくさん撮って送ってくれました。
天気が良く、海も川平湾もきれいだったから最高の一日になりました。

It was my first time trying SUP, and there was a briefing on how to use it and paddle, so I was able to ride without any problems! Even though it was October, the weather was still warm, and it was just right to fall in and get wet. The instructor took a lot of photos, so I was satisfied to have both the experience and memories captured. They even got some great shots of me falling! Haha. It was my first experience, but I really enjoyed it. Regarding the shuttle service to and from the location, our guide and instructor, A, provided fascinating insights into Okinawa's culture, history, and local characteristics. I learned that A has lived in Ishigaki Island for over ten years, and I thought they must really love Ishigaki Island, almost like a local. Instructor I also taught us about stand-up paddleboarding in a very thorough manner, allowing us to enjoy it at our own pace. I made a last-minute reservation the night before while watching the weather, as a typhoon was approaching. I was a bit worried about whether I could participate since it was outside of business hours, but I received a reassuring call first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, due to strong winds, we couldn't do SUP, but they suggested kayaking instead, and I joined. The guide was cheerful and entertaining throughout, sharing a lot about Ishigaki Island during our trip. The explanations about the mangroves and the way they taught us how to paddle the kayak were both thorough and kind, making it a really enjoyable tour! They also took a lot of photos, creating wonderful memories. I want to try SUP and since the guide was fantastic, I definitely want to participate again!

I went canoeing at Kabira Bay. The weather was bad that day, so we had to switch from stand-up paddleboarding to canoeing. It was a bit windy, but we were able to enjoy it without any issues. Additionally, the rich nature surrounding Kabira Bay allowed us to spend a relaxing time. Our guide, Mr. Oka, took many photos with a GoPro. He captured beautiful shots with the emerald green and turquoise blue sea of Kabira Bay as the backdrop, creating memorable pictures. After the tour, we received all the data for the photos. It was my first time canoeing, but I enjoyed it without any anxiety until the end! I'm glad I could experience it in Ishigaki!

However, there isn't a place or time to change, so if you plan to participate, I think it's a good idea to consider where to change beforehand.

I went canoeing at Kabira Bay. It was a bit cloudy, but I was able to take a lot of photos. They turned out very beautiful, and I'm satisfied. I chose the full-day course, but we returned near the hotel in the morning and then took a bus to do the same course again in the afternoon, so it might be nice to have different optional activities for the morning and afternoon. It felt like a bit of a time loss there. It would have been better if we had some time to stroll around Kabira Bay during lunch.

I was also anxious about snorkeling, but I received solid support and was able to swim happily. I had misunderstood and thought we would be snorkeling inside the Blue Cave.

The morning mangrove kayak tour was an exciting real jungle cruise! We ventured into cave-like areas and glided close to the mangrove branches... I felt like an explorer, and it was so much fun! The guide, with her lovely smile, provided detailed explanations about Ishigaki Island and the mangroves, which was great! We also took a lot of photos.

In the afternoon, the snorkeling and landing on the Phantom Island was guided by a wonderful guy who also had a great smile. He called each of us by name, which made us feel at ease! He communicated frequently in English with families from overseas and solo participants, so I believe there were no worries for anyone! Perhaps because the coral was more abundant than when I went snorkeling in Miyako and Yoron, I was moved by the variety of fish we encountered. The Phantom Island was so beautiful that it left me speechless.

It was truly a satisfying tour! Thank you for the unforgettable memories. One regret I have is that I should have taken a photo with the two guides.

By the way, the kayak guide mentioned, "Tonight, you can see the Perseids meteor shower, so please consider joining the night tour," and I decided to join on short notice, which was a great decision! I saw an incredibly huge and long shooting star! I'm grateful to the guide who told me about it.

午後のシュノーケリング &幻の島上陸は、お兄さんのガイドさんで、またこの方も素敵な笑顔で、ひとりひとり名前で呼んで頂いて、安心感がありました！海外から来られていたファミリーや1人参加の方にも、英語でこまめにコミュニケーションをとられていて、おそらく不安はなかったと思います！
宮古や与論でシュノーケリングしたときよりも、珊瑚が豊富だからか、たくさんの種類の魚たちに出会えて感動しました
そして幻の島は、きれいすぎて言葉を失いました✨

本当に大満足のツアーでした‼︎一生の思い出をありがとうございました
ひとつ心残りは、ガイドをして下さったお二人と写真撮れば良かったなぁ

余談ですが…

I experienced canoeing and snorkeling at the Blue Cave! The photos taken during the experience were sent to me after I returned to the hotel, allowing me to enjoy them again. The instructors for canoeing and snorkeling were different, but both were very friendly and reliable on the water! I was lucky to see a sea turtle while snorkeling. In the morning, we participated in a SUP session at Kabira Bay, and in the afternoon, we joined a snorkeling tour with the family. I was worried about the rain that started the day before, but somehow it held off, and the tour went ahead! It was the first experience for all of us with SUP, but the instructor provided thorough guidance, and we had a great time(^^).

In the afternoon, due to the weather, we changed from the Blue Cave to Okasaki Beach for snorkeling, but thanks to that, we were able to see a sea turtle☆ The underwater scenery was incredibly beautiful, and we saw coral and many fish! If we have the chance to come again, there's no doubt we'll experience it once more!

午前中は川平湾でSUP、午後はシュノーケリングのツアーに家族で参加しました。前日から降り始めた雨が気掛かりでしたが何とか持ち堪えツアーは決行！SUPは家族全員初体験でしたが、インストラクターの方が丁寧にレクチャーしてくれてすごく楽しめました(^^)
午後のシュノーケリングは天気の都合で青の洞窟から大崎ビーチに変更になりましたが、そのおかげか、ウミガメに会うことが出来ました☆
海の中もすごく綺麗で珊瑚やたくさんの魚を見ることが出来ました！
また今度来ることがあったらもう一度体験すること間違いなしです！

I arrived in Ishigaki Island the night before, so I participated in a one-day tour without knowing much about the island's atmosphere.

In the morning, we started with a mangrove tour. Canoeing was easy for both parents and children, and we enjoyed nature in the wonderful mangroves. The guide explained everything clearly to us, who knew nothing, teaching us about the different types of trees, which was educational. On the way back, the guide shared many sightseeing points, and we enjoyed a delicious recommended hamburger for lunch. We were able to incorporate the points the guide mentioned into our itinerary, making it a great decision to join the tour on our first day.

In the afternoon, we went snorkeling and to the Phantom Island. The snorkeling was simply amazing. I had never experienced seeing so many corals and fish without diving. My 8-year-old daughter was snorkeling for the first time, but the guide supported her, allowing her to participate with peace of mind. I honestly didn't have high expectations for the Phantom Island, but when we actually went there, I was overwhelmed by the power of nature.

Although the guides in the morning and afternoon were different, both were very attentive and shared information about other spots as well. I think if you use this tour, it's even more beneficial to include it early in your trip.

カヌーは親子で簡単に行え、素晴らしいマングローブの中で自然を楽しめました
ガイドさんが何も知らない私たちにわかりやすく説明してくださって、木の種類の違いなどを教えてくださり、勉強なもなりました
帰りの車中で、観光ポイントも沢山教えてくださり、お昼はおすすめのハンバーガーを美味しく頂けて、その後の日程にも教えていただいたポイントを組み込め、初日にツアーに参加してよかったです。

午後はシュノーケル&幻の島へ
シュノーケルはただ、ただ感動
ダイビングしなくても、こんなに珊瑚やお魚が沢山見られるなんて、今までにない経験でした
次女が8歳で初シュノーケルだったのですが、ガイドさんがサポートして下さり、安心して参加できました
幻の島は正直期待してなかったのですが、実際行ってみると自然の力に圧倒されるスポットでした

午前、午後とガイドさんは異なったのですが、お二方とも本当に丁寧なガイドや、他のスポットなども教えてくださるので、ここのツアーを利用するなら、旅行の初めの方に組み込むとさらにお得だな、と思っています

We participated as a family of three adults (a couple in their 50s and a high school-aged son). On the day of the activity, there were occasional downpours and unstable weather, but there were also sunny intervals, so the activities went ahead as planned.

The canoeing was for two people, so with our group of three, one person had to go solo. It was challenging to paddle due to the wind, but we were able to enjoy it with some support along the way. There was about a two-hour gap until the afternoon snorkeling, so we were able to visit Kabira Bay for sightseeing and a meal, but since we couldn't change into dry clothes during this time, dining options were limited. It would be wise to check in advance if possible.

Since it was my first time snorkeling, I struggled a bit with the technique. The instructor was helpful, but time was limited, so it's better to research the basics beforehand. That said, once you get the hang of it, I think anyone can do it (though it might be challenging for families with small children).

The schedule was quite strict, so the pace was pretty fast. It felt somewhat athletic in nature. There aren't any solid facilities nearby for changing into marine shoes, putting on life jackets, or for toilets, showers, and changing rooms (though there is transportation available for those going to the island terminal between the morning and afternoon sessions), so it can feel inconvenient. However, some patience is necessary to enjoy the great outdoors.

That said, it was a wonderfully fulfilling day!

大人家族3人（50代夫婦、高校生男子）で参加しました。
当日は時々スコールもあり不安定な空模様、でも晴れ間もありアクティビティ決行でした。
カヌーは2人乗りで3人グループだと1人乗りが1台です。風もあったので漕ぐのが大変でしたが時々サポートしてもらい楽しめました。午後のシュノケリングまでは2時間程あるので川平湾まで行って観光と食事も楽しめましたが、この間は水着で着替えることができないので食事できる場所は限られます。
できれば確認をした方が懸命です。
シュノーケリングは初めてだったのでやり方が今ひとつわからず悪戦苦闘。インストラクターの方が教えてはくれますが時間はないので、ある程度のやり方は事前に自身で調べておいた方がよいですね。
とは言え、少し慣れてくるとだれでも出来ると思います（小さいお子さん連れは大変そうですが）。
時間キッチリなので、けっこうスピーディーな進行です。割と体育会系な印象です。
アクティビティの場所的にも近くにしっかりとした施設は無いのでマリンシューズの履き替えやライフジャケットの装着場所、トイレ、シャワー、更衣室などはないので（送迎有りで午前と午後の間に離島ターミナルに行く人はあります）不便さは感じます。大自然を味わうにはそういう部分の我慢は多少必要かも。
とは言え素晴らしく充実した1日でしたね。

It's really just a basic experience. The location is shallow (enough to stand) and there are no waves, so you can participate with peace of mind. I was anxious about my first stand-up paddleboarding experience, but the staff were very supportive and taught us well, so I was able to enjoy it. We were taken care of by Instructor Ohno. My daughter was a bit slow at paddling, which made her a little anxious, but Instructor Ohno helped her out, allowing her to paddle in a relaxed state. We made a reservation for four people the day before, and we received a prompt confirmation. Since Kawahira Bay tends to have strong winds, we chose a canoe experience that we could enjoy with peace of mind, and it was incredibly fun to canoe in such beautiful weather! The guide was a wonderful person who was very pleasant, and during the transportation, they shared interesting tidbits about Ishigaki Island. The local instructions were clear, and we were able to take many great photos. Thank you very much. It became a wonderful memory of Ishigaki Island. I would like to use this tour again.

家族4人での前日申込でしたが、すぐに予約OKの回答をいただきました。川平湾が風が強まる傾向にある環境とのことで、安心して楽しめるカヌーを選択しましたが、晴天の絶景のなか体験するカヌーはとても楽しかったです！

The Sagarihana is a flower that blooms during this season in the Okinawa and Yaeyama region, and it opens at night. I thought it would be tough to go alone since it moves at night, so I joined a tour.

After gathering, the tour adjusted the timing and took us to the Tanbuku Farm's garden, where we stayed for about an hour before being transported back. The site was beautifully lit up, and even though it was small, it was enjoyable, so I’m glad I participated. Moreover, since there are hardly any streetlights along the way, I think it’s safer to have someone take you there.

Looking at the Sagarihana, it seemed that about half of the flowers had already finished blooming at Tanbuku Farm, and it appears to be a limited period from late June to early July, so if your schedule allows, it might be a good idea to go see the Sagarihana.

When the Sagarihana blooms, it emits a sweet and unique fragrance, creating a mysterious atmosphere upon arrival, including the sight of the flowers. I definitely recommend experiencing this in person.

サガリバナは、沖縄・八重山地方において、この時期に咲く花で、しかも夜に花が開く花。夜に移動するので、一人で行くのはしんどいと思い、ツアーに参加しました。
ツアーは、集合後に時間調整をしてから、今回は田福農園さんの庭へと連れて行ってもらい、１時間ほど滞在した後に、送迎してもらうという流れでした。現地はライトアップされていて、小さいながらも楽しめまして、参加してよかったです。しかも、道中はほとんど街灯もない場所ですので、連れて行ってもらった方が安心だと思います。
また、サガリバナの状況をみると、田福農園さんの方は半分ぐらい花が咲き終わった感じでして、６月後半から７月前半までの期間限定のようですので、予定が合えばサガリバナを見に行くのもよいのではないでしょうか。

サガリバナは、咲くと甘いような独特の匂いを発するので、現地に到着すると、花の様子も含めて不思議な感じになります。これは是非とも実際に現地で体験して欲しいです。
